Is there a way to disable the showing of avatars?
A few people have somewhat provocative pictures and I come to this site multiple times a day from work.
I'm not a prude, the images don't bother me personally and I'm not requesting anyone change their picture but in my work environment I'd like to be able to turn them off. Is that possible?
In tapatalk 2 there is an option in settings for it.

You can turn off pictures in your browser but that's all pictures. If you use Firefox you can download an ad-blocker and specify the pic as an ad. Other than that I don't know of any options.
Thank you both for your suggestions. I'll give them a try.
Go to the user cp and then edit options. You'll find a section called thread display options and avatars are an option there.

This is going to seem like a dumb question, but it's been killing me and I just have to know. I've tried searching around for the answer but haven't been able to formulate the proper search terms to find anything.
Anyway, what is that compass-shaped icon in the notification bar when you are running Sense? No non-Sense builds seem to have it. I've circled it in this image:

Damn, I went through the manual before posting and missed it. Sorry. Well, thanks for the answers guys.
Is there a way to hide that icon? I really already know if its on or off because what I set it at I don't need to see it every time I read the top bar of my phone.

So I gather AT&T never gave us the choice of the group shot photo eh? Is there any way to get it other than a custom rom? How about a blocking mode toggle?
If I had these two things, I would be set :victory:
What is group picture?

I'm not sure what you're talking about, what's going on with your phone, or even if I'm positive about the features you claim are missing. But if you're talking about "Best Faces" (there's no featured called "Group Shot") where you can take a photo of a group of people and select the best face for each of them... I have that feature and blocking mode on my 100% stock AT&T Note II, and have had both since day one. Here's a screenshot of both...
EDIT: You didn't mention you didn't have blocking mode... you mentioned you wanted a "toggle." Is it really so hard to open up your notifications drop-down list and just turn on/off the feature from there? That would take the same amount of time it would searching for a toggle to do the same thing.

On previous phones including the S5 you could just change the build.prop or use gravity box to add on screen Nav keys... but every time I try with the N4, when I reboot I'll get system UI crashing non stop until I undo my changes.
Has anyone gotten them somehow?
I'm just a big soft keys fan
I made a similar thread asking the same thing. Haven't figured it out yet.

Only thing I find useful is the hiboard. The rest I'd like gone. Especially any ties to hicloud. I think hicloud, might actually be what's causing my work WiFi log in problem. It comes up in the address for some reason.

It wouldn't let me add the image in the original post

Google works best. But. You'll need ADB and knowledge of how to uninstall via adb. Unless your rooted, then it's much easier.
There is a spread sheet to go off, to remove "hi" stuff.
