I installed it, (works great btw, fav rom so far. even over Paranoid Android and i loved that ****) on the notification screen it shows my 2nd processor offline, is that because my phone is messed up or is that the way the rom is, or is it some tweak i have to set or something. i dont really wanna mess with anything and **** up my phone.
Well, you have a single core phone so it makes sense that it would say that. Nothing wrong bud. However, this could've been asked in the ROM thread.

Are the official CM10 nightlies stable enough to use daily? The thing is, I don't have this phone anymore so I can't test it out myself. I would be flashing it on my wife's Epic.
Right now she's on stable CM9. She isn't much for fixing things, so if there are any major bugs that require workarounds, it'll probably be a dealbreaker.
What do you guys think? What works and what doesn't? I trust your opinions.

Only reason I say no is because if your wife is anything like my exes (god that sounds awful) then the chance of random reboots is unacceptable. And if you have my luck you won't have them but she will. Wait until it has a major non preview release.
If it was for you, being the technical man I assume you are, I'd definetly say it's doable as a daily. Hell I would if there wasn't miui gb.

Y not? I've rooted and flashed my wifes phone many times... something goes wrong, fix it... not everybody has a crazy girlfriend/wife who would leave them if their phone died for a day... man where do u people find these crazy women at???

I flashed CM9 to my wife's phone. May even do the NS4G modem stuff. I try to test stuff out and give her the most stable/battery efficient thing I can,
Depends on your wife's technical knowledge. If she understands why the very rare and random reboots happen then go for it. Just don't use the NS4G modem as that adds a whole other potential set of problems to an experimental mod.
I haven't had any problems with CM10 besides the MMS issue involving more than one picture incoming, but this was also present in CM9 so I don't think it'll get fixed any time soon.
anyone familiar with this problem? is it common? I keep having to reset this under "display" to 2 minutes, and I believe it has something to do with the fact that I think it first goes into energy saving mode and somehow the default
setting takes on the power saving setting.

you have a lot options for 4.0.3, 4.0.4, 4.1.2 and 4.2.2 android versions...
any reason your hanging onto 2.3 ?
I am sure if you upgraded to one of the stable roms out there you would lose that little glitch

Probably needs to be on touchwiz to work. Besides, it won't give much benefit on any non touchwiz roms because if you have a custom kernel or recovery, it will re-trip the counter each time you reboot.

Probably no one else replied because they saw mine, and since it was unanswered and not disputed, they had nothing to add. If you disagree with what I posted or think I'm wrong about needing to be run on touchwiz, then say so and it may prompt more attention.
Also, while probably ok to post it here, it might be seen by more people if you posted it in Q&A. Personally, I generally only visit T&A (lol) once or twice every few days. I imagine there's others that do the same.

I'm not going to ask which is best. That's like kicking myself in the testes. But... Ihave searched a few. Watched reviews . kinda did my hw.
But can anyone suggest a ROM close to stock, least issues, has the multi window function working for all apps. Better tweaks. Overally... What the touch wiz was throttled back for.
Im currently on dirty unicorn, tried jelly bomb and ooooh man... I wanted the jedix20 soooo bad. But they didn't port it to sprint. Just everyone else. I did hear someone had a sprint fix to it. But I couldn't find it. Nor can I really trust it.
But I'd love to play with the Jedi if possible.
Main problem is that since the sprint galaxy note 2's lifetime is nearly up. Had the developers have abandoned it for the note 3. The other half is completely giving up on it as soon as the note 4 comes out. So... Hence recently updated. So... If anyone can suggest a few good ROMS, ILL CHECK THEM ALL OUT! But since there are so many, and half are just dead. I'd like live suggestions. Please.
If anyone knows how to get the Jedi x20 into sprint note 2 I'd be most appreciative.

Can anyone tell me if and when we will be seeing custom Roms like CM12 , MIUI, or Pac Rom? S-OFF is for HTC phones.
Oh ok. What I meant then was OEM unlocking. It says it unlocks the bootloader. Does that mean anything as far as development purposes. Is that a good thing. What early will that mean for our phones. Sorry about my first post. I've had many different kinds of phones. Each had different ways to root and tweak the phones.

Actually, i thought this was a good question. No asking for a hard date or anything, just an honest question asking if there is a technical hurdle delaying development on this device. I was also curious about this.

That has nothing to do with it. That only means it'll be hard as hell getting an AOSP ROM (CM, Pacman, etc.).

Yup nothing to do with the chip. It's the fact that 5.1.1 is a pain in the a$$ for devs but I have no doubt they will figure some out soon.

No, almost each variant is different. The sprint variant is a little trickier.
I was wondering if you can tell me the difference? Is this something that sprint did or something samsung did to the phone. Don't they all have that new chip in the instead of the qualcom or however it's spelled chip? Does the sprint phone being trickier to get custom Roms for mean that one carriers phone is better than anothers. I'm just curious. I like to know what's up with my phone so if someone asks me I can tell them and I sound like I know what im talking about.

It has nothing to do with one carrier being better than any other. I'm positive it's a couple of factors such as the fact that 5.1.1 is a butthead for devs. Also, the previously mentioned development knowledge of exynos but along with that Sprint is as CDMA carrier which tends to be as little trickier for porting/development.
