I haven't rooted my HOX, it's running JB. On the home screen (central one) I can't open folders in first two rows from the bottom. I can rearrange folders, I can remove them, I can open single app in that screen area, but when I put folders there, they don't respond to the touch.
On other home screens (left and right) everything works fine.
So, it's not hardware (touch is fine on other home screens).
Do you know what might be the problem?

Perhaps a factory reset will help.
I think it will, but I was wandering if someone could help me without factory reset and reinstalling everything.

You could try clearing the data of the launcher, that should cure it.
Thc, guys.

So I was using stock gingerbread/sense 2.1, unrooted, on my INC2 and all of a sudden my keyboard is gone. I installed go keyboard and it works but it really would be nice to have the stock sense which I prefer.
I'm not sure if it can be removed from the ROM and installed like a third party keyboard or not, I really don't know about that sort of thing.
Any help with getting stock keyboard back (preferably without root/resetting the phone) would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried to check if "Android keyboard" is in the Keyboard settings?
It isn't, initially it was a blank box when I clicked on input method, and there weren't any settings underneath.

2 ideas:
1) get into some field where you'd normally enter text and long-press the text field. In CM roms, this gets you the ability to choose from the available keyboards (this doesn't seem to work in Sense-based Roms, though).
2) or... if the Go Keyboard installed itself as a regular application, you might go into Menu|Settings|Applications|Manage Applications, select the "All" tab and look for your Go keyboard. If you find it, click it and in the subsequent screen, scroll down until you find the "Clear Defaults" button. Click this to unset the Go keyboard as default. Then exit back to the main home screen.
Then when you get back to the main home page, open something that requires typing and you may find the ability to select the default keyboard. I'd guess that the regular HTC one is back there.
If that doesn't work, are you rooted and do you have a Nand backup?
I'm not rooted, and it's not that the keyboard was replaced, it disappeared completely so I installed GO keyboard manually.

Have you tried holding the menu button that brings up the keyboard?

This happened to me before I rooted. I took it into a store and they surprisingly checked internet forums for an answer. Anyway, the solution was a factory reset. This was extremely annoying and is what motivated me to initially root my phone.

I rooted my phone because I had google services framework delete itself 3 times, requiring a factory reset each time. Also, one time it randomly bootlooped and required a factory reset through hboot. I was done with losing my data.

Hmm this isn't sounding good for me. However I may be getting an LTE Galaxy Nexus in a bit, so I'll be factory resetting my INC2 to give to someone. Thanks for the help anyway.

Just go to settings,Display and gestures and disable HTC Gestures. This would only disable the 3 finger swipe to enable the media link mode and won't affect anything else! And Yeah reboot!
Jst let me know if it worked for you guyz!
worked fine for me right now, thanks!
*edit*
after some time of using the phone the jumping returned
It worked with a restore, but after some hour its back again.

Hi,
I have a problem on my HTC one X - I can't pull up the notification bar.
after pulling it down, the only way to remove it is to press the Home or Back keys.
the problem comes and goes, and the touch sreen is working with no problem on the same places.
I'm with the original ROM, version 1.28.707.10
I can't think of any application I installed that cause this, because as I said, the problem just stoped by itself, and then coming back a few times.
Any idea what can it be?
Thanks,
Are you using a launcher?

no.
but the problem was fixed by itself again yesterday,
and today i got the update to 1.29.707.11 - maybe it will solve it for good.
I'm having the same problem.
In landscape mode I can pull it up again but not in portrait mode.
I'm having the issue with Leedroid ROM and CM9...full wipe doesn't resolve the issue.
Anyone know what's the cause of this?
I just went to check my data usage and have discovered I can turn on and off the data alert but cannot set the alert value. I sec to have a slider but it seems to have disappeared. Apologies if thus I'd already discussed but all the update threads have loads of pages to go through
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
yep, happened to me... believe it or not but just turn the phone sideways to force it into landscape, and back...
Discovered that accidentally
Cheers, that has to be one of the more weird ones

So after my phone got the kitkat update, the phone app on my lockscreen no longer works. It instead displays the little droid like when you have an icon for an app that's no longer installed. Maybe the app just changed locations with the update, because I definitely still have a dialer app. But I use the stock lockscreen and I can't figure out how to change the four apps at the bottom so that I can replace the bad phone one.
Any ideas? It's preventing me from making calls from the lockscreen, which blows if I'm trying to quickly pull my phone out while driving or something.

Remove the phone from your dock on the stock launcher, and re-add it.

If I've helped, please hit the thanks button
Oh, that actually worked. I have nova launcher so I literally never touched my stock one for more than five minutes after turning on the phone for the first time.
Thanks!
