I know that the video's audio in the cm10.1 or aosp rom is gonna be super low, my question is ; if i go back to touchwiz and play the same video back will i hear it at normal volume? And if not is there a way or fix to amplify the audio from video that is lost from video recording...
Thanks in advance...

The hardware drivers do not match cause the Samsung drivers are closed source. It won't change how its played on whatever you try to play the video on, it'll be low. I've read from another user that applying faux kernel and such will change this. I can't comment on it though.

Playback or recording? Because camera doesn't work in cm7.

Playback. I can't get any hardware codecs to work. But software codecs work like a charm. Only problem is..there's really no apps that will play urls with software codecs...none that I have tried.
Each time I try to play a youtube video I get that this video is unplayable error

So I've been trying to improve sound quality since a lot of my phone usage is spent listening to music at work. I downloaded the Equalizer app and it seems to randomly reboot my phone. I think it's tied to using bass booster but because it's so random I haven't been able to narrow it down yet.
Just curious if anyone has been using the app and if theirs is working.
what eq app? I'm using Google music and it has built in eq.

The stock music app already has an eq. When you are on the now playing view use the menu and there should be a sound effects option.

its a adware.not install.
I don't think it gets much better than MX Player from market. Far better than stock IMO.

Nah the new jellybean video player kills any after market player. Plays any codec flawless even transcoding. Love it compared to ICS player. Just wish it had 200% volume mod.

When I record video, there's low audio/sound on video playback...
What is going on and how do I fix this?
Thanks
This has been covered numerous times.. It's a known AOSP issue across the board. Fauxsound has been known to be a possible fix

So what does fauxsounds do? Does it increase the volume or does it fix the AOSP problem?
Will the sounds still be low when playing the video on a computer?
I'll bump this for you
Don't have an answer for this

Occasionally I'll be at concerts and the audio for recording video for the s3 is terrible. Are there any apps that improve audio recording ?
