[Q] Viper Xperia V5.0 Wi-fi problems - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I just installed the Viper Xperia v5.0 and everything works perfectly but the wi-fi..
I have installed the vengeance modules but no luck.. HELP!

When in aroma you have to select the kernel you use...

If you are on stock Rom then flash the stock WiFi modules... Elise search foot ur kernel specific WiFi patch and flash through cwm that should solve it...

[Q] Wifi tethering problem on JJ's Hybrid Rom

Hello to all!
I've got a problem with wifi tethering on JJ's Hybrid after updating from 3.2 to 3.3b and/or updating busybox. Both cause the same problem. No connection after updating.
Tried everything from full wipe to reflashing Firmware. Also tried different kernels Incl. modules (Xarc, KtgAnzu,DooMKernel,ArcKnight) and reflashing modules. But nothing solved my problem.
-Supercharged Xperia Arc
-unlocked bootloader
-ArcKnight Kernel 4.1
Anyone with a solution? 
Sorry for my english, it ain't my native language.
Thanx in advance!

There are ROMs that just don't support WifiTethering. You might be on such. So, you should try to install other version.

Don't waste your time, Wifi tethering is not working on JJ's rom or any other AOSP based Rom.
Another thing not working as well is the in-call mute button.
Press thanks if this helped

It works on 3.2. The Update to 3.3b causes that problem. Also updating the busybox to the latest version causes this issue.
JJ's Rom is a hybrid between aosp and stock. That's why wifi tethering works...

Might be the fact it's on your second slot. I don't have those issues, so it could be that.
Well, I've actually had a video conversation on Skype on PAC Rom + turbo kernel 3.1 without any issue. Rom is in internal memory(1st slot).
I don't know about other issues mentioned as I'm only using microphone for Skype (rarely) and obviously I'm using it in-call

Can anyone know a solution pls.
I am unable to multiboot two or more then two roms on this kernel,
no matter which Rom GB or ICS or Jb it doesn't work. It's a kernel issue or something else.
I am using multiboot aware roms only.
Thanks

download a new one of the rom(make sure it multiboot aware). and make sure the size of the zip is correct (something u will get a corrupt zip).
u should make a clean install, flash back phoenix vendor ftf. boot up. flash turbo v3.1 kernel back .wipe data, cache, system. and flash the rom again.
because there is no non such issue.

For every boot slot.. u need to set manually to GB ICS OR JB.. are you doing that ??
Yeah, I have done that (downloading new roms and the kernel again) and now the Rom (gb or ics any) in the first slot is working. But in the 2nd slot none of the roms worked. I read the multiboot kernel guide also.
Any idea for working rom in the 2nd slot.
Thanks

What is 1st slot rom and 2nd slot rom? And tell me how did u install 2nd rom? What kernel u using(version) ? Did u flash the Phoenix vendor ftf?
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
First of all I flashed the phoenix vendor ftf file then booted my phone and after successfully booting it to stock gb I shut it off.
Then I have flashed the turbo kernel v3.1 and then went to recovery and wiped data, cache, dalvik cache and flashed the ics Rom (zip already present in sd card) in slot 1. Then rebooted and successfully booted to ics.
Then I again rebooted to recovery and created slot 2 for gb rom with more system & user data space. And wiped data, cache & dalvik cache. And flashed auroraplay rom and restarted BUT ON RESTARTING THE PHONE FREEZES at the boot. I have also waited about 15mins but no luck.
Details -
Recovery - turbo kernel v3.1
Slot 1 - ICS Rom
Slot 2 - GB Rom
SD Card - Class 4
Has anybody else got a problem like this.
BTW thanks again everyone for the help.

[Q] Wifi & Bluetooth on CM 10.1 with Fusion v5.5

Hi there,
I got moPROJECT42 V4 Rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290527
with Fusion v5.5 Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1926299
on my Device. My problem is that wifi and bluetooth are not working neither with Fv5.5 or F4.5. It worked perfectly with nAa Kernel, but Fusion is much smoother and battery is stronger. Actually Wifi modules should be included.
I Already reflashed Rom & Kernel and rebooted several times. Anyone knows what to do?
Go into Fusion topic, download Fusion modules, install them via CWM Recovery.
No it won't work... Known problem...cm10.1 doesn't work properly with 2.6 kernels...Wi-Fi should work but Bluetooth won't...

I installed them, but still not working. Is there any other solution?
Not unless you change the code in the kernels itself. CM10.1 has new WiFi drivers

small problem with doomlord v6 and trinity 4.1 combination.

well trinity kernal 6.0 is very bugy and laggy and trunity kernal 5.5 and doomlord kernal v6 are great with rom v4.1 but the problem is they have some problem with wifi. wifi dont work when ever i flash doomlord kernal or trinity 5.5 kernal but it works when i flash kernal 6.0 which is included with package. wifi option in setting is like little gray, like wifi driver or somthing is missing and on/off button dont slide. but when i try to hit the slide button manny times, it gave the message of wifi turing on and nothing more.

here what i did>> flashed the 4.1(full ckean install) doomlord kernal then i extraced wifi modules from trinity 4.1 zip and here is the path >>TVRx>wifi>lib>modules>bcm4330.ko . so i made the zip if this path and flashed it but CMW said >> openning package>intalling package>installation aborted<<. is this the right way to flash module?
