Change the screen timeout time in the Display Section of the Settings Menu, if NXT has that.
Thanks, it helps...but does everybody know what the problem is?

Sounds like your kernel is panicing you might try and reinstall the software

I have similar GPS problems like you after up-grade to ver 2.3.4! What's rom version of yours X'Play?
gps.conf is a file you can use fasterfix app from market to change default gps satellite try it requires root
I believe system/etc/gps.conf (don't quote me)

Or you can get Handcent sms. It has a popup option, where you can answer a text without even leaving your current app. Here's a link:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.handcent.nextsms&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDMsImNvbS5oYW5kY2VudC5uZXh0c21zIl0.
thank you very much guys for your answers. i tried handcent sms time ago but i like much more the native sms app of my play. so i was searching something different. what can i do with an ics rom? can i open 2 different apps without close one of them?

Hold down the home button. Everything stays running in the background
Sent from my Xperia Play using xda premium
when you quit an app by pressing the home button, android keeps it in memory. when your phone runs our of RAM, it automatically kills off tasks starting with the oldest ones according to your out of memory groupings. If you open two apps after each other they should stay in memory. try using the v6 supercharger script for better multitasking

Flash stock firmware, if it's still not working, then it's hardware's fault...

I think that bakisha and crazymonkey05 are right... If it happens no matter what Rom or firmware your on its definitely a hardware issue.
I'm sure it is because recently I did a restore to a ROM I know the FFC was working but now camera app always crashes and there is no way I can fix it clearing cache delvik factory reset do nothing so yea probably hardware fault.....are these cameras easy to replace and if so can they be upgraded

Hi. I own a Sony xperia as. I was on cm 10.1 RC2 and decided to flash 4.1 stock ftf using flashtool. After many failed attempts I flash yakundu's stock zipaligned and rooted ROM after wiping. But I got the boot animation followed by exclamation mark in a triangle.
Luckily the recovery was still accessible so I reflashed cm 10.1 rc 2.
After this I tried several other 4.1 ROMs like trinity etc but the same thing happens again and again.
Any idea how I can go back to 4.1?
Thanks!
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
what are you wiping before flashing?

if the triangle has a blue bar and your screen goes dim
also is the triangle grey
leave it, it is supose to do that

I've switches from 4.2 to 4.1 before why is this happening only now ?
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
its a repair process that checks and fixes anything wrong
flash stock 96 firmware and leave it be
Sent from my Xperia S using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Flashed and waited. The phone just switched off.
Meanwhile tried flashing 10.2 alpha 1 and had no problems.
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
Hmm
Well do you have any mounting issues on a stock 96 kernel
Sent from my Xperia S using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
No i was able to mount/unmount system data etc while on doomkernel v6
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
Did it boot after it turned off
And what did you do when you first saw it
Sent from my Xperia S using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Not by itself. I had to do it.
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
When I first saw it I turned the phone off immediately then booted it again and heaved a sigh of relief when I confirmed that the recovery was working.
Sent from my Xperia S using xda app-developers app
Well charge your battey , load a stock kernel and leave it , and if your lucky you may get it to boot
It is part of the kernel, and must not be disturbed otherwise it may result in a hard brick
Or so rumoured
Sent from my Xperia S using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Will look into it

I first had the same exclamation mark when I flashed back the stock .96 rom, and now having it every time I reboot the phone. As well as phone is ok, I started ignoring it.

Guys, I know what he's talking about. He's not talking about the wrench and spanner logo with the bar at the bottom. It's a different image by itself, which just has an exclamation mark with the phone lying under it. Like the dead Android when your flashing goes wrong. Except, all the flashing was successful, it booted through the kernel, but was unable to boot into system. That's what I think is happening. I tried mounting and unmounting and re mounting his system, but nothing worked. In the recovery, flashing is successful, but it's unable to boot into the system.

I don't
The poster is my friend and I saw it first hand. I wanted to clarify that it wasn't the flashing logo, and hoped to find a solution from you guys. Gonna try flash tool and see what happens, though.
