Phone stopped working? - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
I've had my note 2 since october, and today went to unlock it noticed nothing was happening.
I removed the battery and reinserted nothing.
When I plug it into the charger, the red light flashes every so often.
Just completely out of the blue...
Anyone know whats up? I really don't want to have to wait 2-3 weeks for another phone from Phones 4 U.

Can you get into recovery or download mode? As long as you can do one of those it should be ok

[Q] Xperia Ion Bricked?

Hi guys, this is sort of a last resort thing and I've read the thread with "Xperia Ion bricked. Any fix?".
Basically, I was doing the battery callibration (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1760207&highlight=battery) and so did the power + volume up button. I did this around 3 times as it went from 95% to 98% then I was expecting it to go up but it stayed at 98% so I decided to do it once more. However, instead of usually vibrating, the screen just instantly went off. Tried to power up but it didn't work. Took it off from the charger and tried all button combinations (power + volume up/down) and still to no avail.
Then I put it in the wall charger again and the LED seems to have a faint orange light coming when charging so I know it's actually charging... Then I thought it may be possible that for some reason, the battery is drained and followed the "Xperia Ion bricked. Any fix?" http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771106. After around 15 minutes, the faint orange LED vanished and so I took it off the charger, did the button combinations again and didn't do anything. I put it back in the charger and see the faint orange LED...
Now it's just charging and I don't know what to do Is my beloved Ion bricked? I just got it a month ago :crying: what should I do with it?
Tried plugging it in the computer and PC Companion didn't see my device
Also I live in the UK and I got the phone from Indonesia... It still has a years guarantee but I can't go spend £500 for a ticket just to fix my phone
I'm extremely desperate, please help!
Hold power + volume up wait for one vibrate, keep holding both you should then get three vibrates in a row now turn it on normally, mine kinda did the same thing and I did this

At worst you will need to follow the Soft Brick Steps thread instructions.

Is the phone on? Meaning it's using power in some way (led on, screen is black but on, button lights stay on)? If so you may need to drain the battery, if the reset trick isn't working. Once the battery is dead (this can take up to 24 hours) and it shuts off, try charging it. Do not turn it on till it's charged more than halfway.

The phone is not on at all, the screen is not on, buttons not lighted or on and everything is like it's shut down. I've left it for like 24 hours now and I put it on charge just now, the situation is the same (( what do you think it is? I really hope I can fix it with patience since I've been patient since yesterday. Thanks for the reply but when I charge, the screen stays blank and the LED is not red, it is a slightly faint orange :/
Thanks again

Thanks for replying uchiha but I've put the phone on charge overnight which was like 8 hours and the light just goes. I'm still having this problem. I wish I could go to the sony store but I can't cause the Ion doesn't and will not come out in the UK and they have no parts for it. For now, I'll just leave it on charge for the whole day and see what happens.
Have you tried getting it to shut off then putting it in flashmode with flashtool ready to flash a ftf? Flashmode is USB+ volume down

The thing is it's not on in the first place, the screen has no backlight, no sony logo or nothing, it is as if it is shut down! I have tried to put it in flashmode with flashtool, it doesn't detect any device whatsoever! If anyone has a solution please help
I had the same problem with the x10 mini of my wife. I have solve that when I unpluged the battery connector to be sure the photo is off. After I used seus to restaure stock rom. Try this method.
I think it is possible to remove or unplug the battery.

I found something funny that my phone does, when on charge and it is left for around 20-25 minutes, the red/orange LED flashes ONCE and then there is no more LED lighting or flashing... It's really weird, I don't know what to do :/

The ion battery CAN'T be remove no matter what...and to TS,if your phone still can't be turn on,try to let the battery completely drain, and leave it like that for 1 hour, and after that try to charge back...
I afraid your phone thought it was 'on' but the screen is 'off' like my old x10 Mini Pro which when I turn on,it vibrate and on (yep, alive) but the screen is black BUT I can feel the touch and the vibration of the phone. To fix the problem,I remove my phone battery for 10 minutes and turn it on again, after that it works perfectly...

