[Q] Need Help - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi,
I activated WB-AMR on my phone by following http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2208627
After enabling HD voice I have problem with calling. When I make or receive call I cannot hear anything. I can only hear if I click extra volume icon on my phone.....
1) Tried 3 kernels.. including stock
2) tried restoring my old nandroid
3) tried fresh install
4) tried restoring efs backup from twrp
5) Factory restore
I thought its call recording feature so I disabled that also. But problem persists and I have to click this extra vol icon 8 out of 10 calls.
I am attaching a logcat also when I faced this issue.
How can i fix this or disable this hd voice

[Q] Call history problem

Hi there!
I have a very annoying problem and I'm trying to fix it for a week but nothing changed:S
So... my problem is that when I call/am called somebody/by someone, the person turns up in the Call history of course. But when I lock my screen, and then unlock it... the call history clears:S
I used the virtuous unity rom since now and I suspected it for the problem, but didn't want to change so I tried everything... backup, reset, restore backup...etc.
Nothing changed so I tried another rom... the Android revolution... but the problem is the same:/
Could you solve this issue for me plz?
Thanks in advance!
Anyone?
I still couldn't find the solution
Please someone help me, if you know the solution!
There are still nobody who can help me?
Sounds like an overzealous privacy app. Try flashing a ROM and don't install any app and see if the problem persists or not.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA App
I had a similar problem. Try accesing your call history via the app drawer.
If that's ok delete the shortcut on your desktop and then add it again.
Hope this helps

I've tried that and the problem is not exist for a long time... but after that it randomly occurs...
The strange thing is that sometimes it works correctly... eg: when I add a new contact, or clear the call history... but these things only worked once, my call history worked fine and then I got the error again, and after that these "methods" didn't work again:/

Thanks, but that didn't work:/
Had a similar problem once (annoying as hell)
here is how I fixed this maybe different for you but you can try...
CWM Recovery (any)
Erase All User Data (Format User Data)
Wipe Data
Wipe Cache
Wipe Dalvik Cache
and then I used FULL WIPE 1.3
then install any ROM
No more call history bug, worked for me see if it works for you
Thank you very much, but unfortunately that didn't work either
It acts as usual... fresh rom, the call history works well, and then all of a sudden it's broken:S
What ROM are you using and are you using the Recommended Radio???
Virtuous Unity 1.31 with the recommended radio flashed with UMT
Temp solutions to that...

I have that problem also after a stock rom update.
But when you typ in a number and clear it, then you'll see the call history again.
For me this is a temp solution.
For me, it's unfortunately not

[Q] Restoring SMS Breaks ROMs ( Help Please )

I would REALLY appreciate some help with this please, because after 10 reflashes, I still can't find the problem. I've been trying to flash the Darkside Evolution ROM ( latest T-Mobile version ) on my phone. Everything seems to work fine, until I start restoring my text messages, at which point, all hell breaks lose. My stock messaging app just brings up a black screen and eventually FCs, Google Play keeps FCing as well, and occasionally, no keys typed in any of my keyboard apps show up in the fields selected. Reboots don't help.
Here's how I've been flashing ( running CWM 5.0.2.7 non-touch ): 1. flash darkside super wipe. 2. flash ROM. 3. flash darkside cache-wipe. 4. let system sit 10 minutes before toying with it. I've also tried flashing the cache-wipe after the 10 minute system sit, but I still have issues.
Here's what I've tried, with no success:
1. Searching the forums for any possible solution, but to no avail.
2. Mainly use GoSMS to backup & restore texts, but also tried SMS Backup & Restore and GoBackup instead, with same results, if not worse.
3. Re-ODINed to stock, rooted and flashed CWM again .
4. Checked MD5 checksum of all files I've said I've used; all are verified as correct.
5. Tried Settings->Applications, and deleting cache / data for troubled apps. Only fixes issue with Google Play.
5. Tried different ROMs ( Juggernaut v5.0 and Darkside Digital Warfare v2.7-( my somewhat stable DD until now) months ago, and Infamous 2.6-(worked after a couple of tries, but missing features I need) and Darkside Evolution v7 the past few days ).
TL;DR - Restoring SMS breaks any Rom I flash. Help please?
Could someone help, pretty please?
...I'm sorry if I sound pushy or agitated, but I spent about 20 hours just this past week, wiping, flashing, and restoring, over and over again with quite a few different ROMs to no avail, and unfortunately I'm not exaggerating. I'm tech savvy, but I know anyone can make stupid mistakes, and I would just REALLY appreciate it if someone could help me finally get to the bottom of this; it's been the bane of my rooting life. I can get on an IM app if that would make it easier.
I used to use Titanium Backup to restore sms & mms. But now I use Go Backup and hadn't had any issues. Every time I've used SMS Backup. I would get issues of the app freezing. I'm using TWRP for my recovery. I know some Dev's say not to use it but I haven't had one issue with it at all.
When you do restore your SMS & MMS are you rebooting your device right after?

