Can anyone tell how to enable the upnp client on Walkman player ?
Had tried various ROM such as Viper, True Smooth, Ultimate HD, Xperia T ICS, Racing Bean, JJ's HYBRID...
By using the Walkman player, I could play music streamed from my local dlna server on some ROM but most not !?
Is it a walkman apk dependent or else !?

Proly a noob question but is there any chance of using the Xperia music app for Google music?
If this isn't possible are there any ways to stream music through the Xperia app, be it Box, Grooveshark, Dropbox or any others...
I found interesting app in sony xperia s themes and apps. It's walkman music player. I tested it on sgs2 ics vk rom and it's works great (except music effects). You can found this app here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1676013 Just install SemcMusic.apk as normal app.

Could anyone suggest me any good music player for MIUI (ICS) rom (2.9.14)? Is it possible to have sony's walkman app on this rom as well?

Walkman fully works on stock based ROMS..
It will work on your MIUI ROM but with some limitations.. Like the sound enhancements won't work and neither will the widget!
Try some players from the play store.. I use Player Pro and it is really good!
And other good options are Power amp and n7 player..

Hi, I need some help with an issue I've been suffering for a while.
My phone: Sony Xperia S, unlocked bootloader. ROM: Trinity Vengeance RaptorXL V3.4 T-Core Kernel.
The problem appears with the original Sony ROM and every 4.1 ROM Based on the original ROM that has walkman app.
I can stream music with my phone to the car radio (A2DP) using walkman app. No problem (except the bad sound quality that app has)
Well, When I try to stream from another app (like poweramp) it doesn't work. The player is working a playing music but nothing sounds and the LCD of the stereo shows "Searching.."
The only way to make it work is:
While Power amp is playing music I start walkman app and push play, I listen to music from wakman app on the car and poweramp pauses, then I pause walkman app, music stops, and LCD of the stereo shows "BT Pause". Then I push play on poweramp and music is playing on the car, and LCD still shows "BT Pause".
I think something is wrong with Walkman app and how sony use de android API.
This problem is solved when I use 4.2 custom ROMS, but camera driver doesn't work very well.
