Hey guys!
I'm interested in changing the rom inside my phone, but I don't know what rom is the best. Wich one would you recommend me? I'm interest in those in my subject but if there is something better, please let me know!
Thanks!

Of your in two minds between stock based Darkforest ROM and cyanogen then there's only one solution for you.
Darkforest mix. Its based on cm7 but integrated a lot of stock also, so it's the best of both worlds.
Everything is functional, Bluetooth, touch pads etc and you get the great customization that comes with cm7 (theme chooser as well)

Unless you want fully working touchpad .... If you do you need to stick to stock.

Sorry meant stockbased

This is whats always confused me about the Darkforest MIX it says the touchpads dont work like stock but on all games i've tried they're exactly the same: Shadowgun (flawless), PES, Age of Zombies, N.O.V.A 2 all work exactly as they did in stock.
I know people have said about GTA 3 but i bought it and always found it unplayable so i havent installed it again. buttons were horrible

I hadn't noticed DarkForestRom before...
Are DarkForestRom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1496076) and DarkForestMix (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1482104) distinct ROMs or is one a replacement for the other?
I have been using CM 7.2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128216), but am considering giving CM 9.0 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1447542) a try...
What is not fully functional about the touchpads in CM? I've used them in some games and they seem to work fine, but I haven't played a lot of games/etc, so I'm wondering what's not fully functional? Just want to know what I'm missing out on.
As I understand it, the stock-based ROMs maintain the Playstation certified-access and so can play the Playstation Pocket games as well as the PSXperia stuff?
Whereas with CM, it's not Playstation-certified anymore, so cannot play the Playstation Pocket games or the PSXperia stuff? Is this the case with DarkForest as well?
Posting my questions here, since I'm also interested on the differences between DarkForest and CM, and hope the answers will help the OP.

I'm new to XDA and use the True Ancestor v1.6, but wondered if the Dixperia 2 is better.
In the opnion of you, which one is the best?
What is the difference between the two?
hehehe
Xperia NXT is best, But to choose from those 2, dixperia 2 is way better.

What the NXT has better or different than the other? And in the 3 games which does better?
They're all pretty much the same. Tried each for as a daily driver for a good amount of time.
I switched from NXT to Ancestor and now to Dixperia 2, Dixperia is the first rom (with lupus kernel) wich allows me to play N.o.v.a 3 (+ Tegra plugin on Chainfire) realy smooth, i have OC my CPU to 1,5Ghz but comparing to other 2 roms, dixperia has much more gaming performance in my opinion.
TA is cool, but Dixperia has better performance, you all should install it. But btw, the all ROMs are pretty much same. Only differences like bloatware removed/some of them are not removed, other wallpapers, performance, included apps like Root Explorer etc etc...

Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
I used both, and I think True Ancestor is better, I have tried several roms, I really liked JokaWild, it is very smooth for gaming, but some games does not work now i'm using Xperia NXT 1.2, all the games works good, it is not as smooth as JokaWild but runs really great. This is the best ROM I have tried, but I'm looking for an ICS ROM that runs great for gaming, Markphyton's UnOfficial ICS Test Release Xperia Play 4.0.4 is really ok, it runs smooth for daily use, but some games has lag
true-ancestor is better on my phone
xperia nxt and dixperia 2 run really good for gaming.
For other purposes, TA is slightly better, But i would still prefer Xperia NXT.
Gin2Jelly is best for me
lol, its eyecandy, not for gaming...
Sent from my R800i using xda app-developers app
in my opinion for gaming TrueAncestor and gin2jelly are the best, with the same setting and kernel than other rom ( NXT and Dixperia ) the game run smoother with no lag.
then you have dixperia, very performant.
and finaly next rom, the more complete ( application, reboot menu...) but with the same kernel/setting than the other you got lag.
for me the gaming test is Backstab in outdoor level, if your rom run smooth with this game you could play to every game.
dixperia 2 is lighter i think...
i'm noob here just trying to help....:fingers-crossed:
U guys seems to be missing the point here. Each rom MAY BE the same but the diff that they all hav is their tweaks. Each rom hav diff tweak specially made for them. Thats what differs them from another. I think DiXperia 2 hav everything now. Just sayin.
Neither.
Try NXT ROM. It 's basically the "Value Pack" that users asked after sony decided not to bring ICS on XperiaPlay.
I'm thinking of getting a GNX but am unsure because of its mediocre specs. So what can you guys play on yours?
Will it run the latest titles at a playable speed?
thanks

asphalt 7 runs smoothly with overclocking kernel and aokp jellybean!
no need for overclock..
its smooth with stock kernel or trinity with the stock values
I dont like playing games on phone, so the only one i have is cut the rope exp hd, trinity kernel underclocked to 1gz and it runs without any lag
I play all the newest games with no issues or lag.

Most of the games. I haven't found any that didn't work for me.

nova 3,shadowgun and dead trigger without problems,no lag at all with trinity kernel at max 1 ghz and gpu at 512mhz.i add that i have the supercharger, and one of the negative aspects of it (i red this on supercharger sript's 3ad) is the use of games..but i don't notice prob at all
I only have fruit ninja but it runs amazing
minecraft runs well on fancy graphics.

dead trigger is terribly slow with stock kernel...but with trinity it runs a lot better, there's some lagging in the beginning though
The galaxy nexus should be able to play any games out there besides the tegra 3 optimized ones of course lol. Emulators work great as well. Honestly, no apps use the superpower of the S3 yet so I'd still consider this high end.

I've tried a ton of games on my GN2 and I haven't run into a single game that hasn't been smooth. Everything has been great. Whoever said that is crazy.
Max Payne and GTA3 running without even breaking a sweat here.

Same thing here....the phone rocks man....i havent seen a game that runs slow...maybe it does in power saving mode...but normally you would love the big screen
You might wanna check which forums you were researching on where people were saying that....you might have been on an iPhone forum
Everything runs super smooth here

Nova launcher, as well as Apex launcher, both showing significant visual artifacts when scrolling. Makes them unusable for me So I have to use the stock launcher which is really not pleasant... Anyone has any hints on how to improve Nova's behavior?
The latest Opera browser on Note 2 is also much jerkier compared to Galaxy S3, I have both phones and can compare.
Tried playing wildblood nba 2k13 shadowgun (for quad core) no lag at all.

Seen that
Strangly, Stick Cricket lags a lot on my note2, but heavier games run smooth..
(i never keep power saving on)
im playing NFS most wanted also no lag..very smooth
I beg to differ, no problems at all here

lol Does this guy know what thread he is talking about? Nova 3 is a game, launcher guy. omg
btw, my note 2 is running CM 10.1.3 and games run great!
Maybe you should mention the games they're playing, because, well, to be honest, I'm not a big gamer, but I do play a little and I have had 0 lag and stutter. Great device for gaming! Let Apple have a better GPU but on a 4" POS screen ... Next will be the iMagnifyingGlass!
Huge screen, and awesome performance. Totally recommended.

HD Games will lag in ICS. Try GB roms, I recommend X-Gamer.:good:
If you still want ICS, try some custom Roms, there are many out there.
Bro, wrong section.
AW: HD gaming for arc s running ics
Truesmooth Rom or Jelly Dream Rom are good for gaming on ICS, but also take a look at the App swapper 2, it can fix input lag,
Real Boxing for Tegra Devices, isn't? I can't open with Chainfire 3D