Thanks for the reply. I've mostly used GoSMS Backup, but I've tried SMS Backup & Restore, Go Backup, and TiBu ( with "Migrate System Data" checked ) this week, but all of them cause random issues. I've been hesitant about using TWRP because a lot of people don't recommend it, but I don't mind giving that a shot if it won't brick my phone. Is there anything I should know about using it?
And sometimes I reboot right after an SMS/MMS restore, and sometimes I try to access the messages before rebooting. With TiBu, I always reboot first now. Either way, I still have issues.
I'm also on DarksideEvolution.3.v7, and have used SMS Backup and Restore without any issues. Also used SMS Backup+ without issues. I've restored anywhere from 400-800 +/- messages. How many text messages are you trying to restore? My only thought, was if your backup has thousands of messages, it may cause a memory issue that causes the hang ups.
I'm trying to restore about 12,000 text messages...
I was able to get DarksideEvolution3v7 completely working once, except that my GPS wasn't working, so I was going to wait until TDJ releases an update with a GPS fix until I try Darkside again. I haven't used SMS Backup+ because I don't want to use cloud services, and SMS Backup & Restore is one of the best working ones right now. I just tried GoBackup again, and after about 65%, it force closed with some kind of unknown exception error, and no texts showed even after a reboot.
That's your issue. Had it happen to me awhile back. Had to do some manipulation to get it to work. I forget the details exactly unfortunately. However, I do recall it was related to The max limiter in the messaging app and had to go with handcent, adjusted max sms settings higher prior to SMS refresh. Then had some issues with mMs which is the part I forget
Tb has the xml backup feature now, that might help since the backup file is smaller, so maybe memory isn't such an issue
I was afraid it might be something like that. I've had issues with previous phones restoring texts when I start hitting around 10k messages, but nothing this severe, and I figured that our SGSII's processing power should be able to handle it. I've been making sure that under the stock messaging settings, "Delete Old Messages" is always unchecked, but I'm not sure if that's what the max limiter is.
And do you know if there's anything special that I have to do to activate that TiBu feature? I saw it in my changelog when I updated, but I wasn't sure.

[Q] Bluetooth Toggle Stuck

Hello,
Using AOSPX MR1 , the Blutooth toggle is stuck on the "on" side , but its Greyed and when i open the Bluetooth Settings , it shows "Turning on" , i cant tap the bluetooth toggle so that i can turn it OFF .Bluetooth doesnt work still ,
is there a way to do so ?
i did try manually , removing the "Bluetooth.apk" from "system/apps" and then again putting it back and rebooting but that didn't help .
I was wondering where would the toggle switch value be saved so if i can manually turn that off from there ?
Thanks

ain't there a db entry for toggle switch where we can change it to off manually using any editor app ? ..
because flashing will require that i configure all the apps again and everything .. got the paid in app purchases aswell .. so that i don;t want to loose yet
Flashing is an option , but do we have another ?
Thanks

You wont lose your paid purchases, theyre linked to your google account, something like titanium backip or my backup pro willnsave all ypur apps data so you onky have minimal reconfiguring, wifi password and recovery, sms backup and restore, first thing to do is a nandroid backup, then you could justbtry flashing it over the top of your current install, see if that fixes it, else try a wipe and if nothing works you can restore your nandroid.

