hey all.
been using a note 2 n7105 for about 45 days. bought the thing unlocked at a great price. had her rooted and rom ed same day.
In my surfing around i find every carrier has their own model of the note 2, at&t has the 317, etc,
My question is can the mod described here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2068041
work on the 7105 or is there a custom rom that will enable tmobile AWS on its own?
or should i try something else>
thanks in advance.

Hello,
I have the ability to purchase a T-Mobile Note 2 right now. The problem is my carrier is AT&T. I'm not interested in getting LTE to work only HSPA+, but will that even work? To do it, would I have to unlock it, how would I do that? Also once it is unlocked and working with AT&T, would I flash AT&T Note 2 ROMs or the T-Mobile Note 2?
Thanks,
Chughes13x
Man, how many of these TMobile on ATT posts do there have to be? Search before posting!
Yes it works, I get 8Mbps down on good days, worst I have seen is 2 Mbps. You will have to unlock your phone, SEARCH for the free unlock. I've seen it posted here, in the N7100 forums and S3 forums. You should be able to find easily. For roms, stick with the TMobile roms on a TMobile phone.
If you don't have plans on going to TMobile or LTE, I would suggest the N7100 international version. More rom development, faster firmware leaks and releases. I also got better battery life out of my N7100. I kind of wish I would not have traded my N7100 for the TMobile Note2. The TMobile version is easier to hack if you want to put it on an ATT dumb phone plan.
[Q] Possibly stupid question regarding the difference between AT&T version and N7100
Hey guys, just wondering if there are any differences between the N7100 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1790) and the AT&T one? Is the Rogers one the same as the AT&T one or the N7100? Aren't they supposed to be the same phone? On GSM Arena, for example, it says the N7100 has LTE.
Would Rom's from the AT&T version work on the N7100?
Thanks a lot!!!!
Rogers/Fido, Telus/Koodo, Bell/Virgin are all deemed the i317m, same factory Rom different carrier apps/bloatware, if I remember reading correctly. At&t is the i317. The difference is just the "m" and the carrier bloatware I believe and At&t's stock Rom. If you have a Rogers Note 2 ...i317m then you're in the right place, the At&t Note 2 section.
A great starting place is here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987541 The second question about the International Note 2 look at this mod here of the n7100 Roms being ported to i 317/(m). http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2018411
I have a Bell i317m unlocked dialing on the Rogers network rocking Novella an At&t based Rom so welcome home. Well once you get a Rogers Note 2 upon seeing your sig.
So I recently bought a Tmobile Note 2 with the intentions of using it on straight talk (att sim). I downgraded to 4.1.1, unlocked it, and flashed the att cleanrom with radios and all, then flashed the att perseus kernel. I haven't had an issue at all. This seems odd that we have different forums for the note 2 when the devices are identical other than radios and roms/kernels are completely interchangeable.
So if I flash a Tmobile rom, can I simply flash att radios and be set, or do I even need to do that?
Also, the Sprint note 2 recently got official Google wallet support. Does that make it easier for the rest of us to get and use it?

Hy, i don't t get it... all of the roms here can be used on n7105 as well? If yes, why is there a section for n7105 at n7100 original thread?
(I'm on Hungarian T-Mobile)

The N7100 is the International version and the N7105 is the International version with LTE. The N7105 is pretty much the same as the T-Mo and ATT Note 2. I don't think flashing N7100 ROMs is a good idea.
Sent from my T-Mo Note 2
Nono, i mean flashing att and other tmo roms.
In this forum T-Mobile is really T-Mobile USA. (IMO the forum's name could be modified, but that's beyond my control.)
If T-Mobile Hungary sells the N7105 then you'd be OK flashing T889 ROMs on it, as well as I317 ones. But the question I have is: why? Aside from a few T-Mobile branded icons, or wi-fi calling which is only useful if you have a T-Mobile USA account, those ROMs usually aren't as up to date as their N7105 relatives. They also lack the language and locale settings you'd need to use it in Hungarian.
DO NOT flash LTE Note II ROMs on non-LTE Note 2 variants. There are significant hardware differences between the two.
I bought a used Verizon Note 3 and the shop I bought it from set it up to run on Tmobile ... I would like to try a Tmobile ROM and want to know if that will cause any conflicts with my service from Tmobile. I don't care about wifi calling, if that makes any difference ...
All responses appreciated!
Not possible to install TMO Note 3 roms on a Verizon Note 3, as long as your Verizon Note 3 has LOCKED BOOTLOADER. I don't think there's a way to unlock it. Bad Verizon, Bad ATT, pure evilness.

I think you can get around it with Side Strap. That's what I have on my rooted Verizon Note 3.
