Open a help thread in your device's Q/A forum. Our device never had a rom called "Omega".
I'm using a galaxy note 2, which does have one. After I booted it to teamwin recovery I played around and got it to work, so thanks anyway

Hi ryan and hugz
Over the past week i have been trying to find a good rom for my epic. I think i have a bad phone, as any rom i use still has the same problems as stock.
I thought i hard bricked my phone a couple of days ago. Follow this thread to Odin back to stock, then root as usual, if you can not resolve your issues. Once back to stock and rooted, you should be able to restore nand, if you made one, once you reinstall cwm or twrp.

Always remember to backup with TiBu to keep reinstalling apps simple.

I tried loading a couple Jelly Bean roms for my Verizon GNex.
It's unlocked and everything and it was on 4.0.4 Build IMM76K with superuser and CWM recovery. The whole deal.
I ran recovery and tried to load these 2 ROMS, 2 seperate times starting from a fresh 4.0.4 build each time:
BAMF you jelly v1.3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1744389
and
Team Liquid Vicious-toro V3: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1738018
Someone suggested to try a different kernel, but I'm not sure what that means.
What should I do?
are you using the touch recovery?
Did you WIPE DATA first?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Try Team Vicious's again, and be patient. I remember when I first flashed V1 I waited about 2-5 minutes before it brought me to the welcome screen. The Kernel that comes with Vicious is fine, although I've been using Faux's Kernel and am LOVING it.
You can flash kernels the same way you flash ROMs, as long as it is in a ZIP file, you are good to go. Just make sure it is compatible with Jelly Bean.
Let me know what method you are using to flash ROMs and I will try to be more detailed if needed.
Yes I am using the touch recovery. Am I not suppose to?

its been known to have issues. use the regular cwm
Did you fix permissions?
What loading screen? Google screen or boot animation?
Jeez, people need to search for real, like 3 threads on this already. Why don't you ask over in respective rom thread? Better yet, I don't believe bamf or vicious devs would release a rom without making sure it boots.

GNex stuck at Jelly Bean ROMs boot animation loading screen
I'm in a similar situation. After I flashed my Verizon GNex to Vicious Jelly Bean V3 everything seemed fine. So I decided to try my luck at flashing a theme as well. The phone is stuck on an endless JellyBean animation screen. My laptop no longer recognizes the Samsung drivers ie. they won't load, so I have no way to talk to this thing. I've tried to initiate recovery mode on the phone and it won't work either. Anybody know something I could try? I'm obviously new at this so any help would be appreciated.
Same problem over here with a friends Gnex. Same JB that installs and boots fine on my Gnex will not run on his. Weird issue

As the title says I can't get any jellybean ROM to boot. I have tried different recoveries, wipes, locks, unlocks, and I've tried to flash TeamEOS, Are you Jellin, my own aosp creation and Jellybro. None will boot past the boot animation if I go back and flash a ICS ROM everything works just fine I'm lost and I could use some help from my fellow developers and peers, please and thanks.

not really this is a development question pertaining to why jelly bean roms wont boot past the boot animation on my sprint gnex in hopes to get the developer community help to solve this issue for myself and anybody else who has this issue as there probably are people who have a sprint gnex like myself that has this issue .......guys please don't take this the wrong way but if you can help please don't post lets let the moderation team do their thing is this is out of place as we don't need folks "trolling" preventing those that can help from helping by not wanting to deal with reading useless post and back and forth banter .... thanks

whats amazing is that this thread got moved then lost in the shuffle however there is at least two other threads here with people that have the same issue with cdma galaxy nexus and jelly bean not booting or boot looping which is why this thread was originally posted in the develop section so that developers would see this and help find a resolve

Having the same issue. Won't boot past boot animation using either CWMR or TWRP to flash 4 different jelly bean roms. I have never had these problems with and ICS rom either.
About to lose my mind trying things lol
anyone have any luck? I've tried pretty much jb rom and they all do the same. Obviously it something with the phone causing it but i dont know else to do. I wipe everything can possibly wipe...
Jellybean takes a long time to boot. First EVER JB BOOT took 30 min.
29 min at the Google screen. Then 1 min at the boot animation.
After that it boots in 30 sec-3 min. Just be patient.

