R: [Q] kernel for stock ota
Titanium kiss probably. Anyway, stock rom is very bad dude, try a sense rom like rc9.5,it's so much better
I'm using CDMA I don't see the rom you are talking about. And where do I find titanium kiss for CDMA?

if you have the ota then I'm gonna guess you're on virgin correct? as far as i know I think the kernel it comes with is the only stock one we can use after ota. if you don't mind leaving stock, I know you can use beyondexistence's codefirex rom...

Alright first topic from me.
After I updated my stock T989 to ics, I proceeded to root it according to the gb root procedures.
Was checking out various stuff when titanium backup pro tells me that I have 7mb left of 612mb system rom.
Is there anyway to free any of that up, or would I be wasting my time because it doesn't really matter?

TMobile bloat their ROM with these crappy apps
Only way to get more memory is to delete those .
Or you can go with custom ROM which I'm using now

Hello, I'm currently on custom firmware Juggernaut v5.0. I was wondering how I am able to update to ICS and then to DARKSIDE.EVOLUTION.3 [v8]. Do I use super wipe first and use the over the air update from t-mobile? Or how would I do this?
Just super wipe and then flash Darkside. You need an ICS radio too.

May I ask what an ICS radio is? and what it does?
The short answer is that GB radios won't work on ICS ROMs.
Sent from my SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
The ics radios have modified libs. If you use a gb radio u won't have service.
Edit: rils

Thank you very much guys!
One more question!
Just to to make sure, I can just use the super wipe and install the darkside custom rom right? I don't have to update to official ICS first?
Correct.

Clark44, the dev of the ROM, said that he might update. It all depends on his time, he's a full time student.
You can flash the update from Freeza over the ROM, but you also need to flash "Revert to LF9 Universal Search" found in the OP to have the full google search. Read the thread and see what has been reported...

I would ask myself if I could stand to lose TW features, stability, and which looked and felt better to you (if you tried one of the JB leaks). Really though, try both when official is out, because by then paranoid would have been updated several times
Im on JB TW, and I love it.

i am looking at the pacman rom. i am good with computers and phones. i have read the pacman rom page many MANY times over. the instructions say "extract the kernel from the rom and flash it" only problem i see... i can't find the kernel in the rom folder... this will be my first rom flash, so maybe i am missing something i just don't understand. i would post this in the pacman thread, but xda won't let me yet because i am new to this site. any help will be much appreciated!!!
The Kernel packaged with the pacman ROM is old and not good for battery life, I am using SuperSick right now and it's great.

i was trying everything. i thought i was doing something wrong
Know of any app that will work with it?

I just downloaded the pacman ROM a few days ago and used the included kernel, although it actually installs itself in the process anyway, but so far I have gotten over 16hours on a full charge and it wasn't even below 20%, I would recommend using it exactly as it comes
