Hey guys is there a way to create an ftf file of the OS in my phone ? I want to make the ftf of the xperia ultimate hd with all the mods that i've flashed in it...!! i have googled my question but all i get is how to make an ftf of the stock firmware using SUS (Sony Update Service)
Phone: Xperia Arc S (Lt18i)
No you cannot because ftfs can only be made by Sony for stock firmware.

tangosierra_ is correct.
The closest thing you could do is to create a full system backup using CWM and keep a copy of it somewhere else in addition to the SD Card just in case. It worked fine for me.

Hi guys!
Fist of all, I'm so sorry about my poor english, I'm from Brasil and you know, thats not my native language
My friends, my uncle come from Japan and give me a Acro SO-02C, I already have a Arc, so I just try to flash the Acro with Arc firmware (ICS Stock), but the phone just get infinity boot loop. I can't enter fastboot mod, Its just like the phone dont ir recognize the drivers, I try many tutorials, in english and portuguese, but I can't. My question is: Will some FW work normal on my Acro? I need to unlock bootloader in order do flash my phone? What can I do?
Thanks in advice.
Firstly, you should not flash arc firmware on acro.
You can use SEUS(for locked bootloader on stock firmware and kernel) to flash your acro with the latest firmware available for acro.
If you have the ftf file for acro, you can flash via flashtool (need unlocked bootloader)

SEUS will work now that I have flashed my Acro with Arc fw?
I can't find any ftf from Acro =/ btw, Idk how to unlock Acro bootloader anyway.
You might have to take it to a service centre, and use this as a valuable lesson, don't flash things that aren't for your device, especially when there's NO FW to be found for it on xda.
well you can probably use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1606748

As long as you connect your phone to pc, SEUS can detect it. You just need to choose acro as your phone type and let seus do its thing

Flash stock ftf for arc s via flashtool or if you are on unlocked bootloader then flash any arc s kernel via fastboot

I did the same thing and my Xperia just sat on the SONY screen, I had to run the 'repair' through the Sony Companion, got it working again!
You are welcome...
ps. Don't forget to hit 'thanks'.

I think flashing the stock ftf with the flashtool is the way to go my friend, good luck.

reflash stock .587 ftf file with flashtool.. then all should be fine...
Or you could just flash the stock kernel...

just pull the battery....grab another kernel which is right for your rom and device and flash that one normally.
AW: [Q] Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S flashed with wrong kernel
Take off battery, wait a few seconds, reinsert battery, connect in fastboot mode and flash a kernel for your device. You won't loose data (you would by flashing stock rom)

Getting your Phone back to a factory state DOES NOT require you to be rooted or have an unlocked bootloader, the thing that's lacking here is reading, and persistence. You need to figure out getting PC Companion, SEUS, or the Flashtool (Official and un-Official) to work, so as you know what to do, it's over to you to do it, and if it's not working then you're obviously doing something wrong.
i personally prefer flashtool. simple to use and doesnt require root or unlocked bootloader if you're flashing stock ftf.

Download Sony Mobile Update Service, follow the instructions to repair your phone's firmware.
I didn't like my T2 ultra until 5.1.1 (19.4.A.0.182) stock rom came along...it gave the buggy phone a new lease.
I like to root it via flashtoo ftf file. Does anyone has one to share? Also pls advise the steps...do I need to unlock bootloader first? Do I need to install recovery?
I wanted to root to remove bloatwares and use app2sd to install apps.
By the way Xperia Z already has a pre-rooted stock rom ftf.
Thanks!
