Ripple effect causing loco screen cloudiness - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

So for starters I'm running Macksrom revived updated to ma7 with the all-in-one.zip and I haven't tweaked or changed anything in weeks but all of a sudden tonight I go to unlock my phone and I notice my lock screen had become cloudy around the edges (see attached), I am using the stock lockscreen with ripple effect and ink effect turned on, when I turn off ripple effect it looks fine again and my home screen is fine too. Has anyone seen this before and have a fix?

This is well known. It's just the way Samsung designed it.

I guess I just didn't notice it, okay thank you

Lockscreen pictures very washed out when using the 'Ripple' unlock...

I'm sure most have noticed this. Any picture I choose for the lockscreen when using the 'Ripple' unlock effect is kind of blurry and really washed out. I'm assuming that it's because of the ripple effect overlay but it's a HUGE bummer for me. It really makes the lockscreen look dull. But I am so enamored with the ripple unlock.
Has anyone possibly found a way to remedy this? I have ended up using WidgetLocker in place of the stock lockscren because of this. While I like WidgetLocker, I'd like to use the TW lockscreen and get the icons and missed message alerts.
I know this probably seems so nitpicky but it never hurts to ask just in case someone has a workaround...
Thanks in advance...
When using a TW based ROM, I always use a lock screen wallpaper with lighter colors. The overlay isn't that noticeable this way. I'm pretty sure there isn't a way to get rid of it unless you disable the ripple effect.

[Q] Washed Out Screen? [Jellybean]

So I installed a stock rooted Jellybean ROM & upgraded from ICS. I did not erase any of my settings/apps/etc. I simply updated using ODIN on my computer.
Jellybean is running fine, however I have noticed that the colors are washed out on the lock & home screens. I searched around and found only 1 user experiencing this issue & someone's solution was to disable the ripple effect. Doing that does solve the washed out color on the lock screen, but I shouldn't have to disable this when it worked on ICS. Disabling ripple didn't fix the faded home screen color.
Anyone having this problem and/or know a real solution other than to disable an animation effect?
I just updated and am noticing the same thing. Have you found a solution?

[REQUEST] Old Ripple Lock screen

Hi, i was wondering if anyone can provide the "old" ripple effect lockscreen, ever since JB, there's a whitish tint on the left side of the lockscreen, which becomes noticable when using a dark lockscreen wallpaper. There's nothing wrong with my screen, when I unlock it or disable the ripple effect, the tint's gone :/

No tint here.
old ripple lock screen also has tint screen
the tint was on the right lower zone
in jelly bean the tint shifted to left lower zone
believe me
I had tested with both iCS & JB
it is especially significant with black wallpaper

so, there's no way to get rid of it?
Hello,
I think the following screenshot shows the issue very clear:
Normally, the wallpaIper is fully in black, without any stains. Is it possible to solve this problem?
I don't know
maybe some developer could develop a MOD to fix it
I don't also like that tint
coz I used to use black wallpaper
now I can't use black because of that tint

Just untick ripple
Got the same thing when moved to 4.1...
First time I thought that had a problem. Then, read that disabling ripple effect wouldn't show that stain.
Miss the ripple!

It does? How do you enable it, that looks cool.
All I get is the ripple effect on mine, no ink.
settings-
lockscreen-
lockscreen options-
ripple effect checked, ink effect checked.
I don't see the option maybe I'm on cmenards rom?
Yeah I was on one of the Jedi ROMs and it wasnt in it, either. But stock its there.
Arg, bummer! Wonder why wasn't included in the rom?

its already on my stock t-mo 4.1.1 you have to use the spen though
Awesome. You have to have Screen Lock to SWIPE so you can see the Lock Screen options. And yes, it only works with the S-Pen.

[Q]Mod for water effect in lockscreen

I noticed that water effect for stock rom's lockscreen also add a sort of stains to the selected wallpaper (try with dark wallpapers). Is there any way to remove this, but keeping water effect?
Thanks
This is called the ink effect. I believe on a stock ROM you can't separate the 2.
However I'm using the latest Omega rom which has the option not only to turn off the ink effect but you can also select what colour you want the ink effect to be
So yes it's possible to have the water effect without the ink effect pending what rom you're using.

I know what he means
He doesn't mean the ink effect. ..
With the ripple effect, black wallpaper on lockscreen became a little bit white.....
