[Q] T889UVBMB4 - With Root?? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note II

Okay so... I have a Note 2, T-Mobile running cmenard's Stock Tether ROM which is still T889UVALJ1. T-Mobile has a nice update for the LTE and a few other things that brings it up to T889UVBMB4 as of, I think, March 18, 2013 (few days ago)... keeping the device rooted, is there any way to manually put T889UVBMB4 in place?

Did you look in the development section? There are 2 modified ROMs and one stock rooted ROM, plus you can install sammobile's Odin flashable ROM and root using cf-root or root injection from mobile Odin.

[Q] firmware flashing

i dont know if i am in right place to ask this i have been using at&t galaxy s 3 and i want to flash t mobile galaxy s 3 firmware in my att galaxy s 3 is that possible with out breaking the device . hope to get the answer.thanks
There was a thread here saying that he's flashed a T-Mobile SGS3 ROM and it worked.

Yes it'll work. There are a few different kernels in the development/original development threads that will work with both att and tmo ROMs. Make a backup first just in case something goes wrong and restore it if all else fails.

It will work if you have Jelly Bean.
Wrong section BTW

Galaxy S Unlock presently only operates on the international S III (the i9300).
Reportedly, the method detailed here will work for the i747m (i.e. the Canadian model) if you have a new enough baseband - for Canadian models this would be the one that's included with the just-released Jelly Bean update.
can i root it after, install custom rom and still have it unlocked ?

[Q] Jedi XP14

Where can i get the carrier files and the modem files for the AT&T SGH-I317 model Galaxy note 2?
I believe the base jedi xp14 in the development board is for the att note 2. Bell, Rogers and others need separate files. You should be good to go bu just flashing the rom.
Unless, of course, you are looking to do something else.

Okay cause i was reading the instructions off xda and it said to install carrier files and everything

If your all ready on At&t...when installing jedi..it will ask you to keep your current modem settings.. so dont change it...and it wont change and youll be fine

Quick confirmation

I am familiar with rooting and rom, but only on Nexus devices. So I am looking to flash a custom rom on my wifes GS3, but want to confirm the next step.
I have rooted the device using CF auto root, i then installed TWRP via goo manager.
So can i just flash roms like normal now? Is the bootloader unlocked, or is that not involved with this device?
You can flash ROMs like normal.. Bootloader is already unlocked

If you want to flash custom ROMs like cm or aosp, you'll most likely have to update the bootloader. But if your just flash TW ROMs, you should be fine.

Thanks guys. Probably just TW Roms this way I don't confuse her. Her GS3 has just been running like crap lately so figured I'd wipe it and install something with less bloat.

Yea stick to touchwiz, it already includes a bunch of stuff that wasn't possible back on the GB days without root . I like the progression android has made with battery percentage etcc

[Q] MD7 to MD4 stock base to flash ROMs

I am on MD7 right now, and was wondering if there was a stock MD4 ROM in the dev forums that someone could point me to, so that I might flash a ROM on top of that.
I tried flashing PA 3.69 just now, and it failed on the get.prop, because my device didn't match.
Any help would be much appreciated.

MD7? Sprint doesn't have a version MD7. There is a stock rooted rom made by billard412 and one by freeza in the dev section.
