thanks for the reply, ive tired reflashing cm 10.1 and nothing happened and now i cannot even get on to cmw recovery tired using the ruu to go back to stock and just get an error 155 and sometimes 144?
Edit i want stock back please

Hmm you wanna flash cm10.1 I assume.
Firstly, unlock your bootloader using the unlock code you got from htcdev, if you've lost it, seek your email inbox.
Put Unlock_code.bin into your fastboot folder and type: fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin
Now you're unlocked. DL clockworkmod if you have lost it: http://download2.clockworkmod.com/recoveries/recovery-clockwork-touch-5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img
Rename it recovery.img and put it to your fastboot folder. Flash by typing fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Then take the boot.img from rom.zip and put it to your fastboot folder. fastboot flash boot boot.img
After that's done you can flash cm10.1. Remember the vendors installer zip from cm thread if you don't have it.
1. Wipe data/factory reset
2. Install ROM.zip
3. Install gapps.zip
4. Install vendors.zip
5. reboot

thanks for replying cant find the vendors.zip your talking about?

WARNING BLOBS WERE TAKEN DOWN (DMCA) so the builds are screwed! YOU NEED TO FLASH a separate vendor installer after flashing nightlies, or use STAGING builds

thanks for that, but now my HOX is saying that the battery is to low to flash and wont turn off to charge?

Use this script to charge: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1658084&highlight=batch
Run for a couple o hours.

Problem solved it was the vendors.zip that I had missed out thanks for all your help. Job well done

The nandroid backup that you downloaded has a different CID , this will never work. Why not go back to a custom rom first and look for the right RUU or right nandroid backup later. At least you will have a working phone !!!

what are the procedures that you're doing to install a custom rom? i guess you installed JB over the ICS HBOOT and that's why your phone isn't bootig
Thinking the same thing
Or forget to do a factory reset and wiping all caches in recovery ..... and do a full wipe for sure !
I feel your pain bud i am in the same situation white screen of death. I found a site which says how to restore the phones rom back to it was, it requires the original RUU file. I was hoping someone could help and supply that as i cant find one anywhere that doesnt cost.

If you manage to fail even after following his links do exacttly as i write in here.
1. go to bootloader and hit fastboot option
2. whatever you're using for flashing type this: fastboot erase cache
3. fastboot flash boot boot.img (rename boot img that comes with the rom to *boot* if thats not the name of the boot img )
4. fastboot erase cache
5. disconect the phone from USB and go to the recovery
6. wipe data/factory reset
7. wipe cache
8. mounts & storage format system , data , cache
9. go to advanced and wipe dalvic cache also battery stats (just in case that your battery % getts all weird)
10. flash the rom of your choice (make sure it's an ICS ROM since your cid doesn't support JB as of yet)
11. restart and enjoy the rom.
Hope this helps.

Also do a fastboot erase cache and from recovery a factory reset. There is some old data causing the bootloops. Try the ICS viper Rom, had the same issue and this one worked well. As for installing flash boot.img first,ROM only afterwards.

[Q] Trouble with first time trying to get custom ROM.

Hello,
First of all I'm new to this forum so Hello! second of all I'm also new to rooting and custom ROM's.
So today after 3 days of trying to unlock my HTC One X by htcdev.com i finally submitted my identifier token and i got the Unlock_code.bin
I downloaded Android Revolution HD 18.1, I also downloaded the CWM v5.8.4.0 and installed it on my phone.
After that i followed the instructions on how to install the Revolution HD 18.1, after doing all the steps on my phone it told me it was succesfully installed and i had to reboot the system. So i did it, then the part comes where i'm getting stuck. It was rebooting my htc , and it wouldn't go further then the opening screen HTC quietly brilliant it was stuck there. trying to put my phone on and off and on and off, same problem. Now i can only go in the bootloader menu and in recovery menu and thats it.
I did a lot of research on how to fix my problem, unfortunally nothing helped. (Maybe cuz I'm a noob and new to this)
Can someone please help me with this, i've been trying it all day now and i'm giving up the hope.
Some information at the hboot menu of my HTC one X

Untill now i diddnt do anything yet, so shall i try and update my hboot to 1.31+, or should I wait for the comments here?

Is there a folder on the sdcard called Clockworkmod ?
And if you send me a teamviewer login by PM i can watch with you and do it in dutch !
If you restore the original nandroid you can update right away to JB, its waiting for you (HTC__E11)

Then you can restore it,
Copy the boot.img from the nandroid backup and flash it with fastboot commands
Then do a full wipe in recovery, all caches, dalvik cache, system, data .....
Then press backup nd restore in the recovery and restore ....then restore the backup and boot it up. When it works you need to flash back the stock recovery

After this you are ready to update to JB !

