I can't copy any files to my phone. It's the same on internal memory & SD Card. "Error says stopped responding or is no longer connected"
I've changed roms; went back to stock, rebooted & powered off. This is driving me crazy. :fingers-crossed:
There was one rom that did not want to copy. I tried to delete this but I can't figure out how.
Did you enable USB debugging?

Yes, I'd tried all that. It was one rom holding me up. All is well now. Thanks.

This is not a problem with my phone its a friends.
He has tried every cm9 stable, cm10, and other roms to see if it would fix he tried Odin back to stock but his phone wouldn't show up. He has all the drivers installed. But mounting mass storage just doesn't work. I've read a few threads where people say its a bug with t-989 but I'm not sure cause I don't own the phone.
Once again this is not my phone its a friends. I own a skyrocket he owns t989. Just trying to figure it out for him. Thanks for your support.
Edit: oh and it does charge through USB port just doesn't mount.

Yeah, try what the guy above said because the drivers should enable it. What OS are u running on your PC?
Yea, my phone was doing the same thing then I went to the Samsung website and downloaded the Note II USB driver.
This isn't from the Samsung website but downloaded and tested right before posting and was exact same thing.

You can download Wi-Fi tether app you know. Our better yet extract the Wi-Fi tether app from the 8.0 rom and install our insert in newer rom and flash

ok i went through this 3 times, 1 sprints note to root, and atnt's, and then back to sprint again and im not sure exactly how i did it each time but heres what i did .........in no particular order but im pretty sure i did the root kit drivers first all 3 times.....that didnt work out for file mode so then i tried the naked driver......after restarting i remember uninstalling and checking delete driver for whatever said android or Samsung but not ADB....and then be4 i restarted i redid the naked driver......restarted.......then plug in phone and whatever ur on wither that mtp **** or the camera one under storage in settings or where ever the hell it is....switch it....wait a bit look at if windows is doing any driver installing...when done or if not, go back to mtp ....and that worked for me all 3 times on the same pc with windows 7........ohh and also the samsung driver stuff with all that kies stuff was installed also but i dont remember what order......hope that helps.....if u understood it....lol
Not sure if this helps but I experienced the same problem. I was using a different usb cable and as soon as I switched to the original cable that came with my phone it worked

My phone charger port took a crap. I had the phone rooted with CM10.1. I need to get it back to stock somehow.
I am trying to figure out which files i need to flash to do this. I tried to flash a stock ICS file but it didnt work and now the phone will not start up.
I can get into the stock recovery mode but it wont flash zip files. ODIN will not detect my phone. Im guessing its because the port is messed up.
Please help i need to fix this i need my phone for work.

Try clearing cashe and dalvik with your stock recovery. That may help.

There's is no dalvic clear option. And when I boot up the phone all I get is the Samsung galaxy s2 screen then it goes blank and does nothing

You have a friend that can charge it for you? If not you could ask Sprint very nicely if they could charge it so you don't have to buy an external charger. Think your phone will be okay if you can get a full battery.

Yes I can but when I plug it in to my computer it dosent connect. Probably because the USB port is messed up. It won't change or connect to the computer

Im kinda thinking im screwed. unless there is a file i can put on my sd and flash it with the stock recovery. but the stock recovery wont flash zip files.....

If I'm not mistaken, you can flash an OTA with the stock recovery after renaming it to "update.zip".

I don't think the OPs phone is booting. That OTA update.zip thing might be your best bet. Put it on the root of your Sd. I'm not sure how you're gonna get it on your internal SD card if that's where it needs to be...

Remove card from phone, install into micro sd card holder that comes with most micro sd's, insert into your pc's media card slot, drag and drop file into card. Bingo!

Have you tried using a different USB port / cord? I know that our phones don't play well with 3.0 usb ports.

Awesome, I felt like it had something to do with the hardware. Just a hunch?
I just checked my phone for storage and realised that 21gb was photos and videos but my phone is the 16gb model. I also have have about 150 photos in my phone but no videos... Is this just a glitch? Or is it something more serious?

Have u tried restarting your phone? If u did, are u using stock ROM? If yes, then it should be a software problem. If no, flash another ROM and see If the problem persists.

I restarted it many times but it is still there. I am using Stock rom (4.1.2) but with RedPill kernel. It doesn't bug me but I want to know if there is a way to get rid of it.
