Versions - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III

I just got my SGS3 today and have not yet attempted to root. I always take a few days to read up and try to learn what I am doing...to minimize mistakes ya know.
One thing I can not find any info on is the version codes that are placed in the rom titles. Such as ds2pr and kt747 and d2mtr and such. I don't know what they mean so I am not sure if it affects my phone in a negative or positive way. If someone can explain this I would be grateful.

If you have the sprint GS3 you have the d2spr.

Kt747 is a custom kernel. You'll also see TW which is touch wiz and AOSP which is android open source project.
GS3 Sprint LTE - The People's ROM with plenty of Rompnit - KT747 kernel and TK Mod with special sauce - CrossBreeder super butter - Greenify sleeping pills - Nova Prime evangelist - sent from xda premium

Sprint Galaxy Nexus

Hey guys, just opened my new Sprint Samsung Galaxy Nexus and got it activated. Any word on any roms that are going to be baked up for the Sprint version? I see there is not an appropriate section yet. I know this is somewhat of a question, but I think other might be looking for this post when they open their phone today too. Thanks!
ditto
You Sprint folks need to learn where to post. Sprint is CDMA...but questions, etc. need to be posted in the appropriate forum.

Actually this forum is specifically for Verizon CDMA. I'm sure a new forum will be started specifically for Sprint.
Doubt it. They are too similar. There is no reason to split the forum for Sprint.
I say a special forum for sprint would keep things less cluttered and less confusing I don't see any harm in it ...
Just a thought ..

unless everything that works for verizon will work on sprint, it defiantly needs a new section

Well in the general sprint galaxy nexus thread looks like everything works except phone service LOL
So a new forum would be nice, but i guess they could just fix a minor something in these roms and put up a sprint version.
I just think it would be less cluttered and crowded if we each had our own section, to discuss whatever..
And how is this Development?.

Best Stock Rom for N7100 for use on AT&T USA

Hi,
Got my N7100 and as soon as I got it, flashed it to Wanamlite 2.0. For some reason, I'm not getting the best battery life, so, just to compare, I want to flash to absolute stock and run it for a couple of day.
However, can't actually find any rom specific for US operators. Sam mobile has versions for the entire planet, but the US doesn't appear there (I suppose cos the US has carrier specific models). I downloaded Kies in the hope of downloading the firmware from there; but got a msg saying my device is modifiedand wouldn't download.
So, the question is, from the SamMobile website, which specific CSC version would be better for AT&T USA, or, it doesn't really matter, and I should just download the one most recently released?.
Thanks.
Riz
Wrong forum dude, this goes in Q&A
I use Omega ROM. Works fine for me on ATT but then so did stock. Download Fast Dormancy I9300 and turn off Dormancy.
Side note: there is also an AT&T specific forum section for the gn2

I would love to help you, but help yourself first: ask a better question

Not necessarily. There's a good amount of cross traffic. Just wanted to make sure OP knew about all resources.

Must say I'm not digging the presumption of ignorance on my part
I think I asked the question as clearly as I could for a non-native English speaker. I had done the pre-requisite searches before. Posted the question in the N7100 forum (though initially in the wrong sub-forum initially, corrected by the mods - thanks).
No amount of cross-traffic between different forums would mean an AT&T or T-Mobile rom would work on an international N7100.
The question is: "So, the question is, from the SamMobile website, which specific CSC version would be better for AT&T USA, or, it doesn't really matter, and I should just download the one most recently released?."
Again, I'm not throwing a rant, or trying to show attitude - apologies if it comes across that way.

It's probably been asked before but....

So, I got a Verizon GNex (toro) today and for some reason I feel like I walked into a spider web and I have no clue what to do with it. I'm wanting to definitely get it off of stock and on to CM 10.1... can anyone direct me with a simple post on where to go for a nice stable build of CM10.1 that will get me all the great JB greatness of 4.2.x? (Sorry for the noobish post but I think after an hour of looking I'm more confused as where to start than where I began!)
Not really a problem lol, welcome to the forums! CM10.1 is not in "stable" stages yet, but the nightlies for the galaxy nexus devices are fully functional. Here's where you can find them: http://get.cm/?device=toro
Again, welcome and maybe if you take a peak in the development forums for the toro you'll find something you like more. Just don't start threads in there with questions, lol.

No one is going to hold your hand here or any other place.
It looks like you actually do know a bit more than you are letting on, so why not spend a couple hours here,
do some exploration and I can guarantee that all four of your questions will be answered in great detail.
P.S. you might start off by reading the forum rules...

I understand. I am just confused as to where exactly to look/ or what to look at. There is a lot of people that use technical stuff or abbreviation here that I have no idea what it means. Also there is threads where I am confused as to if something will work on my phone or not. Hence my question for the 4.1.2 version because most I saw was done for 4.1.1.
Lazy as hell ,read on.

Lions & Tigers & Roms Oh My!!!

Hello to all, I have been looking over so many roms it can be overwhelming, I am looking for some help in finding a good stable ROM that will be on KitKat 4.4.2 for my T-Mobile SGH-M919 that I am running on a different carrier by the way actually AIO Wireless which runs off of AT&T Towers.
Would be nice to find one that has features like call recording and lots of customization's and maybe some Variants from the new Galaxy S5 or Note 3.
Im currently running Hyperdrive but having lots of issues with it although it is an awesome Rom,
So if you will, any recommendations from you Pro's and Newbies alike as I am still a Newbie myself I would greatly appreciate some feedback as to finding a good stable ROM
Also would like to know what is a good Kernel to use I flashed Ktoonsez Kernel and when I boot up I get this message on the top left "Kernel is not seandroid enforcing set warranty bit" can someone tell me what that is all about, as I do notice problems with applications and other things.
So what so you guys recommend please please please any help is so greatly appreciated
Thanks so much:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
