hi guys. i just bought a new xperia acro HD SO-03D. and it was working correctly in shop. but when i got back home and power on the device, it freezes on xperia logo screen and doesnt boot. can anyone help me reset the device? quick reply plz...
Hold the Power button and Volume UP button for 3-5 seconds. There should be 3 vibrations. That's Hard RESET.
There won't be data loss with this.
And from next time please post questions/help in the Q&A Section.
thank you very much. it reseted and booted successfully. sorry for posting here. was a little bit panicky.

I tried to unlock the bootloader today,I was in the step where you have to press the volume up button and plug the usb. The blue light showed up, but due to some problems i couldn't continue the unlocking process. I disconnected the phone from the PC, but the blue light was still on. I tried turning the phone on, but no response. I tried pressing up+power, no response. I tried connecting to the PC again, nothing. I tried every single thing ,but the phone won't turn on and the light won't go off.
I searched every corner of the internet for an answer but i can't find any. This phone is brand new(i bought just 2 days ago!!!!) and i'm yet to pay for it.... Please help me, i beg you!

I haven't even bothered with unlocking the bootloader yet. I already had one weird hang with a game though.

Hey guys,
I recently installed a new rom but it kept turning off if i take any action so I used Odin and went back to stock unrooted. It was okay for half a day
and it started to shut off randomly as well.
*NOW it's in a constant boot loop. Once I insert the battery it vibrates and turns on by itself and shows the Tmobile logo for a sec and turns off -> vibrate x infite showing black screen
I was told that this could be a "sticky power button, stuck power button" so I opened the housing and used air can, and kinda cleaned and messed around a bit but I dont see how it will fix anything (Suggestions please!) Didn't look like it was sticky or stuck at all @@
I can't get into download / recovery mode because phone just shuts off before I can do anything and vibrates over and over.
Is my phone bricked? or that sticky power button issue? I heard theres not really a simple cure for the stuck power button.... is there?
Does samsung do anything about this even though device is out of warranty? I'm so confused atm >< please share your thoughts and guide me please!

Try holding down the volume up and volume down, then hold down the power button until it vibrates twice then release the power then volume buttons. Not sure if you have tryed this yet but that should boot you into recovery.
I dont think that your phone is bricked. I had the same problem and thought the same thing you have. That maybe it bricked or what not. I tried flashing different roms and that didnt work. I went to a repair shop and I got my power button repairs and I flashed it back to stock 4.1.2 unrooted. It has been working fine for me ever since. You might just need to get yours repaired. Hope this helps.
it's not bricked, this happened to me about a month ago. Your power button is broken most likely and needs to be replaced. I got mine fixed for $40.

Google search is a prerequisite for troubleshooting. Here's a couple links which might help, if it's actually a bad power button.

Hi all,
I am using Arc S on Androoid 4.04
using Lupus v16 kernel and Xperia Ultimate HD Rom.
How to make a screen shot of the phone? I've tried some other Rom which can do it by pressing power button menu.
Thank you.
Please post in the Q&A section next time.
Screenshot can be done with hard keys by pressing power button and vol.down key at the same time. Hold down both keys until your phone takes a screenshot.

Hey Guys.
Today i think my xperia play got fully bricked?
I was playing call of minis: double action, i went to the toilet for a moment and after i took it out my pocket the screen wouldnt turn on. I pressed the power button countless times, removed battery and re-inserted it and i would get vibrate after 1-2 seconds of pressing the power button and after 5 seconds i get another vibrate and blue led for 1 sec only. I had Lupus v8 and Racing FE speed Xplay Rom[4.1.2]. A couple hours ago i tried flashing an official ftf .62, process was successful but now i only get vibrate on "startup" no display no led nothing!
After searching the web i found out that i bricked my device and that its a TA( trim area) issue. Any help as soon as possible would be very appreciated. The question is Can i fix it?
Hi guys,
so I restarted my HTC after it didn't recognize my sim and didn't have mobile internet enabled and after that I saw the HTC powerd by android booting screen and from that it just goes to blackscreen (a little bit brigther than when power is off so I know its on) and the phone heats up like crazy but I can't do anything aynmore. I can't just turn it off the only thing that works is pressing the power button and the volume button up at the same time but then it just reboots and goes to blackscreen again. When the phone is in that "black screen" mode and I connect it to the pc I hear the connection sound from a usb device but the htc one m8 is not recognized ._.
I googled but found nothing, what to do? Is the phone dead?
kindest regards and thanks in advance

Ok I actually found some advice using the search function on the forum .
Pressing volume down while screen is booting got me into hboot and then into the phone. I guess I will safe all my data and do some of the reset stuff that I can find on this forum!
