In your opinion - Galaxy S III Accessories

Hey guys just recently bought a seidio 3500 battery I like name brand stuff not a big fan of knock offs or generic brands
Anyways I've done 3 full cycles on the battery so far .... pictures attached are my results as of tonight what do you all think I've also had my wifi , location , and sync on all day as well... so I would say I used it all day heavy as I could
I'm mean I enjoy this battery so far but what you all think I love the fact that I bought this battery off seidio online semt back got the same battery with white door and got the active case holster combo for half of what they wanted on there website for just the battery

Seido 3800 mah Battery

Guys here is my performance with the Seido big battery for the GNex.
Glad I didn't buy the RAZR Maxx. Worth every penny. Rooted stock ROM, average use, on WIFI all day, watched about an hour of YouTube.

Nice, but..that battery is pretty big and doesnt support NFC. It's also 70 bucks.

People reach more than that I believe with stock/extended battery. I'd look into a custom from/kernel those developers do amazing work with their tweaks

I'm over seidio batteries. When I had it for my OG incredible they didn't offer any advantage over stock and were 'rated' with higher mAh.
Save your $70 and get the extended battery from VZW when it's on sale.
True it was pricey.. I never use NFC, although, I keep the stock battery and cover in the center console in the car. The extended from Verizon offered about 400 more Mah, that wasn't enough. The Seido is more than twice the stock battery. I love the matching case, I'm about 6'2" with big hands, the extended battery helps it fit in my hand.

I'm 6'3", I like the feel with the 2100mAh, the smaller 1850mAh feels a bit light...
It's all preference really though. Plus the rear case on the 3800mAh kills the aesthetics and the color doesn't even match.
I'm hoping when 4.04 gets released my battery woes are solved. So far, it looks promising.
Stock battery is serving my GSM Galaxy Nexus juuuuust fine I am having a hard time killing it as is...

Your pics don't seem to work on the xda app. Just letting you know. = )
What rom you using?
I see the pics fine using the app.
Since I updated to 4.0.4 my battery life on stock has been much better. I'm getting 11+ hours and I don't use wifi its on 4g pretty much all day. I want and extended but not with the extra bulk.

That's pretty damn impressive, though the first half of the time used on your phone seems quite static, as if you were sleeping or just leaving your phone in hibernated mode.
Curious to know your ROM and kernel combo?
Cheers
My extended 2000 mAH battery serve me just fine (GSM model).
I got 3 hours screen on time with 3d 8h stand by time (80 hours), and still 13% left.
If I used for about 5 hours screen on time, I could get more than 2 days stand by.
Granted, the device was on WiFi most of the time.
But, when I use 100% mobile internet (0% wiFi), my record was screen on time 4h 29m, with 1d 13h stand by (37 hours).
So, it really serve me fine with my usage pattern (mostly web browsing, facebook, g+, youtube, navigation and games, little bit emails).
And still look nice!

In my honest opinion, I think the 2000 aMH is the sweet spot in terms of weight, looks and length of charge. I hold my phone in my front pants pocket so anything heavy would start to sag my pants.

Yeah the last time I had charged it was the day before, and I didn't end up charging it till the following day after the screen shots were taken so 3 days or so.
I was running Gummy with I believe either stock Kernel or if Gummy comes with a Kernel that, because I didn't flash a kernel. I went from Stock, to foxhound, to Gummy.
I have since flashed AOKP M3 but I am not getting the same battery life as I was with Gummy, so I am reflashing it today.

Same here... not to mention the problems I had with my Seidio Incredible extended batt that they went to great lengths to ignore.
I have used their batts on the Dinc and the xv6800 but this time around... screw them, their high prices and crappy service. I bought the spare battery with charger and carry the spare batt with me but hardly ever need it. With the standard bat I get by almost everyday (and this is before the 4.04 update) AND I get to use the standard case and holder with my nice slim phone.

