[MOD][31.08.2013] White Percentage Batteries, ARHD 3x.x & other Sense ROMs - HTC One X

Hi there,
this battery mod is a continuation/addition of my discontinued mod:
[MOD] Battery White Circle, increments 1%, ARHD & other Sense based ROMs
The circle batteries from the above mentioned discontinued mod are of course still available in this mod installer. (Credits to UOT Kitchen for the circle images)
Further i've created 9 Stock style batteries in white, blue and green color in Photoshop from scratch.
I've added 2 Stock green and blue battery variants - with and without numbers; so you can get back to Stock if you like
All (eleven) batteries are "one percentage incrementation" batteries.
A new feature is that the mod installer contains only one SystemUI.apk!
All batteries variants will be created from this one by injecting your chosen battery variant images and zipaligning the created SystemUI.apk before installing it on your device.
In addition to the provided batteries you can flash custom batteries by copying your prefered battery png files to a folder "/sdcard/custom_battery".
Please check "Requirements & Installation / Troubleshooting -> Custom batteries" for installing instructions!
This mod is made for ARHD ROMs primary - but it should work on all other Sense ROMs (as reported, probably on HTC One X+ too) with the same base version number.
If you are not on ARHD ROM, please check if your ROM uses a customized SystemUI.apk, since it will be replaced by my mod and may cause unexpected
behaviour of your ROM!

Requirements & Installation / Troubleshooting:
Requirements:
ARHD ROMs for HTC One X, should work on other Sense ROMs for HTC One X with the same base version number as well (Feedback, if it works on other ROMs would be nice)
At least ~25MB of free space on sdcard for unpacking/packing/zipaligning processes during installation.
Installation:
Always install the most recent mod zip file - should be the bottommost of the available downloads for usual...
Move the mod zip file to your scard.
Restart your device, boot into recovery, install it from there
Custom batteries:
Copy your prefered battery png files to a folder "/sdcard/custom_battery".
These png files must have the correct pixel size of 50x50 pixels and you must provide at least 205 files.
It doesn't matter if you don't have files like "stat_sys_battery_*a.png" (check the file/folder structure list below for this filenames) - these files will be created by the mod if missing!
If you provide less than 205 battery png files, those files are not made for one percentage incrementation and SystemUI may not work correctly!
So provide your battery png's on sdcard, run mod installer from recovery and choose "Custom battery".
After installation, you can delete the folder "/sdcard/custom_battery"; or leave it if you want to use it again when updating to a new ROM version.
Here a list of the correct files and folder structure (on sdcard):

Troubleshooting:
Battery style doesn't change or is not the expected one:
My mod replaces SystemUI.apk in your /system/app folder. When you flashed my mod and afterwards another mod which in turn replaces (MY) SystemUI.apk,
you will never see any of my batteries.
The installation of this mod requires least ~25MB of free space on sdcard for unpacking/packing/zipaligning processes during installation.
The Installation may fail if there is not enough free space on sdcard.
Maybe you use an app which provides its own battery by "surpressing" system battery. In this case you will never see any of my batteries.
The Mod installer nags around "This is not a HTC One X, would you like to install anyway?", and after installation i can't see any of the provided batteries:
You are not using the device the mod is made for - there are dozens of possible reasons why the installation may fail.
Please ask an battery modder/themer in the forums of your device to integrate my batteries in his mod.
Please understand that i cannot perform any customization requests, since i just did this Battery variants originally for my personal use - but i want to share this of course with you.
I only checked the compatibility to the mentioned ROM, so if you don't know what you're doing or you want to try it on another ROM, please do a Nand backup first - better safe than sorry!
If you want to use my Battery Mod or internal, essential elements in your own mods or ROMs, credit me!
Regards, brush2
If you like my Battery Mod, a click on Thanks would be nice.

Thank you for this awesome mod. I use circle battery 100% white and it fits best the whole status bar.
If you ever want to make a stock white battery without %, it will be most appreciated.

Hi mate.
I am sorry it didn't work on your device.
Let us check why it didn't work.
Please tell me which mod file did you use. ( brush2_wpb_3.19.401.1.zip or brush2_wpb_3.19.401.1_plus_one.zip ?)
Please install it again; when almost finished with the installation there is an option to save the installation log file.
Save the log and remind the its path on sdcard (the log file is located in the same folder the mod installer gets started from)
Please send the log file as post attachment here, so i can check it for any installation/permission issues.
EDIT 11:31am:
I've re-checked installations of all battery variants of the most recent installer (brush2_wpb_3.19.401.1_plus_one.zip).
All installations were successfully and in every case i restarted Android to check if the correct battery is displayed.
Please check topic Installation/Troubleshooting in OP post again!

