Did you do a factory reset after the Odin flash? This is important.
Download battery calibration from app store. Charge it to 100% then calibrate. Maybe this helps

Is your Note rooted and/or installed an custom rom?
Remove the Maps update if you have done it lately.

I'm experiencing battery drain on all ROMs I try except my backed up 4.1.1 RLS14.1 install. I've odined back to Stock UVDLJA and re rooted and flashed another ROM and the battery drain is still there on all ROMs, Syn energy, RLS15, WICKED v6. Android system seems to be taking up tons of battery in GSam Battery Monitor. There's definitely wake locks on a clean install..what else can I do?
Edit : I have an 8GB SD card and I haven't formatted it since experiencing the problem, should I?

I felt I had the same problem so I completely wiped my phone (cache/dalvik/factory reset/format data) and then reinstalled darthstalker with xone kernel and my battery life went from **** to great. I went from like 1% per minute of screen on to like 3-5.... yeah I had bad battery drain. I don't understand what could've possibly caused it, maybe too much flashing and eventually **** started to bog down underneath it all.

There have been many people with the system causing battery drain, and using Odin to go back to stock usually fixes the issue. I have seen it a couple of times after flashing a new rom, but it has gone away after a couple full charge cycles.

Me and my parents got the s3 while ics was still out. We upgraded to jb (4.1) now the battery don't last as long as it did, dad says it has taken at least 24 hours off his battery. How do we fix the battery issue and rooting etc is not an option! Thanks

try different socks... In all seriousness do a factory reset... while updating to a newer version of android it is best to start from scratch.

you might need to do multiple battery cycles. fully drain and recharge. or if your device is rooted. try the battery calibrator app in the play store.
As mentioned rooted is not an option but will try the cycle, also the phone seems a lot slower than when ics

You should still root and flash a custom ROM. Something like cm10.1
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Ours is still on contract and parents won't root cause they think it will mess it up so need to get it to work properly with the stock rom, update is the problem I flashes mine back to ics and it's mega fast and the battery lasts ages.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Well did research. The batteries don't have memory's so they don't need battery cycles to fix the issue any more help ta

Flashed the ROM and for some reason my per me is taking a very very long time to charge. Anyone else have this issue. It doesn't matter if its my extended battery or my stock battery

I do not have this issue. Reflash the ROM , make sure you full wipe. If it is still slow at charging try ktoonsez kernel. Every phone is different, maybe yours doesn't like underwear.

I did a full wipe and even tried to flash KT kernel and when I did that I got a failed notification. So it won't let me flash KT kernel. From dead I charged my phone, while off, for seven hours and it only got to 70 percent and it was slow getting to that point. Battery consumption on the other hand has not changed at all.

Try downloading everything again. If you can always check the md5 , sounds like a botched download or a bad flash. Start over from the very beginning.

Just make sure to completely wipe your data after update. And always check what applications running in your background that causes battery drain. Most of Note II users had a same problem because they didn't wipe their Note II after upgrade.
Yes I do factory reset... but still have battery drain.
There any fix without root??

Maybe you can perform remove bloatware by using ROM Cleaner after install a new ROM? And as I mention before, always check running background apps to see what apps "eat" your battery.