Im in the camp of getting the Seidio 3800 battery . I already ordered it and it will be here this week . In the past its their slim extended batteries that never really amount to anything but an expensive stock battery . I had the 3500 for the HTC EVO 4G and loved it . Currently I work in a building where I get bad 3G service and only 4G . So my battery takes a beating on a daily basis . Yeah I can squeeze through a day on a full charge but thats just barely making it by . The 3800 should provide more than enough boost for me . Also got a holster and case combo with it (love discounts) . I use a holster mainly due to the fact I hate putting a phone in my pocket, also I use the phone as an mp3 player at the gym . Its right there at my side when I want to use it . I know some arent to keen to holsters but to be honest I really dont care LOL . It serves its purpose as I need it to , also the case will break up the black extended battery cover and grey metallic body of the Gnex
Totally stock, no tweaks yet. Yesterday was my day off from work, then sleep all night. Work all day today.

Best battery upgrade

Hi,
I would like to know what is the best battery upgrade. Sometimes i need to use my phone for geocashing for more than two days and it is very boring trying to find time for waiting for charging. So I'm looking for best solution like extended battery or something like that. Size is not important for me, but i want something quality. Can you help me please ?
Thanks
Since size isnt a problem, id say.. get the Mugen 3200mah battery.
The quality is good and it has almost twice the capacity of the original.
Official samsung 2000 mah is pretty good. I get about 30% more usage on a full charge.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649119
I bought a 9.99 3000mah battery from Ebay. Cut a hole in the back of my cover so it would fit. Anyway I'm getting over 36 hours between charge with moderate use. Atm I'm on 55% battery and I'm on 18 hours 16min. Data on. Sync on. half brightness

thanks a lot for you ansvers
I run ICS with the samsung 2000Amh battery .. I get up to almost 3 days with 1 single charge and about 30% usage (calls and msg and whatsapp)
ICS alone is worth alot in getting the battery juice up..
I have just bought this 2600 mAh battery, has anyone had this, or one similar? any good or bad comment on it?

I'm always afraid of buying cheap batteries because I always hear they might explode...
well maybe not so radical about the exploision, everythink can explode, check out this anker battery thread, haha
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1514929
but what is true and so far my experience is that cheap batteries never performed the advertised capacity, i am talking about few dozens i have purchased...
i have only a suggestion: don't use batteries that gives you with the dock of sgs2

I'm using Dragon ICS with Siyah kernel and I'm now on 32% with 28 hours normal use.
What seemed to help is enable and disable airplane mode 3 times in a row. Read that somewhere on XDA and I dont know why but I'm having a better batterylife since
asysa commanded
Custom Rom and kernel and your battery will last you the whole day, and use sreen brightness at 30%

Who else is waiting for the extended battery?

All,
I just got back from thailand where I bought my note 2. I had my trusty note 1 with me and of all the 7 extra batterys I bought my best friend was the 5000ma extended battery. It was ultimate freedom.
I am waiting for a supersonic 7000-10000ma extended battery for the sgn2. Anyone else?

To be honeat, given battery life so far, I dont see the need.
I've already purchased couple of batteries from eBay for N2 which won't be here until Tuesday.
I probably will not get extended battery because I would like keep my N2 slim and sexy.
Who knows? I may change my mine later on. It will be depending on how I use it.
I may not even need a extra battery.
Personally, I don't think the bulkiness of the extended battery is worth it for the note 2. The stock one is enough to last me the whole day

No way, I will buy a dock to charge phone and a extra battery and if I see that one day I could need it, I will carry the extra battery, but Im not going to convert the note2 in a horrible monster.

lol i used to think the same but i loved my sexy monster with bulky battery.. I think they can pack a 8000ma one into this puppy when they finally release them
I wouldn't mind an extra battery, I got large hands and as it is a bit thicker would not be a problem to me. It's really all about getting used too and getting less dependable. I would like a dock also.

