Hello guys. I have problem with this light at bottom of screen, for long as I have my phone (cca 1 year). Sometimes it's seems to getting worst. Is this only at my advice, or this is global problem on Xperia S? Is there any solution for fix it? For which reason there is white line at bottom of screen? Thanx you all for every reply.
It is not something new... It is like that on most phones.. Even my Nokia has it.. It is a LCD fault. Due to lights in the edges

Hello,
I was using my phone when he just crashed, after that my notification led doesn't work at all (charge, flashmode or fastboot), the backlight doesn't work at all too, the phone is laggy, sometime he vibes, shutdown & in the top it indicate that battery is 0% ?!
I tried much things but it still doesn't work...
If someone could help it'll be really nice.
Thanks
do you use custom rom and kernel?
if you do, just re-flash the kernel and re-install the rom, don't forget to do full wipe
and if you use original firmware (you never done anything to your phone), you can fix it using sony update service which you can find it here
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/tools/update-service/
do what it says you to do
hope it'll help
But, I allready did all that you said, but it still the same. I think it's an hardware issue of the motherboard but how to repair that ?

At this point probably better to buy a replacement. I can get a used in nice condition AT&T xperia play for about $140 on eBay.
Even after you FTF it still has the issue?
Looks like system uid inconsistent error.

So mine isn't the only one that vibrates if you stress it out too much? Hm.
And yeah, I would restore it to stock, then remove all bloatware. If it's a hardware issue, go buy a Galaxy Nexus.

If my phone was broke, I'd go with a Galaxy Nexus in a heartbeat. Sure, we have buttons, but honestly, I just don't see the support from that many people. If this was as popular as the Xoom, GNexus, or Razr, all of our bootloaders would be unlocked. But they just don't wanna put in the time and effort.
Hi,
my HOX fell down this night two times.
This morning i wanted to take a picture, but my Cam doesnt work??
When I want to open the Cam App the Cam Window appears but its black.
The Mirror doesnt work neither.
Is this a Hardware or a Software Issue?
My Phone is flashed

I think if you dropped it and didn't do anything to it software wise its very probably a hardware issue

Reflash it to make sure it isn't a hardware failure.
If it still won't work then, the hardware is dead

The warranty does not cover excessive physical abuse. Usually whenever you buy anything, accidental damage is not covered, which is why you can buy insurance.
Same thing happened to me after the 4.0.4 update ( black screen no camera or mirror ) , after few restart it's started working again .
Same problem here cam stopped work for unknown reason haven't droped the phone added new software or anythink like that.
Worked one day and next day it doesn't
HTC will tell you to try and clear the cache
Earlier this year Sony has acknowledged that there is a yellow tint issue on their Xperia S line. They're also replacing affected phones. I'm wondering, how can I tell if my phone is affected before making a purchase? Is there a certain model or serial number I should look for that's free of this issue? Is there a manufacturing date that indicates the devices have been fixed and replaced by Sony?
Can't speak for the s but got a replacement ion from att mine was having serious overheating problems 115 124 degrees 100 doing nothing anyhoo got a replacement sent out received it and at fist thought my bad eyes was playing tricks in me but after having several friends look at it and having one to compare it to it was positive for pissy yellow screen

When the phone heats (more than 42°C ) , a slightly yellow tint occurs in the top right of the display of the phone ... if so, then ur phone has that issue

And it isn't always on the top right. Mine is around the App Drawer icon on the Xperia Launcher.
It can happen at lower temperature also ... if u really find a yellow tint, u should go for the nearest care centre and get it replaced.

If you have warranty on your phone, then you can just replace your phone by this similar (call to the Sony support about your wishes) or repaired.
In other situations you don't have other ways to repair or get same but newer.
My phone is out of warranty the warranty expirwd on 10/04/2013 so great.....
But if anybody has a good supplier for parts of this phone, then let me know... I can replace, but it is about 100$...

Hi guys ive searched but couldnt find the answer for my problem. And some suggestions didnt work for me.
I sent in my xperia s for a warranty repair. Instead they sent me a replacement. However when in a call with noise supression on no one can hear me. With that option off people can hear me but very low. Ive tried factory reset and tried repairing with sus. Still the same issue. What can I try next? My warranty finishes in a couple of weeks. My firmware is .45
Funnily enough they also did not send the same usb cable that I sent. Instead I got one which looks like its been used since x10 days.

Where can I get a new mic from? If I assume correctly its on the same panel as the vibration motor? I think I shall send it back first before warranty expires