Hi mate,
I checked the log file you uploaded.
At the bottom of the log I noticed, that some essential libs are missing/ or corrupted in your ROM.
It looks like you should re-flash your ROM, to get your device back to a consistent state.
So its not a mod installation issue - its more a corrupted ROM.

Really strange,
your log file should definitely issues regarding missing or currupted certain system libs.
Nobody else have such issues with my mod.
Which battery would you like to install?
I will create a standard updater-zip for you with your chosen battery for ARHD 20.x, so we can check some basic functions on your device.

Hi skeltukas,
i finished the updater-zip with "battery circle white" for ARHD 20.x - and you can find it attached to this post.
[ MD5 : 4606ef201f76935fa59cc21b548cb02c ]
This should work on your device - but the main problem with your device/rom is still not fixed...
You should try to re-flash ROM, then immediately my mod - and afterwards no other mod!
Then check if it works.
Maybe some other mod or theme on your device causes these issues.
Hope it helps,
Regards,

Have the same problem like you. Trying to install stock green battery with % and the battery stays the same after reflashing rom and mod.
Using a clean ARHD 20.1 rom.
Hope that you will find a way to fix that.

Hey I'm also getting no change after installation
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app

I did a little update with a new MOD. I hope you'll like it.
Worked with Doc 9.1.4 with Darky 8.0 Theme.
hey has anyone flashed this on 9.1? does it work?
I think there are some changes in the framework. I will make a version for 9.1 these days.

I did it and it seemed to be working.
What's the change in the framework?
Thanks for this. I was just wondering if you could also remove the text "Darky's Rom" from the extended rom menu. It really bugs me how you have to scroll to see all the options. I tried to do it myself with apk manager but I can never get the compiled framework to work
Just tried in 9.0.2, they did not work.
@abitzsong: most times it will work without problems. But if you flash the version from 9.0 you also change back some other things to 9.0. I d'ont exactly know the changes they made in the framework. But it's just cleaner and better to flash my version for 9.1 coming very soon.
@Mothatt: a the moment i have no time to this. Sorry.
@rOck4n: what is exactly the problem that it did not work? I had several people which had no problems with 9.0.1 and 9.0.2
That's ok, could you just tell me what tools you used to decompile/compile the framework-res.apk? or did you just replace the pngs?
Reading the topic I expected something else, lol.
Was hoping to find a simple solution to my problem; having a circular battery icon in the upper left corner (darky's) and another custom icon next to the time in the right corner (theme) and not knowing how to remove darky's battery icon. I should be able to reflash reflash darky with battery disabled, but then I would have to reflash lots of other stuff as well and I'm not a fan of that...

They didn't change, the battery's still the same icon. Maybe i'll try doing a re-flash.
EDIT: Re-Flashed with CWM again, and nothing changed.
@iammichel: but you have to just uninstall the circle battery app, or am I wrong
@rOck4n: Unfortunately I have no idea whats wrong there. perhaps you can try it with the new version on darkys 9.1
there is the next update done. look at the first post.

You were right, thanks! I thought it was somewhere embedded in the mod but should have known it isn't simply because the normal battery icon isn't replaced.
Has anybody else noticed the charge icon is differnet on the android lock screen and the jog/unlock bars colours are wrong, or is it just me?
Please write which version of mod you use. I noticed nothing like that.
Ahh sorry, I was using the vukandric's battery mod on Darky's 9.1
Thank you mothatt. I actually didn't notice the different icon on andriod lockscreen because i use another one. But you are right. It is wrong in every mod. But i think its not that bad, so i will change it by updating on an new darky rom version if its okay.
With the bars i can't notice anything. ( left is green, right is gray) I didn't change anything on the lockscreens.

