[Q] sharing internet shuts off after a few minutes.

I give internet to my pc through usb. Everytime I try to download something, the internet stops working after a few minutes and I have to untick and retick the usb-connection on my phone for it to work again. How can I resolve this?
If your screen goes off during, Ensure settings ......../ wifi / 'menu button' / advanced / wifi sleep policy -> Never
Maybe I might have initially misunderstood your question, thinking you lost wifi connection, not usb connection?

I am not sure what shuts off. The computer just says theres no internet. This happens only when i download at full speed. If i only surf the web it never shuts down. Is the phone getting overheated?

3g network help

How do I keep my 3g network always on? By this I mean sometimes when it goes off I have to turn off radio and turn it back on again in order for it to work. Also I could be on internet and then all of a sudden it won't connect. Again I have to restart connection. This as you can imagine can be very frustrating. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

do not know if this would help but try this. first make sure you go into settings and turn mobile network on. then download an app which link is in my signature. download it from market and install it on your phone..do not worry you do not need to be rooted. once you installed that top option where it says put data connection to sleep untick that.
let me know how it goes for you...
Thanks tried that but it doesn't seem to work. Was wondering if there was build prop settings or something like that?

Maybe your phone and the acces point just dislike each other.
I.e., the access point crashes the WiFi stack.

Not sure how else to say it. Maybe your phone and the WiFi in the building are just incompatible.

but my pc sees about 10 networks and my phone cant see even one it just stops looking so my phone is not conpatible with about 10 buildings surrounding it ,,, !!!!!
Only one router needs to crash the WiFi stack, hence why you need to switch off and back on to get signal again.
Try disabling windows virtual mini port if you have it

Going inside the building picks up an 11th signal, which crashes your WiFi stack. Just a wild but entirely plausible guess.
I've fixed this before by disabling 802.11n on the router, leaving b and g. Or, back when g was first released, disabling g.
What happens is that manufacturers jump to support the latest technology before the standard is finalised and interoperability testing can be done.
Occasionally a device can take out an access point, or an AP can take out a device.

Virtual mini port is on your PC under network adapters. Could cause the problem/conflict
