Just to verify the process, here is the situation: I have an Arc, running stock ICS kernel with JJ's hybrid ROM v2. I originally had baseband 56, and just yesterday flashed baseband 70 on it. However, I was wondering if it was necessary (for full functionality) to reflash the kernel and ROM, or am I safe having only flashed the baseband?
You'll need to boot a kernel using fastboot. Check the dev forums for an appropriate kernel if there's no link in the thread.

Well, I already have a running kernel and ROM, I'm just curious to whether or not I need to RE-flash those things. My phone is still working now that I've flashed baseband 70 and haven't RE-flashed the kernel or ROM.

you have stock kernel??
you must flash wifi module...if you have stock kernel with 4.0.4 and .587 flash this in CWM Recovery --> http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1273583&d=1345565020
I had similar prob with WiFi when using this Rom,have shut down taken battery out, if you have then you might need to reflash custom Rom again.

Did anybody have any 3G/network problems using doomkernel v22. As for me,I had some problems enabling 3G, and sometimes when I reboot the phone, network can not be found - but I am not sure, if this is kernel related?

Strange. I changed to Lupus kernel, data seems ok, when I reboot phone, network is there everytime. But, it is not as smooth as doomkernel. I do get some lag in homescreen, menu. I'll have to try Advanced Stock Kernel then (for Increase Internal Memory script), I hope it will work with that script.

i mean u can use cwm / twrp any recovery on phone to re-flash the same kernel (.zip) u just flashed, usually works fine to me
Have you tried installing Internet and MMS settings? It's under the More... in settings. Just click on Internet settings and accept it. It should get your wifi connectivity back (with some other stuff like Mobile Traffic). If not, re-flash the kernel lol
