ahh well my download is taking forever (servers are slow i guess) so if you get the chance can you upload it please? im going to try a couple things to see if we can get the s4 framework to boot on the s3. if you'd like we can do a group effort type thing.

I think its the update script causing the problems if i had to guess i looked at it and i don't think it needs to mount the partition that you have in it. I have disected alot of files and don't remember seeing this partition being mounted like this to install apps. Just a guess though I am not a professional developer so I could be wrong.
Eh I tried. Maybe it just not gonna work... Maybe some else can port it.

OK. Progress report. Found the conflicting libs causing no-boot. Removed them for now, but that will cause a fc most likely. Its probably due to hardware. I'm going to merge the lib files later but just want to test the zip without them.

Yes. That was one of my plans. Thus mod should work better on the leak. I'll use all my porting knowledge to get it to work.

You're talking about the S3 ROM while this is the S2 thread, but to fix it just reflash the Omega ROM

Just got the 4.1.2 OTA a few mins ago... i was half asleep when my bro asked me to use my keys to move my car when i looked down and saw it... so i forgot to screen shot the file size... but its 100 & something MB... Ok so I put in my ExtSDcard installed replaced old S-voice . reboot into recovery ran permission fix . booted , tried running. No good. Then turn on wifi connect tried again worked . ok then shut down wifi tried on 4G . Works :good: now testing

True. If I would do the change it will be because of it's Octa-core but I will be waiting to see what the note 3 have to offer. That will make me upgrade

Well there is 2 problems with porting an entire ROM. 1. I can't port the entire ROM since verizon and t-mobile gn2's run different files on their ROMs. and 2. I don't have permission to port it and this would be called KANG (or stealing).
But I can port a theme for you.

There is no flashable for the theme because Nitro has the ROM itself themed. Also just porting the theme is hard because the difference in bases. The phone, contacts, etc is easy, but the framework causes boot loops. by the way the theme is just AOSP with everything blacked out including all the gapps and the complete framework.
As for a direct port with keeping the base it's already on, it's very easy. Technically you could just flash the ROM then a tmo kernel and use it, but to do it right there are like 20 files that need swapped. I already made one, I ran it for a week, but needed wifi calling so left it. I asked Nitro for permission to post it, but he never got back to me. I don't think he comes on xda much. I may try him on his new site. I just don't feel like signing up for another site (already was on his last site). If he gets back with me I'm going to try to rebase it in mb4

Thanks for the info man. With the theming i just take the time to rename the PNG files to match the t-mobile base. So its rather simple but time consuming. I can basically port any theme out there. And I dont plan on ever stealing work because I don't want people to steal from me.

Yep that's what is gonna be needed. However there are going to be a lot of xml edits involved because the entire ROM is blacked out.

Knox was killing SuperSU. So you pretty much couldn't do a thing without removing Knox it looked like. I was able to get TWRP installed with Odin which let me dump the files off the phone. DocHoliday is working on a stock odin to get the phone back to stock form. Man it was a long night dam Knox killing everything.
