Bluetooth music info(AVRCP 1.3) - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hello, I have a sprint galaxy nexus and I would like to know how I can get bluetooth info working on my car's radio. I know the radio will display info because it does work with the iphone 5. If anyone knows of a way to make it work(my preferred solution as I really like my current rom - jbsourcery 5.1) or a rom that it works on that would be very helpful.
Thank you

[Q] Bluetooth A2DP/Track Titles

I searched and couldn't find another thread about this so here goes...
Got a new bluetooth car stereo and my music and calls sound great, but my EVO doesn't transfer the track title/artist/album info to the stereo for some reason. I know it's not the stereo itself as my friend paired his BlackBerry and it showed the track titles. Tried this in stock music app, DoubleTwist, PowerAMP and unrooted on 2.2 and rooted w/CM7. Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Possibly just answered my own question but if anyone can confirm that would be great...it looks like the EVO only supports AVRCP v1.0 so far?? And if so, is there any way to upgrade the BT profile to 1.3 or 1.4 to allow for metadata transfer? Again, thanks in advance.
Yeah... the evo bluetooth profiles fail.
I'm currently using PowerAmp and love it...I know that metadata xfer is and has been working for stock player for a while, but does anyone know if this feature is available on any ROM besides AOKP? They're dropping support for us :crying:

If you're using a new phone with bluetooth 4.0, AVRCP 1.3, metadata transfer will not work until the music player devs update their programs. A rooted phone may work. For non rooted we are at the mercy of the devs, and poweramp has been promising an update for over a year now.

[Q] Bluetooth headset not working with Android Revolutin HD 5.1.x for calls

Hello everybody,
I've installed the latest version of mike's Android Revolution HD (5.1.11) ROM (and the 5.1.x versions before). Before I used version 3.x of Revolution HD.
Since I use version 5.1.x, I'm no more able to use my bluetooth headset for phone calls. Even though the headset is set as default, it is not used.
If I try to change the device while doing a call it is also using the internal mic and speaker. Listening to music via bluetooth headset is working fine.
With version 3.x everything was working fine.
Is there anything I can do?
Many thanks in advance!

I, too, am having problem with bluetooth headset not working.
I wasnt allowed to post inside the developers area coz am a newbie. Sorry if i dont know where else to post so again sorry in advance... am all new to the android world (1st time getting an android fone SG Note2 and then 1st time flashing a ROM (AR HD 5.0)).
My problem is when im trying to use any kind of bt stereo headset it just wont work. Ive paired/unpaired/paired again but still no go. Tried using the BT stereo headset to other smartphones and all go.
I havent installed any multimedia apps that might mess up the recently installed/flashed AR HD 5.0.
Can anyone please help me. Ive tried reading/scanning the developer's forum thread but cant seem to find any workaround here....
Please please dont scorn me for being so stupid about the bt issue that im having...
Any help would really really be appreciated.... so to those that will try to help me out... many thanks in advance....
***If someone who could reach out to mike the kind sir who developed AR HD 5.0 for Galaxy Note 2...please relay our issue...***

Bluetooth and Galaxy Nexus

Hi guys, question. My Nexus plays music through my aftermarket stereo fine through bluetooth but my annoyance is that the info doesn't show up. ie artist name, songs etc. While my ipod shows it all. I've read that it's just bluetooth firmware on the stereo/iphone/android but it's still such a pain in the a** that Iphone has the benefits while Android being better doesn't get as much. =( My question is do any bluetooth guru's out there know of a workaround or way to have info show up. My next step is trying different players etc.
The data needs to be sent by the application playing the music. I've found that Apollo will send this data to the screen on my 2012 Civic, the stock player does not.
I think certain ROMs have the latest bluetooth firmware. I think CM9 does? Not positive. I would also like to know if there was some way to update the firmware, on any ROM.

My phone pairs to the car bluetooth phone no problem, but will not pair to audio.

4.2.2 ROM with 4G/LTE and Bluetooth AVRCP?

Does anyone know of a 4.2.2 ROM that has working 4G/LTE and supports Bluetooth AVRCP?
(I.e., when you play music in car over bluetooth, you get artist/track info on your dash.)
Last I checked only TW had this, CM was working on it ...
AVRCP for 4.2 roms
Same issue for me as well. Using the recent version of Liquidsmooth hoping it had it but not so much. Such a Debbie downer in the car especially when your ROM kicks ass. The quest continues.