New phone, screen is blank

I just received my new phone via UPS a couple of hours ago. The sim card was already in it, I popped the battery in, and I turned the phone on. The AT&T chime played but the screen never lit up. The capacitive buttons will light up and make a sound when touched, but the screen is still dead. I've had it plugged in for over an hour and the screen still won't light up. I've restarted it, removed and replaced the battery and the sim card several times and no dice.
Did any of you have to fully charge the phone the first time you started it up before the screen would come on? Definitely sounds like a dumb question to me since I've never needed to fully charge any new phone I've ever had before I could use it, but I figured I'd ask in case this is a weird new feature. I'll leave it charge overnight and if it still isn't working, I'll make my way to the store hoping they still have stock.
Did your phone sit out in cold weather at all?

Hard bricked from playing a game???

Okay so there I was minding my own business playing The Room on my i747, plugged into a 100% working wall charger. Next thing I know it just shuts off....
Wierd, thought maybe it was a random restart, but this is CM10.1 M2, I've never had one on this rom...
Go to turn the phone back on, feel the vibrate and a couple seconds later feel the vibrate like it started booting all over again... then a couple more seconds and the same thing.
Tried a battery pull, no luck, recovery and download, no luck. What now? Am I screwed.
Are you trying to power it on while it's plugged in?

Galaxy S3 suddenly died

Hello Guys!
Yesterday my phone was low on battery after i talked to someone. I forgot to put it on charge and just left it there. I picked it up later and it wasn't turning on so I thought the battery is dead so i plugged in the charger but the red light didnt turn on. I put in my second battery which is charged but the phone is still not turning on. I tried download mode but nothing works. I plugged it into PC but the pc doesn't recognize it because its dead.
My phone fell before and digitizer broke which i replaced.
I was wondering what happened and what I can do.
My phone:
Galaxy S3 T-mobile SGH-T999 rooted running latest dandroid I've had it for 1 year and 4 months.
You can try the debrick thread.. But first try to just leave it plugged in for at least 15 minutes to see if there's still no signs of life

Is it seen in device manager? If it says QHSUSB_DLOAD you are hard bricked.

SM-P605 cannot charge

Greetings, I have a bit of an issue with my tablet and it's most likely a hardware one.
About two days ago I had my tablet completely discharged and I put it on the charger. I saw the battery and lightning screen and left it for about a day.
Then yesterday I wanted to watch a movie on it and so I reached for it and all it had was a black screen. I thought that it must have charged up completely, so I pulled it out of the charger and started it up.
It then went as far as the Samsung logo and 20-30 seconds afterwards it shut down. I thought that maybe my ROM became faulty or smth and tried to boot into TWRP. Same thing.
Booting into the Bootloader worked but at one point the screen started rapidly changing its brightness. And it again turned off after a couple of seconds.
I tried this several times, connecting it to the wall charger or my laptop but every time it turned on for only a couple of seconds and now it has completely died off. No matter with which cable, charger or power source I try to charge it, it doesn't light up at all. Power button and combinations with volume buttons don't do anything.
A bit of info about the device: It's about 2 years old running the latest LineageOS. Roughly 1 year ago it suffered a drop and the screen got cracked. I ended up buying a spare screen from China and gave it to a hardware specialist to install it. (Samsung doesn't really have representatives near me, so that was the easiest option) Ever since then the speakers have always been a lot quieter and worse-quality but everything else worked fine.
I believe that somehow the charging circuit fried itself and now the battery has died off. Is that even possible? I haven't charged it with any unknown wall chargers or anything that could fry it. Can someone please help me fix this problem since I have no idea where to start?
Thanks in advance...
You might want take a look to this topic of mine. Not exactly the same problem but the resolution might apply to yours as well.

Thanks for the suggestion, but your tablet can at least boot. Mine can't, which is the issue and it doesn't charge at all when off.
That's why I pointed you to open it and resettle all the cables, as I did. The problem is different but the solution might be the same...
