SD card prob

im running WM6 on a ks20.
recently, ive had a problem with pictures and videos stored on the sdcard. if they are of a higher quality, i cant seem to view them more than once.
For instance, i take a 1600x1200 picture. i view it with the default image viewer. it displays fine. however after a while if i try to open it again, it says "cannot load file" and when i copy the photo to my pc, it get's corrupted and becomes all fuzzy. any ideas?
Also, could it be that i installed the SDHC patch? if so, does anyone know where i can download the original sdbus and sdmemory dll files? i forgot to back mine up :\
i found the problem! it happens when i take a high res picture (eg 1600x1200) and save it to the mem card. then if i wait for the phone to go to sleep (ie. display blacks out) and then turn on the screen once again and immediately try to access the photo on the mem card, it'll corrupt the photo.
lol. it's as though the sdcard went to sleep along with the screen
ideas?

Taking pics while recording video NOT working with SD Card

Taking a picture while recording works fine if I let the camera save to my internal memory. However, if I choose the external card, it will act like it's taking the pic while recording, but it doesn't save the pic. It saves the pic, but not the video. Again, it all works fine if I save to internal memory. Is this problem my SD card or the phone? I've noticed this problem on stock and two other custom roms. Thanks for any help.

Camera taking long to save photo to gallery.

Whenever I take a photo, it takes a good 1-2 seconds before the photo is saved to the gallery. If I close the camera app before it's saved(when i see it show up in the gallery shortcut of the camera), the photo does not save.
Is this a LG thing or what?

G6 was pretty slow like that, and I know I had SD card issues too. Are you saving your pictures to your SD card?
Sent from my LM-G710 using Tapatalk
same issue for me - no SD card weird
Yeah I tried both storage options and both just as slow. Though with SD card I also had a problem of it saying unable to save to SD card..... a restart of the phone fixed that problem.

Corrupted photos?

Does this happen to anyone else? Random pictures I take will sometimes get corrupted and half of the image goes Grey. Sometimes If I look at the thumbnail in the album app, it seems to look fine until I open it, after a while I suppose the thumbnail updates and that goes Grey too. I have the Google photo backup running and that will upload Grey as well

Never happened to my photos.
Do you save your photos on internal or an external sdcard.
Some time ago i had corrupted pictures because of a defect sdcard, but the whole picture was grey in my case.
Yeah, looks like corrupted jpeg file.
Maybe your sdcard is faulty.
(I hope it isn't the internal storage)
It is external, I'll swap it and test, thanks for the tips

pictures and videos

This has just occurred. Whenever I take a picture or video it doesn't store in my gallery, as before. Well not store, I can't playback videos, and pictures are unable to open. Comes up with a grey screen and an exclamation sign. Yet you can see videos and pictures are there! You can see pictures and videos in the thumbnail preview just can't open them. Any ideas what to do???

I remember having this issue with a "new" SD card (that was actually a fake one). Files were corrupted hence the system is not able to open them. Maybe you have a corrupted file causing the issue.
I ended returning the fake SD card and returned to my old one, I'm sorry if this is not too helpful.
Cheers,
Seems to be sorted. I just took out the SD card, then after re-inserting it I unmounted the SD card and then mounted it again. Seems to be OK. Keep all posted. Could be helpful to others.
