These are flashable zips.
Always make backups before you flash anything!
These are boot animations that I made using images straight from the Nexus 7 bootloader. To see how I got these pixel for pixel images, please see my thread: The Google Splash Screen & Bootloader Graphics.
I have included a script that will uninstall the bootanimation if you flash it twice. My script also installs the bootanimation into /data/local/ instead of /system/media/ for a couple of reasons:
The /data/local/ bootanimation is checked for first, and if present, it is played
The bootanimation will persist through ROM updates unless you wipe your user data.
Not that this matters because it is a Nexus, but you don't need root to write to /data
If you are using your device now, you can view them in YouTube, and fullscreen it to get a better idea as to how they will look. The Gifs don't look that good. All of these are full resolution 1200x1920!

I know some people may not look at this other thread (Andriod Development and Hacking) so I thought I would post a little preview up here for the DesireZ/G2 users, I have no part in developing any of the following boot animations, I'm just another satisfied users sharing something I found and like.
All the credit for the following work goes to Dysgenic.
I can confirm the animations work great on our DesireZ/G2, just use the 480 x 800 zip files and follow the threads instructions on applying them to our phones, I used the ADB method in the OP post. Here is the LINK to the thread if you want to apply these sick boot animations.
Heres a preview of his boot animations:

Nice, me too. I flashed the AndroidParticles2.
Edit: Whoops! I missed the sticky thread. Pardon me.
Hey folks. I've decided to share my Boot Screen. This goes back to the days when I rooted my G1.
There are three versions. The second looks cleaner than the first if your screen is not extremely bright. I've included plain ol' Andro for your modification pleasure. These screens are not animated. However, your phone will boot 3-4x quicker than some other (including stock) animations.
Feel free to modify them as you wish, use it as a background, or animate it to your liking.
To install from your pc:
c:\folder\bootanimation.zip > adb push bootanimation.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip
Reboot
To install from phone:
-Copy to SD Card, then from terminal
$su
#cp /sdcard/bootanimation.zip /data/local/bootanimation.zip
Reboot

I did not create these, unless stated. What I did was to try them out, modify resolution and see if they look good or bad or work at all.
All of the attachments have resolution already changed for Galaxy Nexus.
Installation is as usual: rename to Bootanimation.zip, then copy into /Data/Local
You can preview them on the phone: open terminal, enter su, enter bootanimation and press enter. NOTE: To exit the animation you need to press CTRL+C on bluetooth or USB keyboard, so connect it before executing bootanimation command.
You can also preview Bootanimations on PC with BootAnimationPreview
So here we go:
This one was found on XDA Forum here
It looks nice when upscaled to high res. The attachment name is: desirehd-bios-boot_yazayad.zip

That particle one is sooo dope!
Hi all!! Here is the moto g Bootanimation for lollipop rom.. I will make later for kitkat
roms.. For now enjoy on lollipop roms...
Well you might be knowing that motorola now uses a video Bootanimation instead of the traditional images one because:
1. It will take less space in /system.
2. This can play the animation with steady fps doesn't matter the power of cpu. (Old bootanimations slow down the animation some times if cpu is not able to handle the animation)
3. At the End we can put any awesome video we like as bootanimation
So, I decided to port the cool moto g globe Bootanimation..
Here is the procedure...
1. Download the zip.
2. Flash the zip.
3. Yo... You have the new Bootanimation.
Suggestions are welcomed..

JellyBoot
Original Shield Portable Boot Screen Animation - Extracted and Flashable
This is the original boot screen animation Nvidia used when the Shield Portable launched on Jellybean firmware. The boot screen (bootanimation.zip file) has been updated from from OTA 66, to the final Nvidia revison (in OTA 77), before the boot screen was changed. This one is about 7MB smaller in file size and seems to cycle through faster (without altering the original FPS). I had included zips before of various FPS, but not this time. It just doesn't look right to me outside of the default 30FPS. Tested flashing from TWRP on Jellybean, Kit-Kat, and Lollipop. Don't recall if I ever tested it on a custom ROM. But it runs great on stock ROMs.