[Q] best note 2 extended battery

Hi xda lol this is my first post so be nice jk. Ive been looking for a extended battery for the note 2 I also have a moga pro and would like to use if with extended battery if possible but I dont know which to get. Gorilla gadgets 4800mah flip cover extended battery I like that when im at home I can just take case off and have a slim phone next is zerolemon 9300 what I dint get is that someobe told me it doesnt have a back like normal extebded battieries. Ive also saw this acesoft 3960mah slim it doesnt look legit haveyou guys ever heard of it
Depends on if you're looking for the extended back or not. The ZeroLemon is obviously the biggest one and can last you a whole weekend basically, and comes with its own back for it meaning you cant use the stock plastic back anymore. The 3960 battery still uses the stock back but doesn't give a whole lot more life either.
I have hyperion and it lasts FOREVER. I mean its forever like 3 days between charges if your frugal with data connections and the sort. 2 days regular use

[Q] Looking for new Battery and Charger for my S3

Hello.
At this moment i use the Stock/original Samsung Battery (2.100 mAh) and Charger ( Out: 6.0V 1.0A, Input : 0,15A )
I want to buy a better battery and charger my Samsung Galaxy s3 GT-I9300 ( Germany, when it is interesting to know, no branding )
But i don't want to buy a low quality china sh*t ( it should have a Producer warranty and have to life longer than 1 day or 2 weeks )
Also i don't want to turn my S3 into Big Phone...
It was nice when the battery should fit with the Original Case.
I found this one ( youtube.com / watch?v=BBJUj-ZgpTo - Sorry for tricking, but i can't post fully links ;o. ).
I think this battery is a nice one.
It doesnt fit with the original case, but its okay.
Maybe you know better Batterys for the Same case from the 3000mAh Battery from samsung?
And are the 900mAh more from the Samsung battery good?
about how many % life this battery longer than the orignal one !?
And yes...
I looking for a new and better Charger than the Orignal Samsung one.
Maybe one with a xtra large USB cable is nice .
Hope u can help me.
I wish you all a Merry Christmas and wonderfull Days .
Sorry for my bad english.
I'm from Germany
I am runing the Anker Battery from amazon and it has been working well for 3+ months
yes.
Maybe i take a battery with a much bigger case...
But first i want a smart one ...
I think the big one like this or the "lemon" make the phone too ugly :/.
And i dont need a battery life about 3 days .
i will be happy if it stay for 24hours by normal use with musik streaming and sometimes little bit gaming .
As far as chargers go, I'd say stock is pretty much as good as it gets. Other chargers you buy don't come with warranties and they don't provide stable output (referring to those colourful ones made in China...)
Okay... ?
Bus are there difference between the Samsung Charger?
My Black one need about the Double of time too recharge as the White one, my father got with his Note2

The black one comes with your s3, has lower output than note3 charger. Note 2 has higher battery so they have a higher charger output so that it charges fast too. I'm not sure whether charging s3 at the higher rate will affect battery lifespan though.
I bought a used Galaxy S III and the battery would barely last a day. I went to my local BatteriesPlus store and picked up a standard 7100mah. I have had no complaints...it will last me about 10-12hrs with moderate/heavy usage. It works with NFC and they also have extended batteries and covers available.

I am running the Anker 4400mah and using Anker charger. Both have 180 day-no hassle warranty, and the customer service is top notch. The charge time is longer on larger batteries, however; if you buy two or cycle between standard batt and extended batt, you will never be without a charged battery. Personally, I run 2 Anker 4400mah and using their charger. At $20 a piece- well worth the price.
Run time varies based on usage, there are a lot of threads on this. For me-I usually get 1-2 days with heavy usage. Games, bluetooth emails, speaker phone, music player, ect.
I have also modded a trident case and otterbox to accommodate the size. You can get both on Amazon.
Hope this helps

Zero Lemon has served me well for the last six months or so. Just the other day I got 5 hours of screen time on Omega Rom 53. The charger is rubbish, though.
Personally, I would prefer to buy a spare stock battery, and keep it in the car,bag or my coat. Rather do that than take the chance with third party batteries.
Whoever voted that you only get an extra hour out of the battery clearly doesn't have one.

Yeah, I get many more hours with a 3300mah. I can get almost 2 days running 4.4.2 with moderate usage and lots of screen brightness. I like the 3300 as it keeps the for factor of the phone so all the cases fit. The 7000 is tempting though!! :highfive:
How about the ones that fit stock case what have people found to work the best
I went with this. Keeps the stock form. Get some good life with it. Def more than a day. Depends on the ROM.
