Well I am using them together and did not see any ill effect. DS Battery Saver works only when the phone is not in use and forces the phone to deepsleep. However, Greenify works even when you are using your phone, so not only will it help you save battery, but frees your RAM too. For example, if you greenified say Google+, in principle Google+ will not run in the background as long as you do not want it.
So you can use them together. No harm.

I currently have Stock ICS and I notice battery isnt so good when compared to GB. Are there any mods to improve battery, cause I cant find any. Please reply and thanks in advance!
You can try Juice Defender or Tasker! Both of them can help you!

Does it actually work? Ive used Go PowerManager and the original Power Saver app for the device but it doesnt really work as expected.
i have stock ICS 4.0.4 (or arconium ICS) with KTG anzu kernel v1.41 and i get good battery life when using my phone
maybe go back to GB
Its all about usage, the best thing to do turn screen brightness down and turn off data and wifi.

As Smartarse93 said, it depends on the usage . With tasker you can reduce the usage automatically when you are not using your phone or when the screen is off!
Try tasker and see how it works!

I have noticed there are so many battery saving apps on the Playstore but do you have any reccomendations for a good one

Just install greenify. I have tried plenty before I had Note II, they've had little effect and I often had issues with many of them. If needed use power saving mode + greenify. Why, are you getting crappy battery life?
If your rooted install Redpill Kernel no need of any apps ,
Again for Greenify you need root but this is also suggested app ,
If your not rooted , You could try Juice Defender Ultimate from Playstore.
I'm not actually the battery life on the Note II is very good probably one of the best out there on a mobile phone, was just enquiring

All these apps are a bit useless to be honest. The most important thing is just to set your brightness manually, enable/disable all the functionalities like GPS/W-FI/BlueTooth etc only when needed. Also setting your mail-account to sync once in the 2/3 hours, instead of 15 minutes helps alot also. If you are rooted, you could also remove some Samsung/Android Apps that basically do nothing apart from using battery.
A app to close the processes of application will help also. But if you want to try a battery-save app. JuiceDefender Ultimite for Rooted Users, GreenPower Premium for non-rooters.
Greenify.
You won't need anything else.

What does juice defender except turning off the data when screen is off ? If it's only that you can also do it manually.
Greenify is useful for lot of user and app which use data or process even if you disable synchro like facebook.

i installed greenify the other day and hibernate fb. but it was draining my battery when the phone was supposed to be sleeping. i then removed it and its back to normal.
just my 2 cents. xD

I was so lazy to say this. Good thing. Thanks!
Well another point of these Battery-Saving apps. They could make your phone unstable. You can set manually the sync times for Facebook, E-mail , Weather Apps etc. Greenify works pretty good. It is basically a program to put the processes on the background on hold. When you use that application , it restores fast the proces (where it was). Handy for FB etc yes. Although sometimes you can see a small delay (hick-up) when you open a app that was Greenified.

If i have 2g on, i barely lose battery when the phone is in deep sleep. when i leave the phone at nite and wake up in the morning i lose like 1% or 2% max. but with greenify every time i was leaving the phone in deep sleep, i was losing like 2% per hour.
i will try uninstall greenify
Ok looks like Greenify will only work with rooted phones so looks like I cannot use it

As im installing seeder and also Greenifying many battery hog apps, the thought ran across ..do I actually wanna greenify seeder, or should it be left to run .
Would hibernating it affect it on wakelock, Obviously you don't wana have to restart seeder every time you want to use it... but id like to just have it run when the device is being used.
So if I greenify it will that be ok or render that app useless?
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda app-developers app
First run Better Battery Stats and see if it's actually an issue. No point in greenifying it if it's not causing many wakelocks.
Im not sure what im looking at in better batt stats or what it all means ..
All I know is this is my 3rd s4
And the only one of the 3 that has stupid bad battery life... my last two were stellar.
Its so bad its comparable to galaxy s2 batt life.
Should I unroot and odin stock??
Or get a new battery the phones only 2 days old.
I watch the percentage drain like a percent every 3 min.

Turn off auto brightness and leave it at like 50%
Turn of vibration for keyboard and touches
Underclock the CPU
Turning of sync and hibernating apps you dont use with greenify
I have fantastic battery life from my phone. I have tasker set up so that autosync only activates when the phone is charging. I also used Titanium Backup to freeze or remove apps I don't use. I even looked at the Running Apps part to further improve the things I could freeze. I routinely get 24 hours out of my One.
Speaking of battery saving, what is the best kit Kat ROM for battery life?
So the stock ota 4.3 is awesome for performance and smoothness , but for battery it is absolutely horrible, even with a rooted phone and a 7000 extended battery im only getting about a day and 12 hours with about 8ish hours of screen time, then when i was on 4.1.2 i was getting 2 days 12 hours with 15+ish hours of screen time
Im using the same apps as before , greenify , deep sleep battery , mediaserver killer, and wake lock and everything looks normal like 4.1.2 but draining way way faster
Side note i also turned off all my notifications , turned off vibration, turned all gps, locations, off, brightness all the way down, sync is off that dont seem to help
Anyone else notice this or is just me? Anything i could be missing that i should check

I'm getting the same battery life as I was on 4.1.2 I do not use greenify or any other monitoring apps of any kind as they are monitoring all the time which does take resources aka BATTERY to monitor I'm also on stock kernel and I tried the decimalman kernel and for me that provided a faster performance with conservative governor bit way worse battery life. Maybe your battery is going bad...

exactly, I charge mine like once every 24-30 hours and it's rooted on the stock 4.3 ota...remove all those monitoring apps, they're quite pointless.
I use the following rooted apps: adaway 2.8, titanium pro/donate version, clean master, system cleaner, root browser, cache cleaner ng
I ripped out all the Google stock apps like books, games, news, etc. I freeze Facebook cause that eats a lot of battery and only defrost for certain times...I use the browser for my email, Facebook, Amazon, even here like now lol
maybe you'll wanna try the kitkat 4.4.2 nightly rom? more battery friendly too, I have all files up to date and instructions to install it in my rooting 4.3 stock guide if you wanna check it out...totally safe to use
