Is it possible to add the ICS SMS and play music to the shortcuts already on the homescreen where camera and phone already are?
Sent from my SGH-I747M using xda app-developers app
Assuming I understand your question, yes. Go to settings -> security -> lock screen options. Then click where it says shortcuts (not the toggle). You will have to trash an icon to make room, then hit the + and add whatever app you want.
Perfect that's just what I wanted!
Thanks!

I am seeing something weird happening on my GN2 and cannot find how to stop it. The TouchWiz is talking back in some places. For example if I click on a folder I get "The folder is open" and if I close the folder I get "The folder is closed". If I open editing page to adjust the order of home screens I get "Home screen editing page is open" and when I close it I get "screen 4 of 8". Very annoying.
I tried everything, Sound settings, Accessibility settings, went down all settings one by one. Cannot find it.
Does anyone know where to go to turn it off?
Thanks

Do you have Light Flow or Light Manager or some other notification LED managing apps?
But it should be in accessibility settings btw.
Nop, no light flow or any other led apps. And nothing that I found in accessibility is disabling that voice

Is there no TalkBack option in your accessibility settings?
Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I don't know when or how, but I once accidentally turned on car mode.
system settings -> accessibility -> text to speech -> driving mode.
I could swear there is some sort of setting for blind people. Maybe that's it?

There is but it is disabled. I went through all options of TalkBack and none of them affected this. TalkBack is turned off right now but I still get the same response.

Never had Light Flow installed.
Maybe clear data and cache on Talkback, S Voice or what ever "talking" apps you have. That would reset them as if they have never been used.
It was working before the md4 update. I could delete from the pull down curtain. Now all I get is the notification without the delete /reply options. I have tried all different settings without success. I even uninstalled gmail, deleted data and cashe, reinstalled. No dice. I really liked to be able to delete without going to the app....

if there are any other notifications in the pulldown (including one's that can't be swiped away) the option doesn't show up... I stopped using ds battery saver for this reason

Hmmmm. The only other thing there is the green lookout icon. I'll try removing that and see if it changes.

You were right!
I went to lookout settings and turned off the icon. Now all works again.... I Never would have thought it was from lookout. I even sent them an email to alert them of that. They sent a reply in 5mins. Said it shouldn't do that....
Thanks again for helping!

It's not lookout, it's gmail, if there is already any kind of notification on there it doesn't give the expanded delete reply option...:thumbup::thumbup:

The lookout support guy said he has the icon and gmail works properly for him.... maybe someday there will be a solution. For now icon goes away....
I can't believe it was that simple and that I didn't think of it!

Again, it's not a lookout problem, is a gmail problem.. nothing lookout can do to fix this, it would have to be coded into the gmail app to allow it to display these options when there is other notifications

I think the gmail notification has two modes: minimized and full (with buttons).
The notification only shows the buttons when it's the "top" notification. Apps like lookout have persistent notifications, so the gmail notification is never top dog and therefore doesn't go into "full" mode.
I know in 4.2.2, the method I described allows you to expand minimized notifications. I do a medium-length press and hold, then drag the notification down to expand it. I'll try to capture a video of what I mean (never captured video on my phone before).

Try This on your dialer type 3845#*980# then find "audio cal tool" and find "set gain" then look there for the sound values and you can change them for whatever you want. let me know if you got it.
im afraid that option is not in my unit.. i dialled 3845#*988# and these are the options that showed up (see the attahed image)..
i checked every option but was unable to find "audio cal tool"..

check in "device test" "settings" if device test then look for "all auto test" or send me screenshots to know where you are at.
when i enter the device test option, there is an auto test option that is available and when i press it, it just shows a bunch of lists that doesnt do anything on the audio..
on the settings option however, there is an audio option and when i press it, a submenu appears and the first option says "sound calibration".. but when i press it, a toast notification appeared that says something like "test not implemented yet"..

Hi, man. Did you fixed this? I have the same problem right now and I'm desperate.
Can't find a setting for it but when on the phone I get a single beep when a new mail arrives. How do you turn that off?
Which email app are you using? Go to the settings on app, not on Android.

You are missing my point. Notification is not set to make any noise. My ringtone is set to "none". When you are on the phone (on a call) and an email comes in, the phone makes a beep in your ear....a distinct short beep almost like a call waiting tone. This is the thing I am trying to get rid of.
