Google Play Movies audio but no video (black screen) - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

When I try to play purchased or rented movies from Google Play on my s III, I get audio but just a black screen. My device is not rooted, and it is running the latest 4.1.2 stock rom from Sprint. I have the same problem on my Galaxy tab 7+ that isn't rooted (it's running 4.0.4). Does anyone else have this problem, or has anyone found a solution?

[Q] Netflix audio/video sync issue

Anyone having problems with audio/video on Netflix being out of sync on the note 10.1 2014?? I can play the same movie on my old Asus TF201 tablet and it plays perfect.
BTW I installed only about 10 apps on the thing and did not attempt to root or even change skins etc yet.
Any solutions/ideas. Your help is much appreciated.

Purchased Google play movies & shows wont play

Does anyone else have this problem? No purchased (free or paid) TV shows or movies will play on the youtube app or the google play movie app. All i get is a "There was a problem while playing. Touch to retry"
They run fine everywhere else, PC, chrome cast (via other phones) and Nexus 5.
edit: so i remembered i was running art and after updating to 10g i went back to dalvik and they seam to run in the Google movie app, but they still wont work on the youtube app. (it did not work before version 10g even when using dalvik)
going back to art again it still works so something in 10g seams to have partially fixed the problem.

[Q] Custom ROM and Play Movies?

I can't seem to find much on the topic of using Play Movies with the option set to download the items for offline playback on a device with a custom ROM. A few weeks ago I bought a few episodes of a TV show for use while out of signal range on a vacation. Thankfully I tested playback before leaving.
The week before I had finally put AOKP on my Nexus 7. The purchased episodes would stream via wi-fi with no problem. However when I set them to be stored locally on the tablet, none of them would play after downloading and from what I could find via searching this was a problem with custom ROMs. However it sounded like some ROMs could potentially work but I have no idea which ones since what I was reading wasn't specific to the Nexus 7.
I'm wondering if anyone knows of any N7 2013 ROMs that don't cause this problem with Play Movies content? The episodes worked fine when I reverted to my stock rooted backup and set them to be stored locally again. I suppose I could revert to a backup of stock when I wanted to play something offline but that seems a little ridiculous and a waste of a couple gigs of space for the backup.

Google Movies & TV, audio but no streaming video

So yesterday I noticed that when I tried to stream a movie through google play movies & tv only the audio would play (oddly enough the info cards still come up along with the closed captioning). I can however download movies/shows and they will play and the trailers in the app will stream and play video but nothing that I own will play video. I've tried switching between awesome player and nuplayer and nothing. Installed Movies & TV 3.7 and still nothing.
I'm running a Cyanogenmod 12 nightly so I'm guessing/hoping the cause is a bug in one of the nightlies. If not is it possible that google might be blocking the video? I find it suspicious that the trailers in the app will stream and play fine but nothing else will. Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips other then changing the ROM?
Make sure you haven't got Display HW overlays ticked in Developer Settings.

Opening Pandora when phone is locked

Hello,
Before the latest update, I was able to ask Google to open Pandora when the phone is in my pocket and locked. My phone would connect to my car's bluetooth and Pandora is the only music app that I've found so far that will automatically play.
Can anyone else open Pandora when the phone is locked from their Moto360?
I've uninstalled and reinstalled Pandora. I have a Galaxy S6 Edge on Android 5.1.1 Android Wear ver. 1.1.1.2006643 and Google Play ver 7.8.99
