Can anyone tell me how to SuperCID the Galaxy Note 2? I would like to use ROMs from the Galaxy S4.
There's no Super CID with Samsung, that's an HTC thing afaik. You'll probably have to wait for the S4 ROMS to be ported. I don't understand the logic of flashing another phone model's ROM, different hardware, different screen size and resolution, risk bricking or loss of IMEI number. Just wait for developers to port it.

And if I remembered right, super cid was only to flash different countries of the same phone and firmware. . And yes had to check to make sure things still matched up so you wouldn't brick

Hi, i have one question :
Where is the difference from TIM gs3 And gs3 I9300, because i have see two/trhee different categories of this device; ( T-Mobile, Wind, Mobilicity, Videotron Samsung Galaxy S III OR Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 OR Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III) )
What version of ROM Cooked i Can Install? how i can know what type is my GS3 ?
i can install this ROM [ROM][XXDLIB][28Sep]Soon Omega v27.1●►Omega Files Kitchen◄●Jelly Bean+ICS●►7 Theme ?
THANKS
I9300 is the international version and that ROM is for that version.
SGH-T999 is the T-Mobile version.
SPH-L710 is the Sprint version.
Go to about device or about phone and it should tell you under phone model.
Always make sure the ROMs that you want are compatible with your version or carrier and Do not flash ROMs for different versions unless you want to brick.

Install the ROMs made for your phone, unless you want a brick. How hard is that to understand?

Maybe he's new to this, no need for rude comments. All you have to do is point him to the right direction, not everyone knows everything about rooting and flashing ROMs.

I'm new to the gs3 just moved on from the HTC sensation. I have a question. Can we use the same roms from the international gs3 on this one? Sorry if this has been asked just couldn't find it

No

Only flash ROMs made for the specific carrier. If you flash an international ROM onto a T-Mobile galaxy s3, your phone will be hard bricked and the only way to unbrick it is to get it JTAG'd, which can cost around 60$.

U can't flash any of the international version roms, but the stateside variants are flashable..
sent from GS3 disguised as a GNote2
most ATT roms should be directly compatible with little effort for our tmo GS3. However, do not flash an ATT modems, that will brick your phone for sure.
I also recommend you use TWRP, seems to be less issues with it. good luck and welcome
I suggest you stick to flashing only what you find in this forum. At least until you have had time to get used to your new device. You will run into quite a few conflicting reports on what does or doesn't work well with this phone. Give it time and you will figure out for yourself which are right and which are wrong.
We have plenty of roms and a number of ports from the other carriers so it really shouldn't be necessary to go flashing anything from somewhere else.
Use the other forums for reference, ideas, and learning more about your phone. If you find a mod or app you want to try, just ask if your not confident about it.
Good luck and welcome!
Oh, just fyi, the reports about the i9300 and i9305, are correct! Do NOT flash any roms or mods built for those! Guaranteed Brick!!

Hey my friends. I just wanted to know if I can install springs new update into my att galaxy s3. I know it was not possible to install european version of premium suite becuz European and american variants have different hardwares but now ...I mean two similar phones. If I install it through odin , would it be a problem for my galaxy s3. Why I asked this , let me explain. Im using sprint version of synergy rom and my phones model number happened to be sprints model number and I have really no problem about my phone. It works great. So I thought mybe I can install sprints premiym suite update ?
Not sure if this is what your talking about but this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2247899 includes the latest Premium Suite from Sprint.
What I mean is that what if I install sprint's firmware(official) into my at&t variant of galaxy s3. All the hardwares are the same , but I wanred to ask if anybody knows any risk of it

Hi! I wonder can we install rom like I9505XXUAMDM on T-mobile or AT&T version? all of them used cpu qualcomm S600.
I thought of and deleted several asinine responses to this.
My final answer: NO.
But I'm just a random guy who doesn't like to do things which I'm pretty sure from reading the experiences of others will brick a phone. If you want to be another object lesson of what not to do by all means flash that ROM and let us know how it goes for you.
You could try it out for us. Only thing I wouldn't flash is the modem.bin, so if the zip you wanna flash has it, delete it before you go thru with it.
I also want to know this... I wouldn't be surprised if it were possible barring the modem from the i9505. I really want to debrand my phone.
^^^ you guys are dicks. Don't do it, it WILL brick your phone.

Bullsh!t, they have the same chipset. Once again, it would be fine as long as you don't flash the modem.bin
The i9500 is a different story.
Then, by all and any means flash your phone with the international ROM. Pop back in here afterwards and let us know how it went.

With my tmobile note 2 I could flash n7105 roms because they had same chips. . Just couldnt flash modem.. im assuming its the same with this phone.

Hello
I wonder if i can flash sprint rom on at&t note 2
Thanks for all the answer
only if you want to mess up your phone...
Yea be carefull flashing Roms thats is not for your device model. If I were to flash another Rom ft a different carrier I would stay with Tmobile, Att, and gt n7105. Alot of times modems aint included in the rom or you will have an option in Aroma to Retain Modem. Another thing is you might lose LTE flashing Sprint or Verizon Roms because there CDMA and yours is GSM. I would just stick to your own device forums. Or atleast stay on the GSM/LTE Side (7105-i317-t889)
