Hi,
I've been testing iOS and i found a game that i really like, its Pixel People, but, the iDevice was not mine and i gave it back. And now i want to play it but its not available on android.
So if someone knows about this game on android please tell me or about a similar game (pixel style please).
Thanks

Ok when I bought my nexus, I was aware of the issues regarding the fragmentation of the Android market, which results in compatability of most games, and wasn't expecting to use the device as a gaming unit anyway, as I have an ipod touch, just for gaming. But was out on research this weekend and didn't carry my ipod, and due to the bad weather in England, ended up staying longer, were we was, so I read an article that stated that virtua tennis by Sega, which was previously only exclusive to Sega, was now available for other android devices, so bearing in mind this phone is Google, s own baby, fired android market or play, as it's now called, and you can imagine my surprise when I was met with "app not compatible with your phone ", seriously, what chance do other phones have if the Google phone itself has compatibility issues with some games unbelievable to say the least. So that means, the developers loose out as I cannot purchase the app, and this is were IOS is stronger, on gaming only, otherwise android is better everything else, I wish Google would sort this out.
It's up to the app developer to make updates for in this case ICS and higher resolution. ICS is still fairly young so not all developers have updated or will ever update their apps for new versions.

ICS will slowly work out problems such as this. The problem is that not everything that came before ICS will make the transition. The other problem is that ICS is too new. Aside from the Nexus users, ICS barely exists. Updates are only now rolling out for certain phones.
It's frustrating now, but hopefully in the future things will become better. Google is working hard at this. They've already started releasing better tools to devs.
If the app shows up on Google Play on your phone then it sure should be compatible or it would not be there. Did you change your screen density? That is one thing that will give you an app incompatability issue in the market.
Hello all. Kinda combining 2 different topics/questions into one thread. I just have a couple of questions regarding the Nexus 7 (2nd gen):
1. I've never bought a tablet before but if I understand correctly, there's a Google Nexus 7 and an Asus Nexus 7. They are the same tablet correct (I've noticed that even on the Asus ones, it still has "Nexus" on the back)? Is there a benefit of buying the 7 from Google as opposed to Asus?
2. For anyone who plays emulators, what are your recommendations? I plan on playing only the major systems (GBA, DS, Playstation, PS2 (if it exists) and maybe trying out the Dolphin GC/Wii emulator for a bit). Since most SNES games have been ported over, I won't really bother with that one.
Thanks!!
1. The Nexus 7 is manufactured by Asus but branded by Google. There aren't two different models, it would just be that the store you're looking at is incorrectly branding it as the "Asus Nexus 7." Based on the retailers linked from the official page you have:
Nexus 7 (this is on the Play Store so it makes sense that they don't brand it as Google there)
Google Nexus 7
Nexus 7 From Google
Google Nexus 7 By Asus
Just make sure you're looking at the Nexus 7 2013 model and not the 2012 model. It could be branded as the "FHD" model as well. If you're in a country where it can be purchased from the Play Store I really recommend buying it there. If you buy it from the Play Store Google will handle any warranty claims and will usually replace it for a new device in the first year if a defect pops up. If you buy it from anywhere else you have to deal with Asus service which can be slow.
2. Although I really, really hate the idea of paying for an emulator, the *.emu emulators by Robert Broglia are by far the best I've found. Retroarch is decent (though mysteriously absent from the Play Store recently) but the touch controls on the .emu emulators are much more precise. I've also run into far fewer bugs in general with gba.emu/gbc.emu/nes.emu. Snes9x EX+ is a free SNES emulator made by the same guy, so it will show you the interface and everything. And to say that every worthwhile SNES game is ported to Android is a bit ridiculous

Thanks!!! Quick and to the point. The Google/Asus makes sense. I've heard about Retroarch but never tried them, but I'll take your advice on the .emu emulators. Thanks again!
Edit: Forgot to ask. So is it safe to assume that the most recent emulators (in terms of most recent game consoles) for andoird would be Drastric (Nintendo DS) and PPSSPP (PSP Emulator)? I havent looked much at PPSSPP yet but Drastric seems compatible with most of the games.
Yeah, I think someone is working on a Wii emulator but it doesn't seem to be very functional yet. Everything PSX and earlier (that's a fairly popular system and attracted enough developer attention) should work.
Edit: And yeah, the DS/PSP emulators are definitely coming along.
Hello,
I recently purchased a 5X, and was excited to get ahold of it for a few reasons, coming from a Nexus 5. 64-bit, fingerprint, better screen and camera etc. But some of the games I play have been running terribly. And I'd love to know if it's just me (faulty handset) or if others can reproduce the same results.
Full disclosure, I do work for the company that develops the games in question although I don't work on them personally. No one else I know has this phone, so I can't ask any friends/colleagues.
The games are:
Crafty Candy
Bubble Genius
Mystery Match
If anyone could download any of these and give them a quick blast to see if they have performance issues as well, it'd be appreciated.
David
I currently have an Axon 7 and overall I'm happy with the performance. I'd like it if Dolphin ran a bit better, but overall I can't complain. However, the battery is getting a bit on the weak side so I'm looking to possibly upgrade to the Zenfone 5Z.
I was wondering how it is with emulators primarily. Do both Dolphin and PPSSPP run in Vulkan on the phone?
And as far as native Android games, I was wondering if certain ones were compatible with it, mainly the various Rockstar games like the GTAs, Bully and Max Payne. And does X-Com Enemy Within work as well? I know that X-com for example has some wonky compatibility issues, and San Andreas has had graphical issues since Android 7.0, so that's why I'm asking about these games specifically.
And if you have any other gaming concerns or comments, I'd love to hear them!
Thank you!
This question made me download PPSSPP with god of war n i tried it out to reply u ..so what i found was pretty.. Amazing
I hav op5t in which i tried the same game n emulator n without any tweaks game lagged a alot but with 5z scene is entirely different
Game ran in almost 60fps which ... really amazing
Also battery is not that great m also hating the battery life but m depending upon update ..
An update can solve the prbm
Hi this is the first time I ask something here and as the thread title says, I want to know if it is possible to overclock in Pie?
The reason I want to do it is simple, my wii broke a few months ago and I have been using this phone with Dolphin to continue playing some of my games. but I have noticed that some of my games slow down, mostly heavy games like Epic Mickey or other games like Mario and Sonic at the Olympics and for some reason also wii party also slows down. I am going to change my phone soon and I wanted to give this one a second life and after a while seeing how this other one can run many games I decided to see what was the problem and I noticed that it is a lack of power of the cpu, so this is why I want to overclock and I have some basic knowledge about it Although I saw it on PCs and laptops, I think at least some things should be the same.
I have the 27 watt charger, the projector mod, and a pretty powerful fan to keep it cool and I wouldn't mind leaving it connected to the charger and near the fan on my desk.
I do not know if this could be useful but my moto z2 is from t-mobile and has android 9 of the model xt1789-06 installed with a guide that is here in xda (I have not published anything here before and I think I can not post links yet but it appears as "Stock Pie on Tmo Moto z2 force hybrid of sprint pie and tmo oreo roms")
Honestly I have almost no development knowledge, I have used things like "flash all" files or zip files for TWRP, but I have never compiled something like a kernel or rom and maybe with some help I could learn how to do it
Sorry for the long post and I had to use a translator because I think my english is pretty bad