[Q] RCMIX S 2.0 CM7 and battery mods

Hi all,
I just installed RCMIX S 2.0 CM7 (before I was ugind leedroid), but I'm getting troubles installing battery mods...
I tryed a lot of mods found in the thread and some others cooked by myself with UOT, but all the times the battery icon don't change. Some of them modify the boot screen, the fonts, but the battry icon is always the same...
Some advice? someone can give me the options used on the UOT for a working version?
Best regards.
Use the UOT - and when requested upload the given files (sorry can't get screenshot now - kitchen under maintenance).
But it should be framework-res.apk, SystemUI.apk and one more
Everything else should be default (except the setting you've customzied)/
Make a nandorid before flashing!

I have to select some options about data++ or not? (I'm using the RCMIX S 2.0 CM7)
Last times I selected RCMIX from the kitchen list, I have to upload my files?
Best regards
On The Page where u upload files (and u dont need to upload The files) there is a Box on The left side u have to tick. Cant remember which One but think its something with data++.

[THEME/MOD] Boeffla-Mod 4.1 XWJW5 stock+blue (ODEX/DEODEX) [20-04-2012]

Hi all,
this is the XWJW5 version of the meanwhile well-known Boeffla-Mod theme.
Latest updates:
Addon 3 now made public as many people were interested in using my ext4 remount script for Semaphore Kernel users running on ext4. Basically it adds commit times to the file system mounts which should in theory add smoothness to the phone and might improve battery usage slightly (nothing confirmed, just personal experience).
You can choose between the known "greenish" stock theme and a blue themed mod (my personal favourite).
Version history:
Version 4.1
Transparent dialer
Transparent contacts list
Semi-transparent power saving widget with green or blue bars
Deodexed roms now supported (however NOT tested by me!!!)
Addon1 (13-Toggle Mod) now availabe for extra installation
Addon2 (disable scrolling cache for smoother scrolling) now availabe for extra installation
Version 4.0
Stock and blue theme available
Battery icon with percentage numbers (green or blue circle)
Animated charging battery icons
Connection icons turn to green/blue when fully connected
Statusbar icons changes for blue theme
Extended power menu
Quickpanel icons (ICS style)
Transparency effects in pull down
Change overscroll glow to white for stock theme (blue for blue theme)
CRT off animation
ICS window animations
Autodetection of odex/deodex version to apply
All apks Zipaligned
In the pipeline to come in next versions:
13-toogles mod
ZaneZams add-ons
...more...
Just flash (in CWM Recovery) one of the attached versions, you do not have to care about odex or deodex - this will be handled by the installer automatically.
If you want to flash Add-ons, please flash one of the two main themes first, then apply the add-ons in the order of the add-on number:

Screenshots can be found in the thread for the XWJW1 version of Boeffla-Mod.
If you want to undo, just flash the rollback file in CWM and you are back to XWJW5 stock.
As always: Flash on our own risk! Make sure you have some space on /system left before you flash. I can and will not take any responsibility for bricked phones.
And on a very special request, I want you to know I used partially apktool (1.4.3) to do my mod. Also I used smali/baksmali 1.3.2. These tools have bugs as any other software of course, so it might come to unexpected side effects.
On top of that:
I understand, many people would like to have slight deviations of this mod, different battery icons, different overscroll glow colours etc. However, I honestly do not have enough time to fulfill all your special requests.
I build this mod only for my personal use basically, so it is like it is.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
If you want to still have different Battery Icons etc, I recommend you to use the UOT kitchen (http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen) with which you can do a lot of additional tweaking yourself.
Just extract the framework-res.apk and SystemUI.apk files out of the Boeffla-Mod zip and load it into kitchen. As soon as the new files are built by kitchen, flash the zip file after Boeffla-Mod and you are there.
Have fun.

Well, go for it, ZaneZam Looking forward to your add-ons again.
I do not know (somehow cannot find my crystal ball currently), but XWJW5 feels quite mature. So could imagine this is really the last official FW for our SGS from Sammy.
At least I will currently base all work on this rom now.

