Is there a ROM that is:
- based on the stock ROM (no fancy GUI/themes) very simple
- bloatware removed
- battery efficient
- pre-rooted
All the ROMs I've seen so far are quite "fancy".
P.S.
For a simple user like me, should I install odex or deodex rom?
TIA
Try CleanROM. Available on scottsrom and xda. All carrier version as well as carrier specific versions. Very stable.
Was my first flash. Use twrp to avoid ext SD card issues.

CleanROM AT&T Special Edition 1.0 and CleanROM ACE and ATT Stock Rooted Deodexed 4.1.
What is the difference between these three roms. CleanROM AT&T Special Edition 1.0, CleanROM ACE 4.0.5, and ATT Stock Rooted Deodexed 4.1.2 . I know the Clean Rom AT&T Special edition bases on the AT&T OTA and the CleanRom ACE is for the international. Can you please go into more detail if that's all there difference is and what is ATT Stock Rooted Deodexed 4.1.2.

+1... I'd like to know as well. Reading the 3 threads still leaves me with this question.

Description of each
CleanROM is based on the stock ROM of an international variant off the Note II, with changes applied by Scott. CleanROM SE is based on stock official AT&T ROM, with more-or-less the same changes. The stock rooted de-odex ROM is exactly what it says. Search Google if you need descriptions of odex vs. de-odex.
Wi-fi tethering and removal (debloating) of most AT&T add on software. In addition to allowing for custom theming/modifications.
Had a few questions about special apps.
1) how well does rom toolbox work with sm-t210r and does all features work?
2) is there any other special apps like rom toolbox should I get?
3) what is the best custom rom to use with these programs and the SM-T210R?
Running twrp with rooted stock rom but can switch to custom rom(was waiting for 4.2.2 to come out)

This is a custom ROM.
So what I mean is: this is NOT official ROM from Samsung, but it is built from a firmware like that (stock based ROM), so You will have all the Spen features and Sasmung stuff. It is rooted, You probably trigger your knox flag and Your warranty will be void.
Non stock based ROMS are others that don't support all samsung apps, like Snote, Multiwindow etc. These are for example: Cyanogenmod, AOSP, AOKP, AOSB, Paranoid Android, MIUI and others.

To make it easier for you to understand ,the ROM link you provided is "stock" samsung ROM but the difference is it's "pre rooted" (but you still got to update to latest SuperSu by chainfire for the apps to detect it's root) and it's dedoxed. It has NO note 3 or Samsung S5 modded apps ,if you want to a ROM with note 3/s5 apps go for DN3RC2 or Jellykat v5 both are based on leaked NC2 firmware (the official one is ND3). As you said you are on stock 4.3 so there's a guide made available by a fellow xda user @smeet.somaiya where you don't need to root or worry about deknoxing ,link to his Thread.Follow his guide if you don't want to root your phone yet
i inistalled this rom :

Yes, mostly any custom ROM is better than a stock ROM.
It's faster and it has mostly more features, for example You may have Note 3 and S5 features (however not all of them if our phones don't have a proper hardware for it, f.e. fingerprint scanner etc.)
To install other ROM it's mostly recommended to do a full wipe, as upgrading may result in many "Force closes" or the phone won't even boot.
So always wipe data, dalvik cache when changing to other ROM.

can you tell me guys what custom rom is better than all custom roms ? DN3 or jellycat ? (on android 4.4)
it's a LEAKED stock rom before official French 4.4.2 release.
it does have more tweaked function but is a customized one. it also doesn't work like DrKetan_MultiTool as it doesn't provide other fumctionality other than to flash the rom.

Somehow the DN3 couldn't boot at my note. From stock based ROMs I used only AirCommand ROM and it was working pretty well, however I personally prefer CM-based ROMs, they are much faster and support ART.
Since i haven't seen anyoen create a list for custom ROMs and kernels so far i decided to make one. I have tested every single ROM and will give a few small details about a few. ALl these ROMs and kernels are great and we should all respect the developers hard work

Stock backups and radios for CWM (thanks to Bonoboo), Allows you to flash a baseband/radio modules or whatever of previous and current frimware for example if you were using 4.3 and wanted to go back to a 4.1.2 ROM you could easily flash 4.1.2 Radio if you do not have acces to a computer
User Noel Macwan has created a number of kernels and roms for Xperia M on SXDevelopers but he is banned from XDA and i will not post linsk for him, just google his name

Hi all,
I have recently installed the latest sd redbulled v2.0 on the standard international m8 and in the aroma menu was forced to install a Pac Attack created mod. Is there anyway to install stock marshmallow nav and status bar? Also I appear to now have 2 battery icons. Normally I would use xposed to remove but as marshmallow doesn't support it I am unable to this occasion.
Any help would be much appreciated. Obviously I could flash another rom but I love the speed and stability of the redbulled rom and have tried many but would prefer a more stock marshmallow experience.
Thanks
I would ask that here
