[DEV] Hero 2.6.29 kernel source [UPDATED WITH INFO BEN#23]

Hi guys,
After some work on the kernel I've managed to solve the issues with the device becoming barely usable because it drops in speed.
UPDATE 2: OC fully working up to 710Mhz. Check my last commit for more info. DO NOT MAX OUT THE CPU SPEED, WILL FREEZE UR PHONE

..... more to come, Toastcfh will provide me with a working OC patch hopefully whenever he has time same goes with BFS backport

wow, how did you guys manage that? based on the github name I'm guessing this is based on the cdma source, how did you guys make them compatible with the gsm hero?

Jezus man. I am really unwanted in this forum. I am stating this is not the kernel sources where I build my rom on. The one I am using is goldfish sources with a few patches from me.

For people who dont understand, he's saying that he hacked into HTC and stole the source code. So basically he claims to have hacked into an offline network and then multiple encrypted servers and downloaded the source code.
Look, just stfo from now on and stop bullshitting.
HTC screwed up, they accidentally uploaded a tarball with ALL devices kernel sources, when they uploaded the legend kernel source the first time and
some guys managed to download before it was removed.

[WANTED] Devs and Testers for a rom port project ICS CM9 source

Alright guys I think it's about time. The Captivate glide has been out for awhile. We have clockwork mod (had it for awhile) and this phone has way more than the required specs to load ICS. No one knows when the OTA update will be out. But in all honesty who cares. I have knowledge with editing android apks and roms because I picked it up from themeing. I also have linux. There is also already a custom kernel for captivate here in this forum.

My proposal is this. We need devs with:
-knowledge of rom porting and customization
-linux to compile source (duh) if you know how do this with mac/windows than fine.
-dropbox (github is another option) so we can all work on the same rom

LOL, ROTFL, LMAO! ....coz when I saw your post, something hit me then I keep searching the whole XDA.....and it's something to do with some of the CM7 themes I installed...It bothers me for I will not be able to sleep until I found out! BTW very nice themes, I guess this an opportunity to thank you for that in addition to rating your themes on the Market Play Store.

why ? dont need to stop me ! i am just trying my level to fix the buggs in cm7 !

you can't even make a logcat file with adb, then how could you fix those bug from cm7? you've also mad a lot of fake guide which totally untested and potentially brick our device. I'm sorry but that's annoying.

What's all the fuzz with the samsung source code anyway? The platform sources are incomplete.

developing a cm7 is imposible to be done by single person. the fact is that samsung have modified a lot in sgy modules, makes any attemt port a cm7 from another device is imposible. I've told that a long time a go. if he really want to port a cm7, why don't he join motafoca's project or phiexz's? it's better than spamming dev section with fake guides.

I won't say that he is a fake dev. he knows how to make a rom. I just want to stop him creating any fake guide. if he already join cm7 project why don't he focus on them? create a fake guide is just wasting his time.

First i'm going to port cm7.1 from gio section to galaxy Y (if I get permission from Phiexz.)
is someone able to unpack a stock rom (a .tar.md5 file)? I need it for porting or at least a full working rom for galaxy y. ANy suggestions?

Dev section! There's a ported CM 7.1 there but its full of bugs. And the stock firmwares are in the Dev section too. Doky's thread. Excited! xP

Why Now?
well this device was a legacy seeing it die felt bad! plus we have only one 4.2.2 build

Hello this is my 1st logcat for the ROM. The data in it is raw, i also sent you a message on Gmail. I will attempt to perform various tasks on the phone now, and i will keep uploading logcats with what i find.
