[Q] Desire HD Bricked after Ace Hack Kit downgrade and root.

Earlier I downgraded my Telus Desire HD from software 3.xx to 1.xx successfully. I know that because I did not have sense 3.0 anymore. I then proceeded to root the device it said everything went ok. After all that, I go on to boot and the HTC logo shows up and the fades off into a black screen and just hangs there.
I tried going into recovery but it shows the HTC logo and then switches to a black screen.
Anyone have any suggestions on how the fix this?

you tried to turn it completly off hold volume down and get in hboot?
you can restore it there by just putting an pd98.img on your sd

I am trying that right now, hopefully it works.
EDIT: WOW. Thanks a lot! I restored and tried rooted again. It worked.

Just want to say thanks to the OP for creating this thread, and those that assisted him.
Ive wasted a night trying to fix my phone.. only to locate this thread and fix my desire hd...

[Q] [HELP] PrimoS-v3

hi, i've just flashed PrimoS-v3.3, booted my phone and i'm stuck..can't do anything on the main screen because i've got the transparent stuff saying "Pull down to see notifications...Press....."
I've got a cross on the top bottom of the monitor but it doesnt work..
Anyone, help?! :\

Pull the batter reboot if it doesn't solve do a fullwipe and reinstall...

Dude i've done what u said, i formatted everything, now the phone doesnt boot :x ...
When trying to boot into recover, power+up volume all i got is a blinking red light :x

so i managed to flash the rom again, and i think now it's working!

i tried to install this rom on my dhd.i make full wipe and install,but when i reboot.i see htc logo and after the blacvk screen.Anyone can help for me?

wifi disconnects when open Facebook app
When I open Facebook app after few sec's wifi disconnects. It's like ON but not scanning and there are no available networks.
I must restart to be in normal.
Anyone else have this problem.
I'm on a 3.3 and DHD

3.3 version slow processing speed

On 3.3 during call when the screen is off volume buttons regulate Media volume instead In-call volume.

be sure that you have s-off and bootloader unlocked in the mean time this rom is a port so i suggest you try a normal rom while this rom is still work in progress

Be sure that you never try to run S-OFF tools while your bootloader is unlocked...

Bricked Wildfire S

Hey Guys
Yesterday I wanted to upgrade my wildfire S
it had an Arabic Rom from HTC with Android 2.3.3
so i tried to flash the European Rom (RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.13.401.2_Radio_47.23a.35.3035H_7.53.39.03M_release_225747_signed.exe)
everything went OK then i noticed there is a newer version (RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.13.401.3_Radio_47.23c.35.3037_7.54.39.28M_release_236989_signed.exe)
so i go on with RUU and the flashing went well
BUT
when the phone rebooted it didnt boot and the screen was black and flickering with some white lines
now i can't reflash any rom , can't using RUU .... etc
Can Any one help me please, i bought my phone one week ago i don't want to lose it

The same happened to me exactly! I got the ROM from the web (the filename was OK, but the content wasn't.) I went ahead with the flash, now I have a Wildfire S which upon power on produces the following symptoms:
a.) flashes the red LED and a white line at the bottom of the screen blinks, then turnes the screen off, and starts the process in a cycle until the battery is removed
b.) does NOT vibrate or allows me to enter the HBOOT menu (POWER and VOL Down button).
The phone is S-ON (I checked it in the HBOOT before updating the RUU Rom on the phone) but SIM free.
So far the solution I found is to send it off and it'll be taken apart and RE-ROMmed. (Search for fonefunshop - bloody forum doesn't allow me to insert link)
There's a video of the procedure (with a HTC Desire) here: youtu.be /-awHNhxG480
Keep me posted if you find anyhting else helpful.

I just encountered the same problem, but the strange thing is that the very same file worked fine on another WildFire S which I've just completed setting up CM7.2 on.
RUU used: RUU_Marvel_S_HTC_Europe_2.13.401.3_Radio_47.23c.35.3037_7.54.39.28M_release_236989_signed.exe
Any luck finding out how it can be brought back to life?

Yea, that's fine and dandy if I could even get into HBOOT, no less fastboot... :/
From powered off state, turning it on, it immediately starts blinking as described earlier in this thread.

yeah..... well mine is back on s-on and when i boot it does a boot loop ( htc logo then turns off then htc logo again)
can some one tell me how to turn on usb debugging mode using pc....:crying:

What happens if you plug the USB into the PC and then quickly boot to hboot?
Also, since you have access to the Bootloader you should download a good copy of the rom. Remove the rom.zip from the ruu and then rename it to pg76img.zip and put it on your sdcard. Reboot to BootLoader and let it run the update.

Htc desire hd white screen problem

I have just baught my htc off ebay 3 days ago it is only 4 moths old and when i received it i tryed to update to 2.3 gingerbread through the phone not connected to the pc, and i left it on the white scren thinking it was working. i left it on charge whilst i slept i woke in the morning and its still like that?! the only way i can turn it off is pullin the battery once i turn it on i can get to the hboot menu all fine there no succes recovering, factory reset nothing so i left for wile with no battery still problem it only vibrates ONCE when i switch it on if that helps any advice on this? i have no idea was s-on/off is or RUU so please speak english to me

Check if it's S-ON or S-OFF by rebooting while holding power and volume-down. What does it say?

Hi i have my Desire hd is stuck on the white screen with Green HTC logo i cant do nothing if I press the power and volume down it wont do nothing my button was broken from the start I cant go to fast boot and if I connect my device to PC it wont read it I:crying: tried to reinstall htd drivers tried to use android flasher and the hack tool but still cant do nothing about it

Is it rooted? If so, AAHK or HTCDEV? Is it S-OFF? Is there a custom ROM on it? Have you updated your HTC drivers using AAHK specifically? What did you do to get it in that state?

the mobile is rooted using AAHK, S-OFF i used jelly time 22 and it was working good i tried to update another rom and thats when i get this problem it get stuck when I installed the 2nd Rom

So, what is the problem? flash a recovery if you don't have it and reflash a rom. Don't use the Hack Kit is not for you if you are already S-OFF.
Use the guide in my signature to guide yourself.

HTC Desire HD won't boot.. help!

Ok guys, I definitively need your help now.
This morning I woke up, i toke my phone (already on) and I saw that keyboard didn't work anymore, so I rebooted it and appeared the white screen with HTC LOGO, then three or four vibrations and BUM... FREEZED.
The phone is rooted, with custom rom. S-OFF.
The problem is that i can't enter into RECOVERY of the phone anymore, but I can still enter into BOOTLOADER. I tried to do a FACTORY RESET, but doesn't work (the display show again the htc logo with some vibrations before the freeze).
There is some way to format/repair with the help of PC ? Like when i changed my RADIO some weeks ago... or.. I don't know.

That sounds like a fried motherboard. Try flashing a RUU from fastboot usb. If after the flashing the phone keeps not booting, then your motherboard needs to be replaced.

Check or volume rocker/keys. On the mytouch 4g, when u press volume up and power key while phone is off, it vibrates and the notification light blinks red. So maybe or volume up key is stuck.
