On stock rom stk was working fine, but after using 13 different custom roms i have came to only one conclusion that no custom rom can complete processing of stk.
Can anyone help me with this?
I have used cm 7.1, 7.2, 9, 10 and even custom stock roms

Download your Stock ROM for your Gio model.
Open the the file you just download with 7zip
Extract csc.rfs to somewhere, like your Desktop
Extract csc.rfs to somewhere using 7zip
Extract the attachment below to somewhere
Copy the extracted system folder from csc.rfs to the csc_flashable directory
zip csc_flashable and flash it.
Try stk...
Thanks man i will try it.

Trying to extract the stock gnex 4.2.1 kernel jop40g from jellyb tsm build17 ROM because I really can't find a zip for it anywhere can anyone help me identify the kernel. Not sure which boot.IMG file it is, there are a few. Thanks

There's only one boot.img inside a recovery-flash-ready ROM zip.

No there's a boot.IMG file by itself not in a folder, then theres a kernel folder with an mkbootimg, mkbootimg.sh, and unpackbootimg
Do I have to extract them all and compress them into one zip or do I just need one of them? I've searched a lot of threads and couldn't find anything that was specific enough to help.

I think I got it

mkbootimg/mkbootimg.sh and unpackbootimg are there most likely to unpack your current ramdisk
hi guys,
Is there a way to extract 2 files out of a samfirmware stock rom?
I need the framework-res.apk and the camera.apk
I want to see if I am able to change the setting in the app the denies the camera option when battery is below 15%. I want to change it to 5%.
Besides that, I have had no other reason to switch to a custom rom so if can fix this, I can use my stock rom again.
or, if someone is willing to help me with this... I can deliver a link of the stock rom zip...

Just wanted to share my flashable zip witch I used to flash kernels for my XMD,
Just rename the kernel u want to flash to boot.img and put it in the root of the zip and ur flashable zip is ready.
It's handy if u want to test kernels without PC.
Its tested with XM dual,
If u want to check if its workung for XM single just use root explorer and head to dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name and look for boot
If boot is shortcut to mmcblk0p17 then it will work
If not change the updater-script in the zip with the right one
See the attached pic
Enjoy.

It's better if you use kernel partition than boot partition
And you can use this script with all Xperia 2013:
package_extract_file("boot.img", "/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/Kernel");
It's better & safer this way

No, the Xperia M don't have a "kernel" partition and the boot image is stored in the boot partition.
Not every Xperia devices are the same.