Bootloop on Desire HD

Hi Peeps. Appreciate any help here.
Recently got 02 faulty Desire HD from someone. No idea what he did. One of it has a bootloop, while the other is just stuck on the HTC logo. I will just concentrate my problem on the device with the bootloop as it seems to have a higher chance of recovering.
Was able to boot to HBoot and shows me this screen. I will type it out as I have no access to camera for now.

Firstly. is there anything to make it S-OFF? Couldn't find a method that works. Most of it I found requires to boot into Android which is impossible for my case.
Also tried to put PD98IMG.zip in SD card to flash it, but give CID incorrect error.

Signature check is failing or the .img file is flaw (try downloading again) or your bootloader is not unlocked in its whole. That happens from time to time. Try using this recovery image (touch CWM):

HTC desire HD can not boot anymore after try to install android 4

Hello guys,
I wanted to install a new version of Android (4.X), and I tried different steps
- first I wanted to downgrade my firmware version, but I saw that a goldcard was needed and the link to generate them was dead, so I skipped this part...
- So I unlocked the BOOTLOADER, then I installed ClockworkMod.
- Then I performed a fullwipe and tried to install different via the Recovery mode ROMS I downloaded. The issue was that all the installation were pretty fast (less than 1 minutes ) and none of them allowed me to start my HTC.
I am now in trouble since I can not start anymore my phone, cause I can not installed any ROM... Plus, I think I never put my phone as root, but I am not sure I can do this anymore (since the only thing I can do is start via the BOOTLOADER).
Could someone help me with my issue?
Thanks in advance....

Er, nothing you've said implies that flashing the boot.img isn't your solution. You don't need root to flash the boot.img, just unlock, and you have that. You only need to downgrade to get S-Off, which you don't need.
What you could do is flash the boot.img from fastboot like I said, and see if it boots. If you're flashing a custom ROM (which you must be if you're flashing 4.x, since that's not officially supported), it will come with root.

Thx bananagranola: I tried to perform this action with 3 ROMs and they all failed...
Here are the steps I performed each time :
Download the ROM
Extract the boot.img from the ROM, and then do a connect my mobile with fastboot to my pc
Execute : fastboot flash boot boot.img
Go in Recovery, performed a full wipe and then installed the ROM (install from ZIP).
Problem is, everytime the installation failed at the beginning or the middle (with the VIPER one, around 60 %)...
Do you have any idea what I could have done wrong?
You really should do full wipe first, then flash your ROM of choice, then flash the boot.IMG from the rom last via fastboot last, this is probably why it keeps failing.
Sent from my GT-I9505 using xda app-developers app
Yes, wipe, then flash ROM from recovery first, then flash boot.img from fastboot. With your current method, you're wiping the boot.img before flashing the ROM.

Thx both, but unfortunately it does not work.
I performed a full wipe, then flash the ROM ( install the zip, which is often really fast, less than 45 seconds, except for the VIPER which failed in the middle). Then I do :
Extract the boot.img from the ROM, and then do a connect my mobile with fastboot to my pc
Execute : fastboot flash boot boot.img
Now I passed the HTC logo, but then blocked on a black screen....
Any Idea?

[Q] [SOLVED!]HTC Desire z bootloop

So,
I just bought a Htc Desire z a few days ago. Unlocked the bootloader, Installed CWM. All was going well until I decided to flash a Rom then the phone when into a bootloop and CWM stopped working.
So far I've fixed the recovery through fastboot but I'm still in a bootloop.
Any Ideas?
Additional details:
I'm on Ubuntu, I'm not so good with fastboot(or adb), the phone is a Turkish HTC desire Z, I have a NAndroid back-up right before I flashed the rom. I've tried combining it with the stock recovery. Obviously didn't work.

Hi,

It means security ON
So, it won't let you flash anything
First, you have to run a rom again (dunno how....
from bootloader what are yours options? You can go to recovery?
if not, maybe installing a RUU from bootloader... But wait, i'm not sure you can...

No actually I can extract a RUU to a IMG file.
I currently can go into the bootloader(therefore into fastboot) and I can flash recoveries long as they're in img format.
I know this going to sound stupid considering that I got this far but what exactley is a RUU ? I mean I know I got the Hboot update from one but do they contain stock Roms as well?

I strung a few together tutorials but you know they're all same. sudo fastboot oem get_identifier_token. So yes.

in that case you just have to copy the boot.IMG file from the rom you downloaden. Put it in the map with fastboot etc. Then open a terminal and type fastboot flash boot boot.img I dont know if how this works on Ubuntu. But i think its something like that on Ubuntu.

didn't see much on s-off. You do have anything else?
Its in the first post, first you need to get a factory image running and relock your bootloader, then follow the steps in the xda wiki or strawmetals PDF guide. If you don't want to do this and would rather keep secure flags on then then each ROM you flash you will need to fastboot flash the kernel when done
But I highly recommend to get true radio s-off
