What is clogging up your memory? If you don't mind me asking.

For what you would pay to even get the 64gb memory module (if you could even find the correct one) and the labor you'd have to pay for someone to even consider doing the swap as well as taking a huge risk on it not being recognized because there could possibly be differences hard coded into the chipset and if the person doing it doesn't have the proper tools to solder the tiny connections. You might as well go buy a 64gb International version or suck it up and buy a bigger SD card and use the links to the apps provided above.
reason why I asked what is clogging up your memory, is because we can probably help you free up some of that memory. Post a screen shot of your memory page. I really doubt you have 16 gigs of apps, and even then it would be easier to root and move apps to sd.

Grabbed one for 30$ on sale.
What options should I use? Type, block size, partitions, etc?
just put it in your phone and format it from there
Edit: forgot to say that you posted on the wrong forum.

I am looking for some help with partitioning my sprint Samsung note 2 sd card so that I can use a program such as "app to sd pro".. My internal disc space on the phone is filling up fast. I bought a 32gig mini sd card, but the program does not recognize the card. It indicates that the external sd card is not partitioned as a primary partition. First off- does the phone have to be rooted? Next, can I just use a program such as "mini partitition tool" and just reduce the partition size on it already and make another primary partition without rooting? Can anyone help. thanks.
First and foremost, this is the Android Development section. You're looking for Q&A...

A quick glance at the app's info gives me this.
Not supported devices:
* Galaxy S3, Note 2, Galaxy Nexus, Tablets
There are plenty of mods that accomplish what you're looking for but those require root.
Thanks for being nice adamanypants.
I'm constantly surprised how people can miss all of the stickies, notices, obvious headings describing the different sections, telling people what kinds of posts go where.

Is there a way to physically swap the "memory" in the phone? I did a google search and apparently there are malaysian versions with 32GB.. so why not ours? I know on my old work phone, HTC windows phone... when it died, I put a new Micro SD card in and it booted and now works fine. Are the Galaxy phones the same?
Questions go in Q&A.
Thanks for the help... I guess I should ask a Moderator to move it so that I may actually get some "general info" on the phone.. Sorry I used the "General" section...
I didnt know we had a "general" questions and answers forum. .
This is the "general" forum.. there have been other questions asked and discussed without hesitation...

General is for posting things like information and guides. All questions go in Q&A. And no you can not swap the internal memory as it is soldered to the main board although you can expand your storage by putting a micro SD in the micro SD card slot

Thanks mrevalkyle.. preciate it.
OP.....
The memory swap option is working. ..see here. .http://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-n...sd-card-with-rooted-galaxy-note-2-app2sd-mod/
Please review the link to verify it's compatibility with our device. ..
Software memory swap to use external as internal memory is very common and easy.
I have not done this, as I have no need. ..but it's a great mod.
A general search will also give you more options as well.
It's really the only option without a physical device change.
Good luck, and happy flashing. ..g

long story short my note 2 was confiscated as the result of an arrest. the case is now concluded and I am permitted to go pick it up. I am curious to know if sheriff's departments/state attorney's offices are allowed to tamper with cell phones in an effort to tap them, track their location, and tell if they have been activated on the line previously used? do you guys think I should sell it and get another one, or reformat the OS and call it a day? thanks in advance.
Wipe and flash a new rom. Its likely any tap would be software (if any). So by wiping in twrp and flashing a new rom you are overwriting whatever was placed inside the os. It is very unlikely the could have tapped the bootloader.

I would go with the above. I'm not sure about the GPS and how it exactly ties into the phone in regards to tracking.
The question, rhetorical, are you doing something that would be something to where law enforcement would want to track your movements. Depending on the outcome of your case, the DA may still have to file for search warrants, which is takes time and money, both limited resources. If you got probation or parole, they may not have to, but there are still rights you are entitled to, so that may be a better question for legal adviser. If you're not doing anything to warrant the attention, I wouldn't worry about it. Just try to stay out of trouble for other reasons.
The only way to track the phone besides hardware and software would be from sprints side. Your account would be tracked. So it wouldnt matter which phone you went to. There is always someway to track someone. So change roms and live life

If you are going to take the time and bother to move a post, and I do understand why you do it, Why don't you also provide a link to the "moved"
post? That'd surely help all concerned to find the post and any further access to it. (It'd make this a more Friendly action than a cold, terse,
gestapo-like message.) That'd be a win all around in my opinion :>)
Just my 2 cents and I have noticed this action long ago....