On the other hand if your going to wipe, you could flash a stable rom

You installed the rom and it was working but then you restored your nandroid backup which reset it back to how it was, the nandroid is a complete backup of your phone, so when you restored it, you restored the problem. Try reflashing the rom without wiping, you already have it backed up in casenit causes any undesirable behaviour (bootloops or the like) but I woukd hope that flashing the same rom over the top will correct the toggle error whilst all your installed apps would remain

Did that , when i reflash without wiping , the toggle issue still says
and its a stable ROM , actually this issue came up when my 1 yr old nephew got hold of the cell and kept switching the toggles and the issue came up
so what options are left now ?

Backup your apps (apk+data) with my backup https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rerware.android.MyBackupRoot (or titanium backup, mybackup is much simpler)
Fullwipe (everything except sdcard) install rom, restore your backed up apks the restore the data for them (do this seperate, not the option to restore both as occasionally it can throw up errors)
Dont restore your nandroid backup (that has the toggle issue backed up)
Worked

Bluetooth not working after restore

Hi Guys,
I had to flash a restored backup after my Google Play Service crashed so hard that the only chance to use my phone in a proper way was to restore an older backup.
After this my bluetooth didn't work anymore. No chance to start it. So I opended settings => apps and couldn't even find the bluetooth apps. Only app related to bluetooth was the widget app.
I think the problem began when creating the backup and something went wrong so the bluetooth apps weren't included. Yesterday I did a factory reset but without success
Is there a way to re-flash these apps/drivers or will I have to flash the original Software and loosing all my settings and so on?
Thanks for any help in advance :fingers-crossed:
Stock 5.0 / 5.1? Stock 6.0? CM12.1 ?
sorry, I forgot to tell you my OS
it's rooted stock 6.0
How did you create your backup ?
If you used TWRP, did you wipe Dalvik Cache between flashes?

I've had exactly the same issue. (also after a nandroid restore) RUU'ing the phone did the trick for me.

thanks for your answer
I'll try it within the next days
I also realized that boom sound isn't working anymore. I guess this is the same problem as the bluetooth issue
just did the nandroid again and bluetooth seems to work again *crazy*
Now I'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if it really works with my car's audio system
edit: after two days of testing I can confirm that bluetooth is working without any problems :highfive:
but boomsound still is not available. But this is something I can live with

Oneplus 3 Dialpad doesnt work during calls for inputs during customer care calls etc

Hi, Can someone help me. My Oneplus 3 Dialpad doesn't work during calls causing problems for inputting options or joining a conference call. I am unable to input Option 1 or dial in a conference id because the numbers dialpad doesn't show up during call. I installed a few other dial apps and nothing seems to work. Isn't there a button to bring It up? I'm pretty sure there is..
When I click on the button the numbers dont come up, it used to work but I think sometime after the Nougat update it stopped working. I am thinking is there any way other than the full flash of the update?
I cleared cache in recovery mode and also wiped the cache of all the apps. It still doesn't work. So if I do a factory reset will the dialer work or is it better to reinstall OOS 4?. I think something might have been removed or something, not sure why it doesn't work.
Is there anyway rather than factory reset or reinstalling the OS? Thx for the help.
I had this problem.. I push and wait a second, and it will take. But if you just push in the numbers like texting on a keyboard, it won't. Easy does it.

OnePlus OTAs suck. I have been reading about umpteen issues for people who went that route.
Better to clean flash the full ROM. Don't wipe internal storage and you won't lose data.

There are at least a couple of threads which I have seen on XDA. Unfortunately I am unable to locate them immediately. Search in XDA OP3 forums and you may get them.
I doubt that factory resetting will solve the problem.
Another option would be to install googles dialer + framework
