I just recently bought a SmartTV and I want to use my phone as a TV remote and be able to send media. I have CM10 but after I downloaded Allshare from the Play Store and tried to ran it, it crashed. Is it possible to run it?

is there any working apk of allshare for the GNex?
SKIFTA app

doubleTwist AirSync? Not sure if that is what you might need.
2Player is awesome
has anyone tried the AllShare apps ripped from the SGS-III?
I would be interested to see if they could work (think it came with 3 different ones?) and If there is a certain order you need to install them...? Ill try and find them and report back. Just checking to see if anyone has had any luck?
edit: Found them, there are 4 apps of the sort on the SGS-III...
AllshareDMC.apk
AllshareMediaServer.apk
AllSharePlay.apk
AllshareService.apk
I'll try and play with them tonight and see if I can sync with my Sammy smart tv
Ok, only AllSharePlay would install and it gave me a FC every time I tried to open.
I wonder if I am missing some lib files that normally go along with the apk's?
Need to look closer into the system dump... :-(

Thank you for your suggestion
for me: official xbmc really helped me a lot since my lcd (that do not have DLNA) are connected to my PC through HDMI (also plex have very potential for local/online streaming)
thus my solution for streaming from phone to LCD : local synced folder (sync media between my phone & PC)
OK, so this dev over on rootxwiki posted a deodexed version of the SGS3 stock Vzw rom and I grabbed the allshare files from it.
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/29656-rom-stock-vzw-rooted-deodexed-zipaligned/
Same result, allshareplay was the only one that wanted to install (on Pete's BB 4.1.1) and would FC every time. Previously on AOKP so I doubt the "new" rom is causing the issue. Probably needs some lib files to go along with the apk or something? Any ideas???
What's with the obsession with allshare? Allshare is bloatware there's imediashare that does so much more and there's skifta among others. Give them all a try and see what you like. Forget allshare.
Have you looked at ArrMC application?

I have been following a thread in the Kindle Fire HD forum about getting this .apk to work on other tablets. A poster wrote that he denied it su permission and it worked on his tablet. I tried it on my GNex and it worked!
What I found interesting is that when I went to watch a movie from a channel it had the option to "watch on Phone". This is interesting because the .apk recognizes that it is not the kindle fire hd and is a PHONE.
I also looked in my play store and it shows that I have the Optimum DVR Manager installed (which I do not). So I went to open the DVR Manager from the play store and it opened the Optimum3.0.apk. This tells me that the Optimum3.0.apk might be close to launching publicly on the play store soon!
Big news for any Optimum/Cablevision subscribers!
Hey so you got a link for it?

Hello, i have been looking for allshare play's apk but i can't seem to find it anywhere. I recently installed omega v34 rom and there i unchecked many apps(even though a lot of them still installed) and allshare play was one of them. Now i got a samsung tv and want to use it and the control app(needs allshare framework). I tried getting the apk from a stock rom but with no success. If someone would be kind enough to help with this problem and send the needed files.
Thanks in advance.

I wrote that allshare control needs allshare play framework. It just crashes when you try to run it, says it needs allshare play framework.
re-install omega rom.

Im running UltraLight Rom 2.2 and it doesnt have AllShare installed. Do I only need to pull the AllShare Play apk, or do I need to grab all of the files marked with AllShare from a ROM from the /system/app folder?
I would like to be able to stream videos from my home network to my device while Im not connected to my WIF (away from home). Unless someone is familiar with Smoothwall Linux Firewall and is willing to help walk me through setting up a VPN lol.

when you open the play store it should tell you there is an update for allshare. just install the update and it will work fine. i left a small piece of allshare so people could do this that needed it.

Sweet, got it going, thanks!
I have a brand new panasonic TV streamer that does miracast and DLNA, and also a roku. I want to be able to mirror my S4 to one of those devices, but I cant seem to make it work. I know youre supposed to buy the samsung dongle but that seems like a waste of money. I CAN use an app called 'Beam' that will let me choose online videos from youtube, vimeo, or any other website and stream them to my panasonic TV streamer or roku. So I know the S4 can see and stream content to both devices, but I want to be able to stream my entire phone and not just videos. Does anyone have any idea of how I would be able to do this? I am rooted. I would VERY much appreciate any help.