Bluetooth Issue's with Garmin Vivosmart

Not sure anyone will be able to help with this appreciate its a long shot, i've bought a Garmin Vivosmart fitness tracker and it connects to the phone via Bluetooth, now it all works mint except if i go out of range with the bluetooth the phone and garmin are supposed to reconnect automatically but it doesn't i have to unpair and then repair which isn't the end of the world but is a pain in the backside, looking on the garmin forums lots of people with M8's saying the same so there seems to be an issue with the way HTC - Garmin bluetooth works, some phones seem to work perfect (as in other android phones) so it doesn't seem a generic android-garmin issue, just wondering if anyone has had the same issue with any other bluetooth equipment and managed to find a cure ?
also if anyone know if custom roms mess about with bluetooth and the way it works, tempted to try an AOSP rom or CM to see if the bluetooth works properly but i do like sense so would prefer to stick with what i got, using Insertcoins Sense 7 rom, might go back to official sense 6 and see if that works also...
thanks for any suggestions...

It worked fine for me with KitKat.
Friday evening I upgraded to LolliPop. (Did a clean install, no data restore from backup)
Since then I have the same problem. Once you lose your Bluetooth connection it won't reconnect anymore.
You have to unpair and the repair in order to be connected again. A real pain in the ass, as I use it only for the notifications on the bracelet.
I have had a Vivosmart since the week they came out. I had a lot of the BT issues the first few months (mainly due to their software being released before it was really production ready) but has been fine since. I'm rooted and have ran a few different roms without an issue. Currently I'm using SkyDragon's Sense 7 rom. I haven't had to pair to my phone due to disconnects for at least a couple months. Are you pairing from with-in the Connect app? At one time the pairing was done via the regular android BT devices but they got rid of that and now pair from the app only. So technically your Vivosmart shouldn't ever show up on the list of installed/connected BT devices because it's only paired from the Connect app. I'm sure you've been on the garmin forum but if you haven't or someone else reading this hasn't it's here https://forums.garmin.com/forumdisplay.php?478-vivosmart. I've seen posts over there about m8 users having problems but don't remember reading if anyone was able to get the problem fixed and what they did. It doesn't make sense that it works for some (like me).
Hello,
I have same problem with Garmin Fenix 3. Apparently there is some bug in HTC ONE M8 Android 5.0.1
I am able to connect and connection is quite stable but watch wont reconnect automatically.
Usually it will reconnect once you reset BT on phone and than on watch. But its quite annoying so I am also looking for solutions. Any idea? Ive tried to add watch to trusted device under smart lock but its not working either. I know most Garmin devices worked on previous version of android on HTC ONE M8 but with Lollipop its bugged..

G'day wakers,
I have had exactly the same problem with my m8. I also have only used insertcoin rom which may be part of the problem as I have an identical m8 with stock lollipop (never unlocked or rooted) and it has no problems with the vivosmart or Garmin Fenix BLE connection.
I have since sold my m8 and traded up to an m9, which is still stock, but I'm reluctant to flash custom Rom as the Bluetooth works perfectly... On the other hand, stock roms drive me mental with bloatware and ads.
If you try another Rom I'd be very interested to hear how you go...as it may give me some confidence to unlock my brand new m9.
Cheers.

I'm experiencing an even worst problem with no pairing at all with my fenix 3 and Garmin Connect with Cyanogenmod 12.1 .
I've done the test with a Samsung SII, Oneplus X and Oneplus One. All pairing fail and all with Cyanogenmod 12.1
It's working well with a Samsung Galaxy S5 ! So if one Cyanogenmod developper is reading this, can you please let us know if this bug is known, or if you can log it, and i can help some troubleshooting as well.

Solution found on my side by realizing that one dialog box is not scaled in Garmin Connect and so the "yes" button is not visible in material design. I've understood this by rolling back to Cyanogenmod 11 and see the process.
Workaround is to use a language with shorter words like english. My initial set was in French. So if it can help somebody else with Garmin Connect, use it
