Okay I messed up and I'm stuck on boot! - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

I rooted my s3 using the toolkit and installed TWRP recovery, and downloaded "The Devil's Reject " rom and followed the basic instructions via recovery (wipe). When I reboot i get stuck on the samsung logo. I have checked he md5 and they match perfect and have tried flashing the rom again and still stuck on logo. Am I missing something? Of course I forgot to do a nandroid backup

Back into recovery, factory reset-wipe cache- wipe system. Then install Rom again.

This is the third time I try this and I'm still stuck on boot, the rom install successfully but when I reboot I get stuck on galaxy screen.

Are you giving it enough time? First boot can take up to 15 minutes sometimes.

Okay maybe im not giving it enough time, be back in 15 mins

I am using TWRP and I just installed a stock rom and it loaded right up? Why cant I install this rom? Do i need to flash a specific kernel or something? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2034844)

Try flashing v6, then flash v7. I'm just guessing at this point.

[Q] a whole mess of problems..

Ok, so..my Girlfriend tried to root the phone herself and i think something went wrong...actually i know something went wrong..when i load up the Bootloader it gives me a few NO IMAGE found things on the SD card....but the real issue arises when i try to load a ROM onto the phone it will function for like 5 maybe 6 mintues then restart.
I tried to restore the phone to before roms were attempted to be installed on it, and the phone just hangs on the HTC screen and doesn't move.
I've tried installing Different Kernels using the whole fastboot flash boot boot.img method and none of the kernels i install seem to help..
I'm not 100% familiar with this phone since i myself use a S2 Skyrocket..
So my real question is..is there any way to get this phone back to square one so i can reinstall HBoot or whatever its called, or is there a way from where i'm at to stop this phone from constantly rebooting itself?
i don't think because there is no way to reinstall Hboot , only it can be done by HTC service centre but i will advice you to root it again from beginning , if your bootloader is already unlocked then try to root HOV , and after rooting i will suggest you to use PA rom with cm10 hellboy kernel
The no image thing is normal.not to worry.
Which Rom did you try to install?
Edit:is the phone gsm or cdma?

I was trying to install that one "Pacman"
It gets about to the point where she would enter her information for account sync and then it would just reboot.
and the phone is CDMA through Virgin Mobile
And about the CM10 thing, i was reading that CM10 doesn't work with the camera, and she needs the camera for work to send pics to her other managers
Ok,your phone is completely normal.
Now,do this in order
Put Rom and gapps in sdcard
Put the kernel in fastboot/platform-tools folder
Boot into bootloader and select fastboot.
flash kernel using the command you described in OP
Enter recovery.do a full wipe,i.e,factory reset,wipe cache,wipe.dalvik cache.also,go into mounts and storage and format every partition,except sdcard.
Then flash the Rom.zip, boot into Rom and then again into recovery and flash gapps.

Ok doing that now, Do i format the/sd-ext? or just leave that alone with the sdcard
sd-ext format isn't supported so you may as well leave it.and, use the boot.img inside the zip, that is the supersick kernel.

Boot into Rom,wait for 5mins and then flash gapps.

Did you download and flash the gsm rom by mistake?
Are you using the proper command to flash the boot.img?i.e,
fastboot flash boot boot.img

i grabbed it right off that link i posted earlier..I'll try Redownloading the ROM and then starting over again..maybe something happened in the download process or the transfer process..heh i'm not going to bed till i fix this issue lol since the phone for her right now is virtually unusable
You said in OP that you have a backup right?restore it first.and flash the boot.img found inside the backup.
Let's see what happens.it should boot normal.

That was an issue, i tried to restore the backup but it hangs at the HTC screen shortly after the Virgin Mobile and doesn't move..ever i let it sit for a long while and nothing happend
You have to flash the kernel first!only then will it boot.
Go into fastboot, flash the kernel found inside the backup and then restore it.

Flashing Stock Rom Stuck at Boot Screen

Hey guys,
So I've been trying to get back to a stock rom because I am trying to sell my phone now, but everytime I flash a firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1949687 using Odin, it gets stuck at boot screen no matter which one i flash even if it's pre-rooted or not. So is there any other way to flash stock rom without Odin or is there something I am doing wrong that is getting me stuck on this boot screen?
Thanks.
enter recovery mode and wipe data / factory reset.

I've tried that multiple times and make sure to do it everytime before reflashing the stock firmware, but everytime is still no good for some reason.

Before you tried using Odin to flash the stock or stock rooted firmware which
custom rom did you flash, and was the custom rom you flashed working properly
before you tried to flash back to stock or stock rooted?
Okay well after flashing this over so many times, the stock rom finally went through. Not sure what was holding it up, but no need to help anymore guys. Thanks.

Go to stock recovery by pressing volume up and power until it says booting recovery in blue letters at the top of the screen.
Wipe cache, then wipe/format data 3x or 4x and then try reflashing the stock rom.
Stock Rom provided by Jamison Download Here
Odin zip with All Versions provided by Jamison Download Here
Thank you Jamison and thank you to the one who said to wipe data/format, that was the right answer!!!
You are supposed to do it before you flash using Odin, DOH! :silly:
How long did the first boot take because ive done wipe data and stuff before and after and still stuck on logo screen
Booting can take up to 15 minutes after wiping data and cache.
If the phone still won't boot to the ROM, flash a stock ROM via Odin and perform a factory wipe using stock recovery before booting the ROM for the firs time.

Ya everytime but one
This has happened to me before, from memory, you can just factory reset in cwm after you flash the custom rom. It'll stop it from hanging at the boot.

I removed the battery and I rebooted into recovery, full wipe, flash retried this time it went a bit further but it was locked again. Removed the battery and restarted the phone, the recoverynon me access to the external SD, after several attempts I managed to get the menu of the backup-restore, see the file, begins recovery and crashes, I remove the battery and restart again, but not now goes into recovery.

If the phone freezes after Aroma installer starts it is probably a bug with recovery. Try flashing older version of Philz (v5.x).

I can not seem to go into recovery, then I tried to flash with odin an old version of phliz, now came into recovery, I'm trying to restore the old ROM but locks control md5 sums
possible that there is a file restore damaged?
I solved it with the flash from odin of Philz, full wipe then install new rom, I flashed the DN3.1 and all ok!
Thank you all for the help!
And season's greetings!

[Q] Nexus 7 LTE Flashed wrong ROM

I tried lurking around the forum but couldn't find anything related so ...
here goes ....
I've a bricked Nexus (deb) at hand I believe the owner flashed wrong firmware/ROM its now stuck at boot animation...
I've tried formatting via TWRP...
successfully flashed LP firmware via flash-all.bat
tried wiping data & cache partition on stock recovery ...
its just wont complete booting. I've charged it full and let it stuck at the boot animation until the battery ran out...
does it make any difference if I flash an earlier version firmwares?
or do I have to manually flash every component of it?
I've ran out of ideas, may someone help? I'm so confused
[SOLVED]
flash latest TWRP
reboob recovery
send customROM.zip to internal storage...
flash ROM.zip
reboob system
no one?? ... can someone, anyone, tell me either can it be helped? or can't it? does it means its hardware related issue? ...
hmm search for a recovery, then flash it. once successful, try flashing a compatible rom
Id try using fastboot to flash each partition manually. Make sure you're on the right bootloader/radio.
@williamcunananjr do you mean a custom ROM? Haven't try that
@yosmokinman I'll try using the files in the stock image
