Hello everyone, I wanted to go ahead and post some of my custom boot animations that work well for the Nexus 4 although I made them for the Galaxy Nexus. Please let me know of any problems or requests.
Enjoy!
Updates:
4/1/2013: Updated two new requests, cleaned up MGS Codec Animation. Added my new personal favorite, the new Nexus Animation and also a progress bar version. Check it out its beautiful.
How to Install:
1.Save zip on sdcard
2.Copy to system/media (in most cases)
3.Rename stock bootanimation.zip as bootanimation.zip.bak or anything else.
4.Paste saved boot and rename to bootanimation.zip
5.Set permissions to RW, R, R

Bootanimations that look good on Galaxy Nexus

I did not create these, unless stated. What I did was to try them out, modify resolution and see if they look good or bad or work at all.
All of the attachments have resolution already changed for Galaxy Nexus.
Installation is as usual: rename to Bootanimation.zip, then copy into /Data/Local
You can preview them on the phone: open terminal, enter su, enter bootanimation and press enter. NOTE: To exit the animation you need to press CTRL+C on bluetooth or USB keyboard, so connect it before executing bootanimation command.
You can also preview Bootanimations on PC with BootAnimationPreview
So here we go:
This one was found on XDA Forum here
It looks nice when upscaled to high res. The attachment name is: desirehd-bios-boot_yazayad.zip

Bootsamsung.qmg in my style( s2)

HI, I want to share my boot animation and shutdown animation to you . They're come in .qmg format ,like the rom original boot animation .
If you want to try them , please backup or rename bootanimation.zip (custom boot animation) if it has in your rom ; download my work and copy to sd card . Then flash with CWM Recovery mode . It will replace the original ones.

1200x1920 Boot Animations Using Bootloader Graphics

These are flashable zips.
Always make backups before you flash anything!
These are boot animations that I made using images straight from the Nexus 7 bootloader. To see how I got these pixel for pixel images, please see my thread: The Google Splash Screen & Bootloader Graphics.
I have included a script that will uninstall the bootanimation if you flash it twice. My script also installs the bootanimation into /data/local/ instead of /system/media/ for a couple of reasons:
The /data/local/ bootanimation is checked for first, and if present, it is played
The bootanimation will persist through ROM updates unless you wipe your user data.
Not that this matters because it is a Nexus, but you don't need root to write to /data
If you are using your device now, you can view them in YouTube, and fullscreen it to get a better idea as to how they will look. The Gifs don't look that good. All of these are full resolution 1200x1920!

Hey XDA! Just want to bring a small contribution to this forum.
Here's a Watch Dogs boot animation that I have ported to our lovely Galaxy Grand i9082, or any device with 480 x 800 screen resolution.
It look's super cool because of it's elaborate style

Download the file above
Move it to your /system/media directory using Root Explorer/CM FIle Manager (make sure Root access is enabled)
If there's a dialog confirming to overwrite, tap OK/Yes
