Hey there!! Well here goes my story... I accidentally (meaning intentionally) flashed my phone a kernel for a micromax... And rendered it useless... So I had to take it back to my carrier for a repair, the surprise came when I got the phone today... The technicians flashed on my phone... Jelly Bean 4.1.1!! So now my phone is running smooth and lag free and I would like to share this official ROM with you guys... Only thing is that... I don't know how to do it! But if someone can teach me how to do it, I'll be more than glad to post it to the forum!
(By the way... Can you guys help me with rooting jelly bean??)

Superb! You can (carefuly) try this to install CWM and make a nandroid backup of your JB ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33100711&postcount=51 Remember to erase all your data (factory reset) before doing the ROM backup that you want to share (so you won't share any personal information).
To root the device, you can try this tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2160490
Edit: this is another way of installing CWM but with the phone rooted: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=38377684&postcount=234
If you can get the JB ROM, I would like to have a copy of it for my Vivo 4.3!

Already with nearly ten days that this person posted this and gave no response, I'm guessing that's a lie.
please upload the ROM that you are having on your phone...there is a whole community of thousands of users waiting for the same to happen....follow this thread and ask questions for whatever doubts u have.... we have an identical device called Micromax A90S and we are desperately waiting for a JB kernel source.

Hi all, I bought this htc one v about a month ago and yeah it is my first android phone ever. Annoyed by the self running apps I went ahead and rooted the phone (youtube rocks ). And then I installed /system/appmover from market and being stupid enough I moved some system apps. But unfortunatelt this app permanently deleted those apps. Now my phone is totally messed up.
I need an Indian htc one v stock ROM.
Would someone be generous enough to help me out? plzzzz.
Any suggestions or directions are most welcome. I am a complete noob in android affairs.
Thanx in advance.

Ask Football (from dev section stock roms) for the rom. If you are lucky enough there will be it, if not then it will probably cost you some.
Or since your device is rooted, flash a custom ROM for the time being until the RUU is available. At least you still can use your device.
thnx
Thanks guys for your time.
I'll ask football about the Rom.
I've flashed 'myone rc 3' n got the phone working. But it lags sometimes.
Nvm, the phone is working. Thanks again guys.
A better ROM

My friend wants me to root his gs2 he just got.. I rooted my kids mothers gs3 for sprint few months back.. So i kno samsung phones are pretty easy to root but i wanted to kno whats the newest root and unlock method to use? im sure he on the newest base.. I want to unlock the bootloader flash recovery and root.. Thanks guys:good:
Well I welcome you're friend to the T989 community. This phone will be referred to as the T989 or Hercules, this is important to know when flashing a new ROM, etc.
This link will help you to initially root the phone. All instructions are listed in the link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1311194
As per flashing other ROMs, I would suggest you to install CWM or TWRP. The reason you should update is because the recovery in the rooting thread is quite old.
Link for CWM: http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager (scroll down to Samsung Galaxy S2 (T-Mobile)
Link for TWRP: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1768742
Have fun and good luck!

Well this phone is proposed to get an update but no one knows when.
For the best Samsung jellybean experience I would suggest you to use Jedi Jelly. It is sort of like the official Jelly Bean update but its ported from the Skyrocket (both phones are cross-compatible with most ROMs). Currently it has no kernels because it was leaked on the Skyrocket.
As per the AOSP experience, we have a wide range of flavors. The 4.2.x ROMs are pretty stable with only minor bugs which get fixed almost every week. Both are CM10.1, AOKP and P.A.C man ROM. We also have 4.1.x ROMs in CM10 which come in CM10, AOKP, PA, P.A.C Man, Slimbean, Avatar, and some more.
Most of these ROMs are very stable, and if you're looking for the nice one, which is my personal favorite, I'd go for Slim-Star: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2109841

You should google first, I know everyone was a first timer at one point, but at least try googling how to use recovery to flash roms.
Do that, and follow the OP installation instructions, and you'll be fine.

Don't think that Rom will work for him. Chances are he has upgraded to the latest version of LG's firmware. And I doubt he will have luck trying to downgrade. Maybe link him to Houston's jb leaks. They flash problem free without having to downgrade.

Your best bet is to read, read, read. Each device may respond a little bit differently to each ROM, and what apps you install can have an effect as well. It can be a long process, but the only way to say what ROM works for you is to try it

Hello Everyone!
First of all I want to say that this is not directly help for me, but for my girlfriend. I dont know you guys, but she is tired of her stock ROM since it freezes a lot of times, and yes, I have checked it, I tried updating, hardreset...etc and after a week the phone gets a lot of performance issues.
So my question is, I would like a modified ROM from the official last update if it exist, I mean that everything is working on the phone and it is of course faster than stock phone. This is not a questions "which is the best" nope, I just want to hear your reccommendations because I am not a user of this phone and I dont know very well all different versions etc. Furthermore I have read a lot on the forums, and i have a small idea what could work for this case.
for example:
Since this is a mod from a Stock ROm, It shoudnt has any problem, Isnt it?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2400633
My big concern is that Im not the user of the phone, and you now what happens with "users" if something is not working...
Happy new Year!

You can use WinDroid 2.0 toolkit. If u want good ROM... Ignorance is really good but try something from higher shelf HTCdroid. It's the best ROM for HTC One V! The smoothest and the fastest. But a lot of ROMs has one issue. Data usage doesn't work... Why? I don't know I'm working on it but here is one ROM what haven't got it it's MoDaCo.one Ir2 here it works. But it's outdated so use newer ROM like Ignorance!
Cheers and good experiences with unlocked HOV

thanks but, the main ones have good 3G connection right?? I mean ignorance and HTCDroid right??
Im starting the process, man this stock ROM gives problems even while sync contacts
If you are tired of sense shpongle is the way to go. If you are okay with it, pick htcdroid. Both best in its classes. Htcdroid seems bugless or only minor bugs visible while shpongle got camera dead - you need 3rd party apk.

Samsung galaxy ace II [GT-I1860] JB help/ questions.
hey everyone today ive decided to make a thread for the galaxy ace 2 Jellybean users to help awnser your problems and lags and what causes them, and to ask my own questions...
JellyBean 4.1.2 (Stock rom) having tried this rom ive currently found no problems other than that horrible lock screen,
if you switch it off / lock it (via the power button) and then switch the screen on again and you get a black screen
thus so disabling the usage of lock screen/sleep does anyone know how to fix this or am i just flashing the wrong/unstable rom...
if you have a stable rom for the ace 2 (GB & JB) please share :good:
thank you and all the best,
-Speedtrix.
(PS. im not noob so fell free to use all terms to say what you think.) :good:
