What is going on here....no rouge apps as far as I'm aware of
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda premium

Uh.... i have 5%....
If i have a problem like this i would wipe to factory reset and/or flashing the FW new.
Maybee you installed an app in last time where is the reason why you are at 30%?
Is your Note rooted and/or installed an custom rom?

Remove the Maps update if you have done it lately.

Phone freezing Shell granted su access?

My phone has been locking up on the homescreen. I can't scroll pages or open apps. It then comes back to working and says "shell granted su access" on the bottom of the screen . Are these two instances connected ? How do I fix it from freezing like this?
Mine does the exact same thing, have no idea what causes it but it does become a pita!

OK, did this appear after rooting or after flashing a ROM once rooted? If it is first option how did you root (link would be helpful) and what is your superuser app?

Okay so I had this same problem happen again and so I started searching all over and came across a thread in the i9300 section where another was having a similar problem. He concluded that after the phone had been up for 24 hours or so there was a big memory leak with kiesexe found in /system/bin. So he made a cwm zip that disabled kiesexe in that folder. I flashed it the other day and haven't had that problem yet and I've also gained about 100 mb more ram! I'm just heading to bed so I'll post it all tomorrow for anybody else having that stupid issue!

Fixed it on mine by installing supersu from market ..make sure to give it root access then remove superuser.. there is some bug in last version OS superuser.

[Q] Problems after flashing

Yesterday I flashed TW JellyBean 747, ever since my battery has died in about 5 hours, my phone gets hot and the screen guess crazy. Any ideas?
Sent from my SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
Did you do a full wipe before flashing? It sounds like you have conflicting software running the processor crazy. In any case i would do a full wipe and reinstall the ROM again, if the problem persists then your phone may not like that particular ROM.

Try downloading romtoolbox lite (link at bottom) from the market and going to the second tab with cpu manager. Having downloaded these roms before some people set the minimum cpu really high to boost the benchmarks of their rom. If its high turn it down. It might help. Don't forget to slap that thanks button

Battery socks!

Me and my parents got the s3 while ics was still out. We upgraded to jb (4.1) now the battery don't last as long as it did, dad says it has taken at least 24 hours off his battery. How do we fix the battery issue and rooting etc is not an option! Thanks

try different socks... In all seriousness do a factory reset... while updating to a newer version of android it is best to start from scratch.

you might need to do multiple battery cycles. fully drain and recharge. or if your device is rooted. try the battery calibrator app in the play store.
As mentioned rooted is not an option but will try the cycle, also the phone seems a lot slower than when ics

You should still root and flash a custom ROM. Something like cm10.1
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Ours is still on contract and parents won't root cause they think it will mess it up so need to get it to work properly with the stock rom, update is the problem I flashes mine back to ics and it's mega fast and the battery lasts ages.

Well did research. The batteries don't have memory's so they don't need battery cycles to fix the issue any more help ta

Verizon 4.2 update

I just updated my galaxy nexus last night to 4.2 from the OTA and I have to say I'm not so pleased with the experience. My phone seems laggy , slower, etc. Is anyone else getting a similar experience? Or what should I do to improve this?

Maybe I should try that. I forgot to save my root prior to the OTA update so I lost it :-\

Actually it doesn't seem so bad now that I am home from work on WiFi. I get a really bad signal from the place I work maybe that's what was slowing down the phone?

Phone very laggy?

I'm currently running the note s4 rom. My phone will randomly lock up and get terribly laggy. I was on the newest stock ota and decided to flash the note s4 rom. The phone still acted like this on the stock rom also. I've still got lag and freezing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Don't you think this belongs in your roms thread. Rather than in question forum. Go over there and talk about your problems WITH THE ROM YOU'RE USING.

If you read his post he says it happens on stock as well. So before Flaming someone maybe at least know what's going on.
Op, is there something that makes it happen? Specific apps, something like that?

Try to do a clean wipe and clean install again. It might help with it being laggy. I usually do a full wipe and clean install every 2 months, even when using the same rom, That's just me.
POWERED by the MASTER!
Ive tried odining back to complete stock and wiping everything and then flashing the rom. It seems to do it at random. A reboot seems to fix the issue for a few hours. It's only done it once or twice so far today.
