[Q] My device does not read any sim.

Since i putted an app named PimpMyRom which needs root access and i activated the 3g improval signal my phone does not read any sim if it is a CID problem i'm from greece if anyone can help me that will be nice.

I had the same problem.
Flash the rescue package created in beginning of pimping. If that doesn't work re-install your ROM.

Full wipe along with reflashing ROM fixes it. Also check GetRIL from Store.

how is possible to reflash with fixes?

I meant that reflashing rom and full wipe fixes the problem. If it doesn't work you're doing something wrong.

what wrong really i putted before 5 mins new rom with perfom full wipe but the problem still there.

Did you try getril a couple of posts back.

i updated my phone a week ago.
first, i used CM10.1 by arco
then i got error that i can's send or receive any message
i tried to reboot my phone,and everything go back to normal.
but after sometime,the problem reappear..
i tried to flash using another rom (CM10 final)
but the problem is still appear.
please help.

when i installed the rom.,
it's APN setting is set automatically..
and it's the same APN with my sister's APN setting (we use same operator)
i think that the SMSC is the problem.,
bcause when i rebooted my phone,i refresh the SMSC and it shows the right number..
but when the problem is there,refresh button gives me an error.

I didn't change anything after installing the rom.
everything is pure,untouched.
actually i tried to install another sms app like Go SMS Pro,
try to customize the SMSC on it's setting.
and it gave me nothing.

i suggest you try to re install the rom, pristine installation.

well,i already tried 3 different rom based on 4.1.2, 4.2.2 and right now im using 4.3
all these rom give me the exact same problem.
i really don't know what to do.

it's very unusual that those you've tried got the same issue. what is your baseband and ur country?

im from indonesia
my baseband is l8150DXLM2
yeah,it's really frustrating..
i have to reboot my phone everyday and everytime this problem happens.

EDIT : i just read about baseband,should i upgrade my baseband?
if yes,which version should i pick?

look for ur baseband HERE i think someone extracted a baseband for indonesia there. or u can extract your own baseband so you don't need to flash a stockrom again. just read the thread.

wew, try my baseband DXKL1
flash it with cwm, or you can search the correct apn setting from your provider and edit manually

there's an error with my sim card or something...
so after i changed it to another new sim card.,
it works!

D850 AT&T 3G not working?

I got a rooted G3 D850 from a guy, and flashed Cloudy 2.2. 3G is not working when I select WCDMA from network mode even all the APN setting s are correct. As soon as I select WCDMA, the mobile signals disappear. I had D850 in past and never had this issue over cloudy or any ROMs. What might be the issue, maybe some messed with hidden menu (3845) settings?

Check your EFS data.
IMEI # should not read 0
NV data could also be corrupt.
In that case you have to research how to get it back to normal or pay a shop to repair it back for you.
Back to stock .tot or .kdz flash wont fix this problem.
Neither will a factory reset.
Always backup your EFS data especially when your phone is healthy and everything's working normally!

Actually I was not expecting that the values would be affected by using the hidden menu to fix my network to LTE only. I later changed it to sort of GLOBAL (GSM/WCDMA/LTE) but that didnot fix it.
I then backup my EFS and tinkered with hidden menu and i was successful in bringing back LTE, however, I am stuck with no 3g. I guess I will need to work with QPST and QXDM now. I am now making a second backup with EFS tool.
I just thought it wouldnot go too far that I will need to JTAG it.
Imei is fine. Just need to see NV values and would update!
UPDATE :
Strangely all the NV values are right. I restored my EFS to old state (I have two backups). The LTE is gone again. (this was immediately after LTE and 3g were gone) while flashing other EFS does enable back LTE. So it is all in the hidden menu!
I tinkered with LTE again in hidden menu and it is working again.

2. select all partitions
3. Select 3 partitions
backup modem, modemst1 and modemst2 and upload it for me so I can try to restore the settings to see if that works.
You will need root and busybox installed.

Took me a week with my G2 trying to figure it out since most of the guides didn't fix my problem 100%
It would fix then 3 minutes later I'd lose 3G & 4G again
I had to find a QCN file load that and then work with both QPST and EFS Pro to get it working.
Needed all #s to correct it.
Mine finally fixed when the MEID was corrected as well.
That was weird bc I dont ever remember changing it the first
Place!

It was for my G2.
It's a different phone.
Google gsmforums lg g3 qcn and see if you can find the qcn file that way.
Thats how I found the one for my G2

Thanks alot for guiding me in the right direction. Restoring QPN file really helped via QPST > Software Download Mode > Restore QPN.
However, the qcn file you mentioned is for another device!
QCN file must be device specific.

Looking for a little help...... I have a rogers lg g3 and I was told it was on lollipop.. Now my problem is that I can't access the (settings/about phone) without it telling me (unfortunately settings has stopped working) my question is has anyone had this problem and is it possible to fix it? A factory reset usually fixes those sorts of problems.

That's what I thought as well so I did a factory reset and a hard reset with the same outcome... Everything in the settings can be accessed except the (about phone) so I'm completely lost on what to do

I think it's best you send it back to where you got it then and let them have a look. Otherwise you could try flashing your original firmware again incase your current one has missing components.

Send it it back is definitely not going to happen cause I've tried that lol... But to flash the firmware wouldn't I need USB debugging checked? I hope not cause i can't get to it and is there any tutorials that could give me a step by step instructions?

Sony Xperia T3 stuck at provider logo what to do?

Hello,
I have question about my phone which can't boot futher provider logo and it cant go to recovery mod (when i try it vibrates couple of times and phone just restarts). The phone has non-removable back side so i can't remove battery.
Please help.

you can connect wifi and go to setting to update the apn setting
