I recently flashed CM10.1 on my ATT Galaxy Note II and like a moron attempted to flash a different kernel. I just need someone to direct me to where I can get a COMPATIBLE kernel for my device on CM10.1 the stock 10.1 kernel or any others that are better or will work etc. Thanks.
Either reflash the rom, or find a kernel in the original development section that says it's for an aosp rom, not a touch wiz rom!

Is it possible to, or should I flash a different Kernel onto a custom ROM? Will it break my phone? I wanted to check out the JB Camera in the SSGSII Themes and Apps forum. But it says you have to have a CM10 kernel. I am running Darkside evolution v8. I am not all up to speed on how kernels work or how they relate as far as compatability issue. Thanks for the help and feedback !
Yes you can.but make sure the kernel is for TW ROM.
Ps.i have tried couples different kernels and the darkside v3 is the best one.(my opinion)

How can I get my stock kernel back? Or does flashing a ROM change the kernel? I don't really understand kernels yet in terms of compatibility, and such. I just don't want to brick my phone, so I'm making sure I do it right.
Roms usually involve a kernel already built in, check the OP description.
For example if you are on cm10 and flash the ktoonsez aosp kernel, then later flash a nightlie build, the kernel will be overwritten with the one built in cm10. You have to reflash the ktoonsez again afterwards if you want to use it.
So if you want stock kernel, flash a stock ROM with built in stock kernel.

Make sure the kernel you flash is sourced from the same source as your ROM, ie any TouchWiz LG8 ROM needs to have an LG8-sourced kernel - custom or stock.

Have done my fair share of searching and have not found results so wanted to ask the masses.
Coming from the Rogers version of the skyrocket I got use to the transparent lockscreens included in most stock based touch wiz roms.
I haven't been able to find a 4.1.1 touch wiz stock based Rom for the i747 that has this function or a flashable mod for the VLDLK4 firmware or the AT&T firmware.
I have tried AOKP, CM10 roms but prefer the Samsung suite of apps (calculator, dialer with sms button instead of vvm, ...) so prefer to stay with touch wiz until a milestone build of CM10.1 is released.
I am running rooted stock Rogers (VLDLK4) 4.1.1 with 23 toggle add-on (thanks David Dee).
I am not a developer so hoping to get a little help from the community.
Thanks in advance.

Nope. We don't have that.

Maybe a silly question, but if I have a stock ROM, rooted, unlocked and CWM installed, can I flash a Custom Kernel?
I am specially interested in using:
[KERNEL] [TUNA] [3.0.72+][4.2.2] [EXP: DIAMOND v070 - STABLE: RUBIK v3] [09/04] AK
Yes, im running stock with that kernel right now.

Hello,
I'm searching for a new ROM, so which ROM do you use?
I'm now on Ditto Note 3 v3.2.1
I use 4.4.2 Unofficial CM11-Linaro
Currently using miui with spen features.
I would like to use som stock based 4.3, but they don't support all apps in multiwindow (I know I can use xposed, but it makes the phone laggy).

Android Revolution HD and Hurricane... both are not laggy at all.... but for more stock experience Revolution.

I've tried 3 different Roms on my note 2 and I switch back and forth between AOSB & jellykat . AOSB is based on 4.4.2 CM 11 while jellykat is based on 4.3 TW ( note 3 mods)along with the developer's power box tool makes it an awesome ROM
