Hey,
I thought that the basic feature of storing call duration (and making it available) was lost with CM7 and on CM7 based ROMs like MildWild, but hopefully I was wrong. Unfortunately, I doesn't seem like I can access this information. According to a few posts you can see the call duration when you tap on a particular call in the call log. This is what I see when I tap on a call:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
It's supposed to show the call duration "on top" but I don't see it anywhere. I must be blind.
Can anyone tell me if you see the call duration?
That's a known issue and I think it was already reported in the thread.
Try a different dialer like dialerex from play store.

I see. Thanks for the reply. I tried exDialer and it seems pretty cool - just as fast and smooth.

This is going to seem like a dumb question, but it's been killing me and I just have to know. I've tried searching around for the answer but haven't been able to formulate the proper search terms to find anything.
Anyway, what is that compass-shaped icon in the notification bar when you are running Sense? No non-Sense builds seem to have it. I've circled it in this image:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Thanks in advance for satisfying my curiosity.
Location services status.
You could have found out what it is in the EVOs manual.

Its in your settings. right below accounts and sync. You gotta put time into your phone bro.

Damn, I went through the manual before posting and missed it. Sorry. Well, thanks for the answers guys.
Is there a way to hide that icon? I really already know if its on or off because what I set it at I don't need to see it every time I read the top bar of my phone.
Is there a way to disable the showing of avatars?
A few people have somewhat provocative pictures and I come to this site multiple times a day from work.
I'm not a prude, the images don't bother me personally and I'm not requesting anyone change their picture but in my work environment I'd like to be able to turn them off. Is that possible?
In tapatalk 2 there is an option in settings for it.

You can turn off pictures in your browser but that's all pictures. If you use Firefox you can download an ad-blocker and specify the pic as an ad. Other than that I don't know of any options.
Thank you both for your suggestions. I'll give them a try.
Go to the user cp and then edit options. You'll find a section called thread display options and avatars are an option there.

Has to be talkin about Isaint.. Lol.
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Ever since updating Google Maps to the new version with the new UI, compass orientation is always wacky while in 3D mode. See the screenshot below to see what I mean:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This is what it looked like immediately after tapping the location button twice. Even worse, the map doesn't even pan in the direction the dot is facing half the time, but instead moves in the opposite direction.
This doesn't seem to be a problem while in navigation mode, but it is nonetheless annoying.
Apologize if someone already posted about this but I couldn't find one. I've only tested on Rootbox, but I've used many ROMs in the past and in my experience that has never made a difference.

Yep you are correct, mine has been the same. For example completing a whole roundabout before we even get there. Moving to a field even though we're on a marked road. Moving sideways whilst driving forward. Very weird!

The new Moto X is said to have contextually aware abilities so you can say 'okay google' anytime and it will listen to what you say. It would be similar to Google Glass.
I was wondering if it would be possible to get something like this for the S3?
Isn't that Google now? Which our devices already have? That's the command phrase.

Yes, but with this you don't have to even touch the phone to activate Google now.

We have this, as long as you're inside Google search

. Take note of the only option with the check... Don't know if anybody would want the battery drain associated with your phone constantly listening every time your screen is on so honestly I don't see anybody putting any effort into this...
Hm I wonder if having it always listening is going to drain the battery on the Moto X.
It depends how they implement it...if it's like wifi connections with the constant polling, then yes.

Hello all,
I've search around the internet for this but have yet to find anything, I have the T-Mobile SGN3 (hopefully like most everyone else on this particular board). I'm right now on 4.4.2, I am on the Wicked ROM and not the stock rom (although I have tried on the Stock ROM also and not seen this)
The feature that I'm looking for is the Call Notification Window, as seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ejdTRrzX_Zk
For the life of me I can't find anything on this other than "it should be there"
I found some script mods you can do for the S4 to enable it but I don't know why the option is not available in the T-Mobile device.
Hopefully someone out there has seen this and has experience.
Thank you!