Myself and a few others have let it sit for hours. I have at one point had it sit for 12 hours. Don't think that was a good thing to do to my phone. It seems that some of us are having an issue with the phone not get past the new JB disc check.
I figured I would try something new today so i flashed the factory 4.0.4 image making it 100% stock, then i super wiped it and flashed bamf 4.1.1 and its gapps, the boot animation looped for about 45 min before i gave up. Just...dont...get. ..it...
Same here, tired of looking and trying to fix this boot loop issue.. I think are only hope is the official jb rom..

HALP, I haz a mystery (probably an easy one for you guys).
On a completely stock E4GT with the most recent Sprint ICS release (FL24), Wednesday I ended up using information from the following link: (groovypost.com/howto/epic-touch-install-cm-10-1) to root and install CM10.1 Wild For The Night 3-4-13 version. The file rooted and flashed the EL29 kernel and CWM 5.0.2.7. Everything came right up, and I started geeking out over how awesome the ROM was. Used it successfully through about mid-day today (Friday), and then encountered an issue...
The phone wasn't dialing out, so I restarted the phone, and it has been stuck at the CM10.1 loading screen animation ever since. Since then I have tried wipe/cache/dalvik/reflash, and even got home and installed todays new nightly build 03082013 to no avail. Can somebody please give me a hint here?
Thanks so much guys
Aside from attempting to go back all the way to stock, what else can I do to get the OS to fully boot up?
**I've now even flashed back to stock FL24 and then tried to re-do the process...same problem arose. Not really sure why it worked super well before, and now won't boot
Maybe it's a bad download

The flash went through without a problem so I doubt it was a bad download.
So the ROM flashed successfully and you were able to boot and test it out before you had trouble making calls and after a reboot you got a boot loop? What apps did you install? Did you play with any of the settings which could cause the issue?

Yep, flash was successful and I was using and loving the new ROM for two days, then upon restart it just got stuck on the CM10 loading animation :-/
I installed Goo Manager and Rom Manager, which I'm learning was a mistake. But since then, I've reflashed back to stock FI27 (which worked but had a lot of force close issues..) and then re-did the process to flash CM10.1 on, with the same end result of stuck @ loading animation. I really need to have use of my phone back, any ideas?
Thanks!

Yeah :-/ thats what I ended up figuring out, will not touch them next time around.
Yes, did full restore to stock ROM and stock recovery using a one click FI27. And yes, I had used the EL29Directboot before installing CM10.1. I think I did most things right, its still just not playing nicely :-/

Did you wipe the system in the safe recovery?
Sent from my Jelly Flavored Epic Touch
Yep, did a clean wipe on the CWM 5.0.2.7 recovery, which is supposed to be a safe recovery as far as I know
Hi guys,as the title says i cannot flah rom.
Well i can flash them but every rom has problem,I tried PAC,CM,SlimBean nothing work(or if it works,no more than one day or 2)
CM gives me MD5 errors, slimBean UI keep crashing,PAC every time i try to flash something in recovery(after flashing the rom)keep rebooting and stays on loop.
I know i mentioned specific roms and whatnot but at this time i don't think it's rom related(or recovery,i tried 3 different recovery),the only thing working flawlessly is the stock rom with root.
You guys have some advice? i've had the phone for about 5 months now and i wanted to try out roms but apparently i can't.
Cheers
Dave

the first time with CM no because i followed a guide which didn't.
But with PAC and SlimBean yeah i wiped everything.
The first time with PAC recovery went bad(i guess)and didn't let me wipe or flash anything,i flashed a stock tft repeated the process, the flash worked but as i reboot and tried to flash the on screen button it gave me the same recovery error.
maybe i do something wrong,i came from an HTC desire HD and the whole process was easier and less problematic