[MOD][23 OCT]Pulldown Notification Torch With Simplistic Battery % Mod [3.57.401.500]

EDIT: I've re-written this entire post because it got a bit messy and I don't think I explained things very well! Plus I messed up and uploaded the file as an APK and not a ZIP!
I've re-wiped my phone completely because I managed to get it into a muddle! I fully flashed ARHD30.0 & InsertCoin 3.0.5 and I was still getting gapps FC messages and apparently it's a known / common thing so I wiped the SD and everything, allowed Sense to have G+ access and now it's playing nice again! This was without even flashing my MOD! So something went squiffy!
Anyway:
This MOD has been tested on InsertCoin 3.0.5 which is based on the 3.57.401.500 ROM so it may work on other ROMs as well but I can't be certain. I did try this on ARHD30.0 and for some reason when I pressed the torch option it didn't work. Nothing seemed to happen. It could be because /system isn't mounted as RW or the flashlight APK is different or there's a file deny permission to the location where it writes the LED brightness to, I'm not sure yet but will see what it is if I get chance. It works fine on InsertCoin 3.0.5.
All you need to do is download the zip, flash it in recovery and then reboot your phone back into Sense 5.5 for the torch icon to appear and work.
When you pull down the notification tab there's a torch icon next to the quick settings button. You can tap this up to 3 times to increase the flash brightness levels. Pressing a 4th time will turn the torch off again.
I preferred this method because it doesn't just call the HTC Torch application, it actually does control the torch on and off.
I usually run ViperOne but I'm waiting for their sense 5.5 update so decided to throw this together as I like a lockscreen torch type thing!
Usual disclaimer applies, I'm not responsible for boot-looping your phone so please flash at your own risk and make a nandroid before you do!
Please remember to thank me if you think this is any good / you use it! I may change the icon / spacing as I'm not 100% sure I like it at the moment.
Cheers,
Nick
EDIT: MD5 Should be 05CB646CB469DCB0141E416B63340F30
I can confirm that the MD5 for SystemUI.apk on InsertCoin 3.0.5 is a match to 3.0.4 so this MOD should work fine on the newest version also. Feedback is appreciated to let me know if it worked alright for you or not!?
Any suggestions or different torch icons / logos are appreciated too if anyone has a better icon to use!

Sorry to hear it didn't work. It must only work on pure Sense 5.5 based ROMs and not AOSP / Hybrid type ones. Thanks for trying and hopefully you have a backup to go back to?
If not you can copy out the SystemUI.apk from your ARHD GE ROM and put it in the zip file from this thread (overwrite mine that's in there) and re-flash and you will have your old one back.
works great, thanks a lot!

Not sure if anyone is bothered for this but I've updated the style shown in the screenshots in this post. I can provide APK's for ROMs with this mod included and I know why it didn't work on ARHD and possibly stock ROMs etc. You need the following to be run in an init.d script:
chmod 666 /sys/class/leds/flashlight/brightness
I knew it was a permission issue somewhere but didn't look into it till it didn't work on Viper so I wanted to fix it!
Anyway, if anyone is interested post here, and I'll see what I can do. If you want it with the ROMs battery percentage or mine then let me know!

If anyone want try this mod with no cyanogenmod inside is really easy ...

2. if you want another image that be background pictures, you can give me a link or upload your image in here and i will work it for you, but for optimized result please give me a potrait images.

No didn't thought of that as such was just going through all your mods and the idea came of getting it to cm13 you know you are so good at mods you can build your own rom.. Like i had ideas of a rom in which we could set custom panel image ourselves like we set wallpaper directly from gallery like that no uploading and then getting it back these features would be loved.... You know many people do not want others to see the images but want that on their notification panel or like that.... So if a automated script that adds an option to set custom panel background like we set wallpaper or a new rom with features like that would be soo damn awesome! I'm sorry for not being so realistic but this idea just came and wanted to tell you

Yeah I know about that, some xposed module have feature like that. If I'm not wrong, name of that apps is XQS background module. You can customize all and that's totally easy. But I make this mod to avoid use from xposed framework, cause some xposed module or xposed framework by itself can make our system work instability. So I make this mod, with you as participant for theme that you all want it.

Yes that's the point xposed causes instability that's why i dont wanna use it or anything else which changes selinux status to permissive.... But do you have any ideas? I mean i just thought and told you so please don't blame me if your exams go bad thanks for your consideration

Ha-ha don't worry about that [emoji1] , that's too hard to include it in our rom to make it survive from nightly update. Cause I mod system ui. I can't make this mod survive from nightly, cause that think can make ROM that installed my mod won't get any update on system ui. And that's too dangerous if our rom have big update on system ui, rom with my mod won't get that fixed. And that's will same too if I insert string on settings. That app will get update too. Maybe I will try to make it avoid if we have stable rom or ROM stable without any update or update but not in nightly, like monthly or yearly. So that's why I'm not make add on protector script that can make my mod is survive from update. Honestly I know that, but I won't
