I am looking for stock video player to run on AOKP; i guess its an ICS video player. Just installed ROM and noticed there is no video player.
I tried some from market but didnt like them.
Thanks in advance.

its a adware.not install.
I don't think it gets much better than MX Player from market. Far better than stock IMO.

Nah the new jellybean video player kills any after market player. Plays any codec flawless even transcoding. Love it compared to ICS player. Just wish it had 200% volume mod.

I am currently on rom- miui 2.6.16 kernal - 2.6.38.8 mason-ginger... and having an issue with my video player. The player plays skippy videos either through my gallery or web. I tried downloading a different player (mx player) and still get the same issue. Does anyone know of a fix? Thanks in advance!

Get MX player
Tried it, still same skippy video.

Sounds like hardware driver problems like the Lg-p500 on ICS try software encoding on MX player.

Ok, here's what I didn't try and now it works. I re-downloaded Mx player boosted the speed setting and then "rebooted" my device and finally started get smooth playing videos. Thanks for the support!

What is the best video and audio player for Nexus7? I have PowerAmp and Vplayer and they are good I'm just wondering whats new and better. Is there an awesome all in one player that plays all videos, movies, music and online video, audio streams and supports all video and audio formats?

XBMC is the daddy

Either VLC or XBMC, there are beta versions for the N7 floating around which are relatively stable (though I've had problems with force closes in VLC). I don't think either is mature enough yet to replace Poweramp/VPlayer/DicePlayer, but once the bugs are ironed out and releases made official these will be the 'play-everything' apps.
I like Moboplayer, although I'm not sure if it's powerful enough for your needs, but it does everything I need it too.
I like MX.

I've found Diceplayer has the best HW playback. For example its the only one that will play FLV using hardware decoding while the others have to use software.

I'm running JB right now with the apollo music player and I've noticed that a lot of my music that played on gingerbread no longer works. Does apollo only play certain files? If they do, what kind and how do I convert?

Yes apollo is limed to only certain music files. It plays mp3s not sure what else, but try poweramp app for what ur trying to play I use it for wma files so I don't have to convert them. Hope this helps https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.maxmpz.audioplayer
