Do you guys know any work around to disable the no service notification in status bar? "no service". I want to turn it off and discover on my own that I have no service. It gets so annoying sometimes. Similar thing has been done to USB debugging notification, where we only change something in build.prop
Bump. Anyone?

[Q] Keep getting "Permission requested" notification after flashing to AOKP Rom
hi guys,
i would like to know how to solve this message "permission requested" notification which keeps popping up everytime i turn on my phone.
Please help.
Thanks
Is it asking for root permissions?
What is requesting permission?
Are you allowing it?
Is there a tick box to save the choice?
Superuser has the option to hide the toast notifications, if that's what you're referring to
I'm not sure..it just popped out at the notification bar. When I click on it, nothing happens.

That's usually an account permission requested. You have an app that's asking to use your GMail credentials to setup, but its not going all the way through. Gotta find which app it is.

did you fix this as i have same think cant sync pics from face book to contacts its deff gmail as tells me sync problem
I had this too and it was My Tracks that was causing the problem. Once I'd found that out I went into the app's settings and sorted it out.
Next time you get this DON'T tap the notification to make it go away, instead press and hold and then select app info. That should help you find the rogue app that's having problems syncing.

You can disable message previews.

Haven't found a solution to permanently remove the notification bug. I know clear data removes it but on reboot it just comes back. Jellybomb had it removed but i deleted the voicemail app and now its back. Help?

Why would you want to delete the voicemail.apk? Do people not call you?
I'm not trying to be mean but, why?
Google voice... what I'm talking about is the notification that can't be swiped away even when there are no voicemails. Its just an annoying notification that can only be cleared when you wipe the data in the phone app

I don't have it. But verify in Settings if a "not read" notification is enabled.
Delete the app and install it again. One time I restored messages with My Backup Root and an old failed message notification just don't stop showing.

On aokp mtp is not working so I want to enable mass storage. Going to storage then going to USB settings only has CTP & MTP. I've already done 2 clean installs fixed permissions nothing is working.

Make sure USB debugging is on in settings, its hidden somewhere I think in developer settings on aokp/paranoid.

Yep that's already done

Faulty cable, that should allow the mass storage mode. Is that a bug in the ROM maybe?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
When you connect the usb cable and see the usb icon in the taskbar, slide it down and select "usb connected", then select the grey bar on the bottom that says "Turn on USB storage"
Seen this in another thread..
Go into storage in settings then hit the menu key.

Done all that it's not faulty if you look in the aokp thread more than just me is experiencing this issue....I'm asking how to actually add it to the ROM.
I've tried one thing it didn't work....

she/he isnt' the only one having a problem with aokp and external sd card access. I just flashed my note II before the OTA was forced on me and i am unable to access the card even after formatting it on the pc first. file explorer, titanium, elixir all can't access it. can't access it though usb either and i've enabled it via the unobvious menu button option. the PC doesn't see it as a device not does the phone. So it isn't just his phone.
I am having the same issue...I know is not the cable.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thank you!
